  • Patent number: 4815225
Abstract: A calender period is set out on one sheet which faces a second sheet. The same calender period is set out on the second sheet but in mirror image to the first sheet. A transparent sheet is disposed between the sheets and is adapted to overlay one sheet or the second sheet. The transparent sheet includes storage pockets corresponding with the calender period set out on the sheets. Data or information placed on both sides of a data or information carrying sheet may then be associated with the same calender date by flipping the transparent sheet from one calender page to the other calender page.

  • Patent number: 4811507
Abstract: A device for a front lit illuminated panel for the directional illuminated of a display surface having at least one luminous source emitting a light flux which penetrates into a plate of transparent material and exits after encountering striations whose depth increases as a viewer observing the display moves away from the light source lighting the field of the plate. The individual striations are distributed along lines parallel to the lighted field of the plate, while being spaced from one another on each line. The length of the increased striations along their respective lines increase and the space along the same line, between individual striations, decrease as a viewer observing the display moves away from the light source.

  • Patent number: 4807608
Abstract: A mechanical penile prosthesis is disclosed. The prosthesis includes a sleeve that encapsulates a linear assembly of cups, an actuating means and a cable. The linear assembly of cups allows the prosthesis to be bent from an erect position to a flaccid position. The actuating mechanism includes a biasing member, a poppet with first and second shoulders, one or more sliding rings, and a flexible tine. Bending the prosthesis from its erect position to its flaccid position causes the poppet to move toward the distal end of the prosthesis, allowing the tines to lock behind the second shoulder. To return the prosthesis to its erect state the prosthesis is bent further until the sliding ring separates the tines, allowing the biasing member to force the second shoulder past the tines; the tines snapping back into a position on the proximal side of the first shoulder.

  • Patent number: 4805331
Abstract: Apparatus for either display, or for both display and dispensing, is mounted to shelf tag molding directs customer attention to a featured item in a store as customers approach the area of a shelf on which the item can be found. The apparatus comprises a frame that is pivotally mounted into a bracket assembly which is rigidly secured to the shelf tag molding. The frame holds on either side of its surfaces, promotional material that presents a message to the approaching customers. The apparatus includes biasing springs which position the frame in a steady state location that is normal to the shelf tag molding. Whenever the frame is deflected from its steady state location by, for example, a customer or a shopping cart moving past and striking it, the biasing springs automatically return the frame to its steady state location. This ensures that the advertising message appearing on the promotional materials continually remains in direct view of approaching customers.

  • Patent number: 4791944
Abstract: An eyelash curler and method for curling eyelashes. The curler has an upper jaw for placement on top of the eyelashes and a lower jaw for placement under the eyelashes. The angle of the upper jaw to the handle is approximately 48.degree. allowing the curler to be positioned in contact with the cheek during use. The person holds the curler with two fingers on two finger grips on opposite sides of a sleeve and a thumb on the thumb grip at the bottom of a plunger. The curler is sighted in a mirror through an alignment aperture in the neck and the curler is moved toward the eyelashes while keeping the reflection of the pupil in the aperture until the first finger grip touches the upper cheek and the thumb grip touches the lower cheek. Once contact is made, the hand is maneuvered slightly about the finger grip until the upper jaw contacts the eyelid. The thumb grip is then squeezed toward the finger grips until the lower jaw butts against the upper jaw curling the eyelashes between them.
