  • Patent number: 6389722
Abstract: A label holder which is intended to be mounted in front of the outer end of a rod (3) that projects out from a product display stand or corresponding structure. The rod includes a member (7) which enables the holder (4) to be pivotally mounted to the rod so that the holder can swing vertically. The rear side of the holder (4) includes a number of support surfaces (14, 15). The surfaces are located at mutually different distances from the rear surface of the holder and can be caused to coact selectively with the end surface of the rod (3) or with a rod-mounted member to enable the holder (4) to be adjusted to different angles relative to the rod.

  • Patent number: 6385874
Abstract: Spaced upper and lower sections are connected to medial sections by fold lines forming a pleat. The upper, lower and medial sections have decorative indicia forming an integrated decorative image. One or more of the indicia bearing sections have tongues that span the pleat and, optionally, mate in slits or openings to form these sections into an integrated, front indicia bearing portion of the card. The medial sections of the pleat between the upper and lower sections are folded back from the upper and lower sections into a substantially juxtaposed relation. The tongue or tongues comprise material from at least one of the medial sections which is broken free of the medial section to form an opening therein. Both medial sections have openings, which openings align when the sections are juxtaposed for receiving a product.

  • Patent number: 6385882
Abstract: A two-dimensional display having a three-dimensional visual appearance has printed on a substantially flat or planar surface a predetermined message or information. Superposed over the message is a lenticular lens. Adjacent to the message are a series of spaced apart lines which may either be coplanar or non-coplanar relative to the message. The spaced apart lines are arranged so that they are in a non-registration relationship with the spacing of individual lenticules forming the lenticular lens. The display produces an appearance of having the lines float or move as a viewer's focal angle or perspective of the display changes. A method for making such a display is also provided.

  • Patent number: 6381888
Abstract: A device for successively changing elongated flexible sheets or similar flexible objects from an active position to non-active positions includes a drum, relative to which the sheets or similar flexible objects are fixed. The drum is rotatable in two opposing rotational directions. The rotational directions of the drum are controlled by a timing device in relation to the rotational speed of the motor so that rotation takes place in a first direction for such a time that the sheet located in the active position becomes wound up onto the drum and that a second sheet, located in the first rotational direction after the first sheet, is carried to a position from which the second sheet is unwound from the drum to the active position, upon rotation of the drum in the other rotational direction. Thereafter the drum is rotated in the other rotational direction for such a time that the second sheet becomes unwound from the drum.

  • Patent number: 6367180
Abstract: An illuminated sign, readable during the night or day, and suitable for use as a house number display, uses a single illuminatable panel, on which a number of stencils are plac critical flicker frequency ed. Each stencil is a rectangular piece of opaque material, such as plastic or metal, in which a central cutout is made in the shape of a number. Several of these stencils are arrayed in front of the illuminatable panel, so that only the light coming through the central cutouts is visible through the stencils. The illuminatable panel is made of an array of LED's, with a diffuser to produce a uniform illumination, and is powered by one or more batteries. A light detector senses the onset of dusk, which activates the illuminatable panel, turning it on, and leaving it on for four or more hours. A constant-current electronic system powers the LEDs, which are pulsed on and off at a speed greater than 90 Hz, which makes the sign appear to the human eye as constantly illuminated.
