  • Patent number: 6612055
Abstract: A unitary sign panel including a transparent, preferably phosphorescent, plastic sheet having opposed forward and rearward planar surface and grooves in the rearward planar surface of the sheet to form outlines of desired indicia viewable from the forward planar surface of the sheet. Additional grooves are provided in the rearward planar surface forming hatch patterns within the outlines of the selected indicia which are also viewable from the forward planar surface of the sheet. The additional grooves preferably have a depth less than a depth of the grooves. The unitary sign panel is free of materials at the forward and rearward surfaces of the sheet such that light is transferable through the sheet in a direction perpendicular to the forward and rearward planar surfaces of the sheet. The sheet has a thickness sufficient for viewing through the sheet in the direction perpendicular to the forward and rearward planar surfaces of the sheet so that a viewer can see objects on the other side of the sign panel.

  • Patent number: 6612053
Abstract: Fluid decoration including a soft transparent or semitransparent envelope body and a seat body. At least two kinds of fluids with different specific weights and colors are filled in the envelope body. An inlaid member is placed in a bottom end of the envelope body. The bottom end is then sealed. The inlaid member has an upward extending patterned article. An ejecting device is disposed in the patterned article. The ejecting device is composed of a tube body and a driving unit connected with the tube body. A top end of the tube body is formed with an ejecting opening. The periphery of the tube body near the bottom thereof is formed with through holes. When the driving unit is powered on, the heavier fluid is pumped through the through hole into the tube body and forcedly pushed upward. The heavier fluid is then upward ejected from the ejecting opening of the ejecting device. Thereafter, the heavier fluid gradually splashes down onto the bottom of the envelope body.

  • Patent number: 6612054
Abstract: An illumination case used for decoration or advertisement. It includes a case-body, a front cover, an inner frame, a light source, a transparent back plate, an illumination filmstrip, a grating plate, and two step motors with a transmission that drives the grating plate to move. The transparent back plate is fixed onto the inner frame. The illumination filmstrip overlays the transparent back plate and is fixed against it. The two step motors mentioned above are installed on the inner frame behind the upper part or lower part of the transparent back plate, one on the left side, and the other on the right side. The above-mentioned grating plate is fitted with a hanging bar on both the upper side and bottom side respectively, which makes the grating plate spread out neatly. One hanging bar is linked with the transmission of the two above-mentioned step motors through a set of corresponding levers installed on the inner frame.

  • Patent number: 6604307
Abstract: A multi-ply composite container for consumer products is provided having a tubular body ply and a film label ply. The tubular body ply is formed of paperboard material, and the film label ply is peelably adhered to the outer surface of the tubular body ply. The film label ply is comprised of a polymeric film having inner and outer layers formed from polymeric materials. The inner layer is permanently bonded to the outer layer such that the layers provide a film label ply having predictable tear characteristics, yet having the necessary strength to prevent premature rupture of the container. An adhesive is applied on at least a portion of the inner layer of the film label ply. The adhesive is for peelably adhering the label ply to the outer surface of the tubular body ply. A plurality of perforations or a laser score may also be included for directed a tear in the film label ply. Graphical matter can be included on at least a portion of the inner or outer layer of the film label ply.

  • Patent number: 6564486
Abstract: Apparatus for displaying still images to viewers in motion relative to those images, such as passengers on a subway train, includes a plurality of images mounted on a surface, and a slitboard mounted between that surface and the viewer. As the viewers pass by, the slitboard acts like a shutter, creating an animation effect. In addition, there is a stretching or widening effect that enlarges the images, allowing images to be “preshrunk,” thereby allowing a large number of images in a small space, increasing the available frame rate of the animation. The stretching effect depends on the distance between the image surface and the slitboard.

  • Patent number: 6564484
Abstract: A swimming element enjoying system capable of applying an external stimulus to a swimming element moved at a predetermined rhythm, to thereby permit the swimming element to carry out different motion, to thereby provide an observer with a fresh surprise, so that the observer may be soothed or healed. A swimming element made in imitation of an aquatic life and a drive unit for driving the swimming element each are provided with a permanent magnet. The permanent magnet of the drive unit is rotated, to thereby permit an attracting/repulsing action to be carried out between the permanent magnets, leading to random vertical motion of said swimming element. Motion of the swimming element is randomly varied when a sensor detects an external stimulus.
