Abstract: The present invention relates to a parting surface structure of a bulletin device for indication or decoration in station yards, underground passages, buildings, exhibitions, etc. A fitting slot is formed in the inner peripheral edge of a parting surface body which constitutes the front face of a device frame, and a second parting surface portion having a desired parting surface width is fitted in the fitting slot. According to this construction, part of the parting portion can be replaced with a parting surface portion having a desired parting surface width according to a bulletin to be used in a manufacturing factory or at a site where the bulletin device is mounted. Thus, it is possible to make adjustment freely to a parting surface width suitable for a bulletin to be used.

Abstract: An illuminated sign comprises front and back sheets central portions of which are generally planar. The front sheet carries design elements thereon certain of which are intended to be highlighted. The back sheet has portals therein generally opposed to the areas to be highlighted and which are closed by flaps which may form a unitary part of the back sheet. The portals provide access to lamps contained within the sign. The sign is easily mounted from a ground surface and is economic to manufacture for use as a seasonal decoration.

Abstract: Street signs are signs placed in store fronts or store aisles, at service stations, or the like, to display messages to the public. They generally include a sign panel supported by a base assembly and legs connected to the base assembly which support the sign. The present invention includes such a street sign having legs pivotally attached to the base assembly so that when the sign is to be stored, it may be conveniently folded so as to be made relatively narrow for convenience of carrying and storage.

Abstract: A retro-fittable, controllably extendable leg rest apparatus for positioning an attached recliner chair leg rest member in retracted or forwardly extended positions. The apparatus includes an elongated frame bracket which may be retro-fittably secured to most conventional scissor linkage assemblies of various recliners. A mounting bracket is included having a first bracket portion secured to the leg rest member, and a second bracket portion having an elongated channel. A plurality of rivets extend through the elongated channel to secure the mounting bracket to the elongated frame bracket. The shanks of the rivets provide guide members upon which the elongated channel of the mounting bracket may slide. A spring is coupled in between a shoulder portion of the mounting bracket and the elongated frame bracket to bias the mounting bracket in a normally retracted position.

Abstract: A seating cluster for airport and similar seating areas, comprising a table positioned on a supporting surface, with six seats attached to and supported by the table adjacent each other in spaced-apart relation above the supporting surface. Each of the seats have a seat bottom having a front edge, opposed sides and a seat back. Each of the six seats are attached to the table with the front of its seat bottom positioned at an oblique angle to the front of a seat bottom of a first adjacent seat whereby each seat and its respective first adjacent seat are angled slightly to each other to facilitate conversation by occupants. Each of the six seats are positioned seat back-to-seat back with a second adjacent seat whereby occupants of each seat and the second adjacent seat are seated substantially back-to-back.

Abstract: A pair of metal plates sandwich a spacer made of low-friction material and a relatively large diameter circular opening passes through the three members which are held rotatably together by a flared ring or bushing or collar along the edge of the opening. One of the plates is mounted to the floor and a seat is coupled to the other plate. The seat may be attached to a slide carriage comprising one of the aforementioned swivel plates and another rectangular plate, each plate having tracks and rails along parallel outer edges which slidably mate with respectively corresponding rails and tracks on the other plate.

Abstract: A reclining chair is arranged having a back rest pivotably supported and mounted at its intermediate region to the upper lower and right arm portions of a base frame, a seat pivotably mounted at its rear end to the lowermost section of the back rest at a point situated lower than the intermediate back rest pivot, a foot rest pivotably mounted to and supporting the front end of the seat, and an extending member extending from the foot rest to a point lower than the pivot joint between the back rest and the seat for pivotal movement. The foot rest is sustained in sleeve-rod arrangement on the base frame.

Abstract: A portable lift apparatus for use with chairs, seats and the like comprises a bottom portion that is to be placed atop the seat bottom of the chair and a top portion pivotally mounted to the bottom portion. Support brackets are fixed to the top and bottom portions for mounting the top portion for pivotal movement between a lowered position, a raised position and a neutral position intermediate its raised and lowered positions. Springs are provided for urging the top portion toward its raised position. Latches are provided for releasably securing the top portion in the lowered and neutral positions and comprises means for preventing the top portion from becoming unlatched while in the neutral position. The latches further comprise hook-shaped members attached to the top and bottom portions adapted to partially overlie one another to define a latch opening. A latch pin is movably mounted within the latch opening for movement between an unlocking position and an locking position.

Abstract: A vehicle seat assembly is disclosed with a fixed position head rest and a vertically movable seat cushion and seat back. The head rest is positioned at the optimal location for visibility by a vehicle occupant. The seat cushion and seat back can be adjusted vertically to position the occupant's head in front of the head rest so that the occupant's eyes are at the optimum viewing height.

Abstract: An apparatus including a saddle arrangement, including a flexible top surface of a generally kidney shaped configuration, with an arcuate side wall depending downwardly therefrom mounted to a rigid floor. Captured therebetween is a relatively thick cushion, with a matrix of spaced springs mounted within a spring chamber underlying the cushion. Modifications of the invention include coil springs defining the matrix of springs, each including a fluid filled shock dampening bag mounted within each spring. A further modification includes a fluid chamber mounted within the cushion, as well as an optionally utilized pneumatic chamber mounted adjacent the fluid cushion to effect relative rigidity and height of the cushion to accommodate variations and comfort requirements by individual riders utilizing the saddle.

The folds in the unitary panel include: a center fold, which forms the apex of the A-frame two bottom folds each spaced a first predetermined distance from the center fold, which define a bottom panel adjacent each message panel, and two flange folds spaced a second predetermined distance from the center fold, which define a flange adjacent the end of each bottom panel. The base is established either by an interlocking tab and slot system located adjacent the flanges or by an adhesive interconnecting the two flanges.
