  • Patent number: 11968083
Abstract: Examples described herein relate to configuration of access points including Internet-of-Things (IoT) radio. An access point identifier list is received from a network administration node in a network. Each access point identifier in the access point identifier list is uniquely associated with an access point, which includes an IoT radio. A first rules list is received from the network administration node. Each rule in the first rules list indicates a constraint and access point configuration values. An objective function is used to identify access point identifiers satisfying one or more of the constraints in the rules. The access points associated with the identified access point identifiers are configured with the access point configuration values as indicated in the rules.

  • Patent number: 11937102
Abstract: Provided is a method and system for optimizing utilization and performance of one or more unlicensed bands in a network (Wi-Fi and Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS)) through a client device application that communicates with a central node deployed on a cloud platform. The method and system collects Radio Frequency (RF) measurements from a plurality of client devices and from a plurality of nearby point of attachments (PoAs) and transmits the collected RF measurements to the cloud platform. An optimal transmission channel/network in the one or more unlicensed bands is then calculated for one or more nearby PoAs using an Artificial Intelligence (AI) module based on the RF measurements, which utilizes a Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS), an Automated Frequency Coordinator (AFC) and a Spectrum Access System (SAS) to select the optimal transmission channel/network based on the data-rate result received from the DFS, AFC and SAS.

  • Patent number: 11849481
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications in unlicensed spectrum are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment may identify a service parameter configured for the user equipment for a shared radio frequency channel, such as a subcarrier spacing or beam direction for a directional beam for communications with a base station. The base station may acquire a channel occupancy time for the shared radio frequency channel. The user equipment may monitor for and receive a control message for the channel occupancy time from the base station. The control message may include an indication of service associated with the service parameter and a remaining duration of the channel occupancy time. Based on the indications, the user equipment may adapt one or more receive parameters (e.g., a monitoring periodicity, monitoring time occasions, and whether to skip monitoring) for communicating with the base station during the channel occupancy time.

  • Patent number: 11785485
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, apparatuses and systems for placing a range extender (RE) based on a distance between the RE and an access point (AP). An RE may determine a distance between the RE and AP based on round trip timing (RTT) information. In some aspects, the RE may exchange fine timing measurement (FTM) frames with the AP. The RE may determine a distance between itself and the AP based on the RTT information. Based on the distance between the RE and AP, the RE may provide a coarse placement indicator for improving the RE's location. The RE also may determine a signal strength or channel state information (CSI) with respect to the AP. Based on the signal strength or the CSI, the RE may provide a fine placement indicator indicating the RE may be placed nearer or further from the AP, or remain at its current location.
