  • Patent number: 11647435
Abstract: Techniques for sending packets and maintaining synchronization during handover is described. A user equipment (UE) may be handed over from a source base station to a target base station. The source base station may forward packets for the UE to the target base station, which may receive the packets out of order. In one design, the target base station may determine whether each packet can be sent in order to the UE, send the packet if it can be sent in order, and discard the packet otherwise. In another design, the target base station may re-order packets received within a re-ordering window and may send the re-ordered packets to the UE. In yet another design, the target base station may process each packet received out of order as if the packet is in order, e.g., by incrementing a hyper-frame number (HFN) or re-assigning the packet with a later sequence number.

The WTRU may be configured with a plurality of BWPs within an unlicensed frequency spectrum. The WTRU may then determine any of at least one monitoring period and at least one offset per each BWP. The WTRU may then monitor the BWPs based on any of the at least one monitoring period and the at least one offset. The WTRU may receive at least one signal from the serving cell. The signal may be at least one of a downlink control information (DCI), a synchronization signal block (SSB), a reference signal, or a preamble.

  • Patent number: 11611969
Abstract: A device can have collocated communication circuits and operate in a parallel mode if selected first wireless channels are above a certain quality, and operate in a time division (TD) mode if the selected first wireless channels are below a certain quality. The parallel mode can include using first channels for a first protocol that do not overlap a second channel used by a second protocol. The TD mode can include first time periods in which a first protocol uses first channels that overlap the second channel, while the second protocol is inactive, and second time periods, in which the first protocol is inactive and the second protocol is active.

  • Patent number: 11611884
Abstract: Dynamic configuration of Overlapping Basic Set Service Preamble Detect (OBSS/PD) parameters for an Access Point (AP) may be provided. First, a plurality of stations within a Spatial Reuse (SR) range of the AP may be determined. Next, Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio (SINR) calculations associated with the plurality of stations may be performed to determine an SINR impact on the plurality of stations if the AP performs an SR transmission given OBSS/PD parameters currently configured for the AP. Then, based on the SINR calculations, the OBSS/PD parameters for the AP may be dynamically adjusted.

  • Patent number: 11589218
Abstract: A first dual SIM user equipment (UE) has a first wireless connection to first Citizens Broadband radio Services Devices (CBSD) of a first network and a second wireless connection to a second CBSD of a second network. Different encryption and different frequency hopping patterns are used with regard to communicating the same voice packet information over the first and second wireless connections. The same voice information is attempted to be redundantly communicated over the two connections, e.g. concurrently or with a slight delay with regard to the two connections. The CBRS communications are typically less reliable than cellular licensed spectrum communications, and a particular encrypted voice packet may, and sometimes is lost; however, the redundancy is used to compensate for expected losses. Successfully recovered encrypted voice packets are sent from the CBSDs to a packet synchronizer which performs decryption and combines the recovered packets into a single packet stream.

  • Patent number: 11558759
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for leveraging uplink (U)L scheduling information obtained by way of Quality of Service (QoS) Null/QoS Data frames and Media Access Control (MAC) headers transmitted by any station (STA). This UL scheduling information can be read by any access point (AP) in an extended service set (ESS), and used to improve network performance. For example, an AP may use such UL scheduling information (from STAs associated to co-channel APs in the same ESS) to minimize the latency for UL latency-sensitive traffic in that ESS. Additionally, an AP may use such UL scheduling information to minimize contention amongst STAs connected to different APs on the same channel in the same ESS, thereby improving system capacity.

  • Patent number: 11553482
Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to determining symbols over which to transmit repetitions for certain types of communications. A resource grant can include information for transmitting a number of repetitions over a collection of resources, such as a starting symbol over which to transmit communications, a number of symbols over which to transmit communications, and/or a nominal number of repetitions to transmit. Where time division multiplexing (TDM) communications are configured, a slot format indicator (SFI) can be semi-statically or dynamically configured and can indicate a communication direction of symbols within one or more slots as being uplink, downlink, or flexible. Thus, mapping uplink communications to the symbols may be based on additional considerations.

  • Patent number: 11528719
Abstract: Latency reduction techniques for radio access networks are described. In various embodiments, a reduced transmission time interval (rTTI) may be implemented in order to reduce air interface latency in a radio access network. In some embodiments, an rTTI block may be defined, and some operations may be performed in rTTI block-wise fashion in order to reduce the marginal overhead associated with implementation of the rTTI. In various embodiments in which an rTTI is implemented, DM-RS granularity may be improved by use of techniques that enable data and reference signals to be multiplexed within a same OFDM symbol. In some embodiments, a current transmission time interval (TTI) may be maintained, and latency reduction may be achieved via the use of novel techniques for one or more of code block (CB) segmentation, uplink (UL) resource element (RE) mapping and HARQ cycle timing. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 11477781
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for supporting prioritized transmission opportunity (TXOP) sharing in wireless communications systems, e.g., various 802.11 wireless communications systems, are described. A wireless station may be allocated a transmission opportunity. A shared transmission type of trigger frame is implemented, which allows the wireless station, acting as a host station, to make available transmission resources, which have been acquired by the wireless station, to one or more guest stations. A trigger based (TB) frame, corresponding to the transmitted shared transmission type trigger frame, is used by the host station and one or more guest stations to transmit data to an access point. An access point transmits priority information, e.g., in management frames, to control the use of shared resources in TB frames corresponding to shared transmission type trigger frames.
