Abstract: Systems, methods, devices and computer program products are provided that improve stego key management of watermarking systems and reduce the impact of leaked secrets related to watermark embedding and extraction operations. In the event that a watermark extractor is compromised and its extraction stego key is revealed, new extraction stego key sets are generated and assigned to a particular group of devices with similar security features. The new extraction stego key sets have significant overlap with one another, and can be retired once a device within the particular group of devices is compromised. The described techniques are complementary to other security enhancement practices, such as obfuscation and tamper resistant techniques, to strengthen the security of a watermarking system.

  • Patent number: 9478050
Abstract: The invention relates to an imaging system for imaging an object. Projection data of the object are acquired by using a radiation source emitting primary radiation (14) from a primary focal spot (15) and unwanted secondary radiation (16) from secondary focal spots (17). A first image of the object is reconstructed from the acquired projection data, a forward projection of the secondary radiation through the first image is simulated for generating secondary projection data, and a second image is generated based on the acquired projection data and the secondary projection data. Since the secondary projection data, which can generally cause image artifacts, are determined, the reconstruction unit can consider these unwanted secondary projection data while reconstructing the second image, in order to reduce the influence of the secondary projection data on the reconstructed second image, thereby improving the image quality.

  • Patent number: 9471210
Abstract: After selecting two or more image series for comparison, images of the image series are interleaved so that they are alternatively displayed in a comparison pane on a display device. In one embodiment, after one or more image series are selected for comparison, an interleaved image series is created containing each of the images of the one or more selected image series, or, alternatively, the interleaved image series comprises links to the images arranged in the interleaved pattern. If differences exist in the images of the multiple image series, these differences may be more easily detectable as the display device cycles between the images. Comparison of images in an interleaved image series may be more advantageous if the images of each selected image series are of a common anatomical area, common image size, and the images are in the same order.

  • Patent number: 9471983
Abstract: An information processing device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a detection unit, a calculation unit, a determination unit, and an estimation unit. The detection unit detects each three-dimensional position of a plurality of parts of an instruction object for indicating an image output surface. The calculation unit calculates an intersection point of a direction indicated by the instruction object and the image output surface based on each three-dimensional position of the parts of the instruction object. The determination unit determines whether the intersection point is within a predetermined range on the image output surface. The estimation unit estimates a position indicated by the instruction object on the image output surface based on the determination made by the determination unit.

  • Patent number: 9466009
Abstract: A system capable of determining which recognition algorithms should be applied to regions of interest within digital representations is presented. A preprocessing module utilizes one or more feature identification algorithms to determine regions of interest based on feature density. The preprocessing modules leverages the feature density signature for each region to determine which of a plurality of diverse recognition modules should operate on the region of interest. A specific embodiment that focuses on structured documents is also presented. Further, the disclosed approach can be enhanced by addition of an object classifier that classifies types of objects found in the regions of interest.

  • Patent number: 9454695
Abstract: A method for matching a pattern to a multi-view sequence includes receiving a multi-view sequence which includes a plurality of sequences. Each sequence includes symbols drawn from a respective alphabet. A pattern to be matched on the multi-view sequence is received. The pattern includes a sequence of symbols drawn from a plurality of the alphabets. Offsets are assigned to the symbols as a function of a latest position of the symbol in the pattern or a length of the pattern otherwise. The multi-view sequence is traversed with the pattern to identify index positions in the sequence at which the pattern matches the corresponding part of the multi-view sequence. The pattern is shifted between index positions by a shift which is based on a minimum of the offsets for those of the symbols of the plurality of sequences that are aligned with a last of the symbols in the pattern.

  • Patent number: 9449382
Abstract: A computer-controlled system determines attributes of a frexel, which is an area of human skin, and applies a reflectance modifying agent (RMA) at the pixel level to automatically change the appearance of human features based on one or more digital images. The change may be based on a digital image of the same frexel, for as seen in a prior digital photograph captured previously by the computer-controlled system. The system scans the frexel and uses feature recognition software to compare the person's current features in the frexel with that person's features in the digital image. It then calculates enhancements to the make the current features appear more like the features in the digital image, and it applies the RMA to the frexel to accomplish the enhancements. Or the change may be based on a digital image of another person, through the application of RMAs.

  • Patent number: 9443144
Abstract: Methods and systems for measuring group behavior are provided. Group behavior of different groups may be measured objectively and automatically in different environments including a dark environment. A uniform visible signal comprising images of members of a group may be obtained. Facial motion and body motions of each member may be detected and analyzed from the signal. Group behavior may be measured by aggregating facial motions and body motions of all members of the group. A facial motion such as a smile may be detected by using the Fourier Lucas-Kanade (FLK) algorithm to register and track faces of each member of a group. A flow-profile for each member of the group is generated. Group behavior may be further analyzed to determine a correlation of the group behavior and the content of the stimulus. A prediction of the general public's response to the stimulus based on the analysis of the group behavior is also provided.
