Abstract: A method is disclosed for analyzing with a computer (1) the motion of an athlete (3), of a team or a patient during an activity, said method comprising the steps of defining a number of unevenly time-spaced key positions in said motion, said key positions being of particular interest for analyzing the correct execution of said motion by said athlete (3) or team. A video sequence (11) of said motion is acquired with a camera (2) and still pictures (12) are extracted from said video sequence (11). Templates can trigger the automatic extraction of still pictures (12). For extraction purposes, a metadata recorded with a sensor (5) at the same time as the video sequence (11) can be used. Said still pictures (12) correspond to said previously defined key positions. Thereafter said extracted still pictures (12) are displayed simultaneously on a same display (10).

Abstract: A method to provide an information item and information expert to a user includes storing a first information item, task data, and a first expert identifier in a database. The task data includes a plurality of tasks and at least one attribute associated with each of the tasks. The first expert identifier identifies a first expert associated with the first information item and/or the first task. A task information update is created by associating the first information item with the first task in response to determining that it is related to the at least one attribute associated with the first task, and by providing the first expert identifier with the task information update in response to determining that it is associate with at least one of the first information item and the first task. Users that are associated with the first task are then provided the task information update.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a block boundary node and a method for setting up a connection between block boundary nodes. The method comprises: an ingress boundary node querying and verifying block information of an ingress subnet point after receiving a connection setup request message, and sending a block information query request to an egress boundary node upon successful verification; the egress boundary node querying and verifying block information of an egress subnet point after receiving the block information query request, and sending the block information to the ingress boundary node upon successful verification; the ingress boundary node querying route by using the block information of the ingress subnet point and egress subnet point as query parameters, and sending a connection setup request message to the egress boundary node upon querying the route successfully; and the ingress boundary node receiving a connection setup acknowledgement message returned by the egress boundary node.

Abstract: The METHODS, SYSTEMS AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCTS FOR A PEER-TO-PEER CACHE CONTENT REPLACER (“P2PCCR”) rates the value of storing specified existing content and replaces the lowest rated existing content with the requested new content. In one embodiment, a method for content replacement that may be used in a peer to peer video on demand system is described. The method includes receiving a request for new content, obtaining usage and availability data, determining a value rating based on the usage and availability data, and replacing lowest value rated content with said new content.

Abstract: Improved techniques that facilitate the use of podcasts are disclosed. The improved techniques can pertain to publishing, hosting, accessing, subscribing, managing, organizing, searching, browsing, transferring, and/or playing podcasts. According to one aspect, tags are embedded into syndication feeds (e.g., RSS feeds) that may be made available for distribution by an online media store to facilitate the management of podcasts. In accordance with one embodiment, an explicit tag may be embedded at the feed and/or episode level to indicate that the feed and/or episode includes explicit content. In accordance with another embodiment, a duration tag may be embedded at the episode level to indicate an estimated duration associated with the episode. Upon downloading the episode, the duration may be replaced by the actual duration of the episode. In accordance with yet another embodiment, a new feed-URL tag may be embedded in a syndication feed to identify a new URL at which the feed is to be accessed.

Abstract: A node device in an information communicating system: determines whether or not the node device is communicable over the IPv4; determines whether or not the node device is communicable over the IPv6; acquires a first routing table that is generated using a first node device communicable over the IPv4 from a predetermined device that is connected to a network if communication is possible over the IPv4; and acquires a second routing table that is generated using a second node device communicable over the IPv6 from the predetermined device that is connected to the network if communication is possible over the IPv6. If the controller determines that communication is possible over the IPv4 and the controller determines that communication is possible over the IPv6, the controller acquires one of the first one of the first routing table and the second routing table according to a priority order.

Abstract: A system and a method for the management of addressable network resources (e.g., Web pages, electronic documents accessed via a Uniform Resource Identifier, etc.) within a network are provided. Specifically, embodiments of addressable network resource selection systems and methods are disclosed for managing the analysis and identification of optimal links between addressable network resources. A resource selection component enables pruning of undesirable pages on the basis of various usage metrics, including user depart rate. The resource selection component may then identify optimal linking strategies by determining one or more linking scores for remaining pages based on any of a number of different page usage metrics. In other embodiments, addressable network resource selection systems and methods may weight linking scores to emphasize desired outcomes, such as encouraging exploration of a network-based site or encouraging high aggregate sales figures.

Abstract: An approach for supporting automated fault isolation is provided. An alarm is received indicating a fault within a customer network that includes one or more network elements. The customer network being monitored by a service provider. A script is retrieved for specifying a dialogue with the network elements for data collection. A command is transmitted to the customer network according to the one script to obtain data from the network elements, wherein the data is utilized to determine the fault. Further, a workflow event corresponding to the alarm is generated, wherein resolution of the fault is automated according to the workflow event.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for updating documents in a distributed network. When a new document needs to be added to the network, or when changes are to be made to an existing document, keywords are extracted from the document and used to generate update messages for each keyword. The nodes responsible for each keyword are determined. The individual update messages are consolidated into a composite update messages that is sent to a first node in the network. The first node extracts those portions of the composite message associated with it, and forwards the composite message to a second node in the network.

Abstract: A method of creating social networks designed to facilitate diffusion of desired behavior among groups of people. A social network may be created prior to assigning people to nodes in the network. Communications between people in the network may be controlled and modified to promote diffusion of the desired behavior.

Abstract: An image display apparatus for displaying an image of an object on a screen by using a projector includes a three-dimensional image display unit having a plurality of screens overlaid but spaced apart from one another, each of the screens diffusing and reflecting part of the light incident thereon and transmitting the remainder of the light, and an image projection unit having a plurality of projectors, each of the projectors is assigned to the corresponding one of the screens and projects an image of the object on the screen. The image projection unit displays a three-dimensional image of the object in the three-dimensional image display unit by projecting on the screens the shapes of the object in sectioning positions corresponding to the positions of the screens.

The optimization is determined as a minimum of a sum of a transit cost, a backbone cost, and a caching cost. The transit cost includes a money cost per data unit. The backbone cost includes a money cost per data unit and time unit. The caching cost includes a money cost per server unit. In response to determining the optimization, the network aware server sends a content identifier to the cache server, and the cache server receives the content identifier, determines a source of a content item, and if the source is the same as the content identifier, then cache the content item.

Abstract: A method for establishing data connections on a mobile network, a mobile network, and a policy control entity are disclosed. The method includes: establishing a data channel between a user equipment (UE) and a gateway (GW), and allocating an Internet Protocol (IP) address to the UE according to an address allocation request or a data channel setup request sent from the UE; and triggering the policy control entity to establish or update a policy control session according to the IP address. By using the mobile network and the policy control entity under the present invention, after the data channel is established between the UE and the GW, the GW may trigger the policy control entity to establish or update a policy control session.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes displaying virtualization level options for a business network to a user, the virtualization level options including at least: a first virtualization level option that includes externalizing interaction logic in the business network, a second virtualization level option that includes virtualizing content in the business network, and a third virtualization level option that includes virtualizing components in the business network. The method includes receiving a selection by the user of at least one of the virtualization level options. Abstract: A user can be assigned to one of a plurality of filtering profiles to filter the user's incoming email messages. Each filtering profile in the plurality of filtering profiles filters the incoming emails according to a different set of filtering rules. The filtering profiles are applied to incoming emails, and the emails are delivered according to the rules of the currently-assigned filtering profile. The user's actions on the received email is tracked to determine a first performance score for how accurately the first filtering profile is filtering incoming emails of the user, and if the first performance score is less than a score value, the user might be assigned to a different filtering profile.
