  • Patent number: 8811162
Abstract: The invention relates to a network element for allocating at least one user data link to a multiplex connection between a first network element and a second network element. The first element generates a first signaling message and transmits it to the second network element, the first signaling message indicating that the first element is available to transfer at least one respective user data link via one respective multiplex connection. The second network element assigns one multiplex connection between the first and second network element to each of the user data link or selects a transfer outside a multiplex connection for the user data link in accordance with the indicated availability of the first network element and depending on whether the second network element supports the transfer of the at least one user data link via multiplex connection.

  • Patent number: 8811362
Abstract: A radio receiver receives multiple radio frequency (RF) carriers where each RF carrier corresponds to a logical entity or object used in multi-carrier communications called a cell. A receiving radio node receives signals on serving cells, including a serving cell on a primary carrier and a serving cell on a secondary carrier, and on neighboring cells, including a neighboring cell on the primary carrier and a neighboring cell on the secondary carrier. Initially, a power delay profile is calculated for each of the serving cells and the neighboring cells. An association is determined between at least one cell on the primary carrier and at least one cell on the secondary carrier based on the calculated power delay profiles. The association is then later used in performing interference cancellation in the radio node.

  • Patent number: 8811145
Abstract: The present invention discloses a detection method, a receiver, and an apparatus in a multiple-input multiple-output single-carrier block transmission system. Through sorted QR decomposition (Sorted QR Decomposition, SQRD) decomposition based on a minimum mean squared error (Minimum Mean Squared Error, MMSE) criterion, an matrix inverse operation in minimum mean squared error equalization is avoided, and complexity is significantly reduced. In addition, through layer-by-layer soft interference cancellation detection after the SQRD decomposition and further iterative processing, better detection performance may be obtained. Especially, inter-stream interference suppression may be performed in first iteration.

  • Patent number: 8811196
Abstract: Remote field testing of mobile communication devices is provided herein. By way of example, an IP gateway of a target mobile network can be monitored. A mobile originated data packet associated with a test device can be updated or translated to include information of a device that is activated on the mobile network. Likewise, a mobile network originated data packet, routed to the activated device and/or identifying the test device, can be forwarded to the test device. As described herein, two way data exchange between the mobile network and the test device can be implemented even if the test device is not pre-activated on the mobile network. Further, an interface for the two way communication can comprise any suitable Internet Protocol (IP) network, enabling application testing remote from wireless access points of the mobile network.

  • Patent number: 8811282
Abstract: A system and method to provide call delivery to an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network for a Mobile Directory Number (MDN) homed in a second generation (2G) wireless network, without requiring Wireless Intelligent Network (WIN) operations and associated Mobile Switching Center emulation (MSCe) translations for routing the call request. A Home Location Register (HLR) determines whether the subscriber has subscribed to the IMS services. The HLR-based subscriber profile is enhanced with new IMS-related subscriber information. Enhanced American National Standards Institute-41 (ANSI-41) Mobile Application Part (MAP) operations and a new ANSI-41 parameter allow the MSCe to re-route the call origination request from a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) to an entry point for the IMS network based upon the new IMS-related subscriber information received from the HLR. A Domain Name Server (DNS) supports routing-related traffic distribution.

  • Patent number: 8806040
Abstract: A network manager establishes a network connection with a local area network (LAN) using a gateway device that interfaces the LAN with the Internet. A request is transmitted to the gateway device via the network connection to access a Web server of the Internet. A response page received from the Internet via the gateway device is examined to determine whether the response page is a redirect page, or if the response page is from a domain different from that was requested, from a Web proxy server that requires a user to log in, in order to access the Web server. It is determined whether credentials associated with the user required for the login page have been previously cached locally. The cached credentials of the user is automatically provided in response to the redirect page without user intervention to log into the Web proxy server, if it is determined that the credentials have been previously cached locally.
