Abstract: A system for controlling the operation of a window installed in a door of a vehicle, comprising a control module, a vehicle door configured to move upwardly from a closed position to a fully open position, a window configured to move between a first up position and a second down position in which the window is stored in the vehicle door, and a mechanism to move the window between the first up position and the second down position. The control module is configured to direct the mechanism to move the window into the second down position when the control module has received a signal indicating that action has been taken to move the vehicle door towards the fully open position.
Abstract: A hail resistant roofing system and method includes a roofing substrate such as a shingle or tile or membrane having an array of exposed upwardly projecting features. The features may rise to sharp points and may have side surfaces that are angled relative to the plane of the roofing substrate. The features are spaced and arranged so that a large hail stone capable of damaging the roofing substrate will always impact one or more of the exposed features. This can break up the hail stone into smaller benign pieces or can redirect the energy and direction of the hail stone so that the impact is absorbed without damage to the roofing substrate.

Abstract: An integrated door framing system is provided including a first L-shaped piece and a second L-shaped piece which can be assembled to form a U-shaped body that fits over a wall edge facing a wall opening formed for installing a door or window therewithin. The U-shaped body provides a complete, integrated door frame, casing, and molding assembly using a reduced and easy-to-assemble set of parts.
Abstract: A building framework is disclosed herein comprising a first structural member, a second structural member, and a third structural member disposed between the first and second structural members, a first web member connecting the first and third structural members in a spaced apart relationship, and a second web member connecting the second and third structural members in a spaced apart relationship. The first web member is positioned relative to the second web member such that the shortest distance between the first web member and second web member is greater than or equal to 5 times the thickness of the third structural member. Additional products, systems, and methods also are disclosed.
Abstract: A set of essentially identical panels, such as building panels, provided with a mechanical locking system including a displaceable tongue arranged in a displacement groove having a first opening at a first edge of a first panel. The tongue is configured to be displaced in the displacement groove along a displacement axis to attain a locking state wherein a first portion of the tongue cooperates with a first tongue groove having a second opening at a second edge of an adjacent second panel, for vertical locking of the first and the second edge. A second portion of the tongue is configured to cooperate with the second edge of the adjacent second panel via an elongated element for vertical unlocking of the first and the second edge.

Abstract: A window curtain may include a top track, at least a sliding unit, and a plurality of shades, and the top track has at least two track rods sleeved together, which reduces the packaging and shipping costs. Each of the track rods is hollow to form a channel therein, and the channel comprises two vertical guide tracks. The sliding unit comprises a plurality of first sliding bases formed in parallel, and each of the first sliding bases other than the innermost one is connected to a second sliding base. Each of the second sliding bases comprises a pulley support, and each of the pulley supports has at least a pulley set installed thereon. The pulley sets are adapted to slide along the track rods through the guide tracks which have no height difference so as to improve the smoothness of sliding movement of the pulley sets.
Abstract: An occupant support having a seat cushion. The seat cushion includes a rear pad and a front pad selectively movable with respect to the rear pad between a retracted position and an extended position.
Abstract: Provided is a panel suitable for forming a floor covering. The panel has a substantially planar top side, a substantially planar bottom side, and at least four substantially linear side edges. The linear side edges have at least one pair of opposite side edges. The linear side edges may be provided with a locking means.

Abstract: A plurality of floor panels consists of a first series of floor panels includes first floor panels, and a second series of floor panels includes second floor panels. The first and second floor panels are configured for fold-type coupling. The first and second floor panels define coupling parts mutually differing from each other and are configured so that the first and second floor panels are compatible and able to be coupled to one another.
Abstract: A chair includes: a backrest having an opening or recess in a portion thereof; and a solar panel disposed on a face inside the opening or recess.
Abstract: A mobile home skirting base comprising: a horizontal surface; and two substantially equal, substantially symmetrical vertical surfaces co-extruded with the horizontal surface forming a channel to insert a mobile home skirting panel wherein the vertical surfaces each having an inwardly oriented retention edge that secure the mobile home skirting panel. The height of the vertical surfaces and the inward orientation of the vertical surfaces' retention edges, along with the other aspects of the invention, allows the mobile home skirting base to provide strong support, stabilization, and protection of the skirting panels.
Abstract: In a roofing structure, two roof panels with different slopes and lengths are positioned back-to-back, the vertical back walls of the panels having a uniform height. The seam between the two differently-sloped panels are connected by a ridge cap set at a uniform height. The ridge cap covers the seam, extending on both sides to a distance from the back walls of the roof panels sufficient to create a capillary break therefrom (preventing moisture migration) and then downwards and slightly towards the back walls of the roof panels, thereby using gravity to direct the water into the downward sloping roof panels.
Abstract: A gatebox system for delivering fire retardant fluid from a firefighting aircraft. A first and second gate opening are formed through a lower portion of a gatebox. The gates are hingedly connected along edges of the openings. A drive shaft in the gatebox is rotatable in gates-closing and gates-opening directions. Crank arms are fixed to the drive shaft and coupled to the gates by connecting links, which define an over-center geometry while the gates are at a closed position, such that weight of the fluid on the first gate induces torque on the drive shaft in the gates-closing direction. Rotation of the drive shaft in the gates-opening direction enables control of the fluid flow from the hopper according to an angular position of the drive shaft.
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for a seat base for a saddle seat. An example seat base may include a first face, the first face forming a planar surface to allow the seat base to be arranged on a surface to be seated, and a second face, the second face forming a concave surface, the concave surface restricting the lateral movement of the saddle seat by guiding the round lower part of the saddle seat towards the lowest point of the concave surface.
