  • Patent number: 9964394
Abstract: An alignment apparatus (the tool) of the present invention includes a pair of bracket devices for rigidly holding shafts. As the shafts are secured to the bracket devices with chains, sensors of one of the bracket devices are exposed to an extension beam of the other bracket device thereby defining gaps or distances between the extension beam and the sensors. If offset is determined between the distances because one shaft is misaligned relative the other shaft, the sensors send signal to a mobile device, thereby informing a user about misalignment between the shafts.

  • Patent number: 9949445
Abstract: A plant trimming guide apparatus, including a plurality of guide blades made of a resilient material, and a flat collar having a length, a width, an attachment surface, and made of a resilient material. Each of the plurality of guide blades has a pivot end that is secured pivotably with a common securement pin, and an opposed based end, with the plurality of base ends attached to and extending from an attachment surface of the collar, in a series along the length between the first end and the second end of the collar. Securing the first and second ends of the collar into a formed ring with the attachment surface facing outwardly causes the guide blades to extend radially from the common pivot ends and bend semi-spherically to the base ends, forming a spherical trimming guide.

  • Patent number: 9945667
Abstract: The present invention relates to a sensing system and a sensing method using the same. The sensing system includes at least one tested unit and an optical fiber measuring unit. The tested unit includes a container, a strain arm and a float. The container can be filled with a fluid, and the strain arm is connected with the float and combined with a measuring portion of the optical fiber measuring unit. When the container is disposed on a body of interest, the surface inclination or settlement of the body of interest would cause changes of buoyant force on the floating element and induce bending deformation of the strain arm. Accordingly, the surface deformation of the body of interest can be determined by detecting the bending deformation of the strain arm using the measuring portion combined with the strain arm.

  • Patent number: 9909868
Abstract: The present invention provides a gauging jig, for gauging whether projections of first and second rollers, which are disposed in parallel on both sides of a carrying surface of a platform, coincide on the surface. The gauging jig includes a pointer instrument which is provided on a side of the platform and perpendicular to the carrying surface. The pointer instrument has a first end and a second end. The first end is connected to the first roller and intersects with a central axis of the first roller, while the second end extends close to the second roller. With the gauging jig, an operator can promptly and accurately gauge whether the projections of the first and second rollers coincide on the carrying surface. Therefore, gauging time can be saved while times of trial production can be reduced or even omitted, thereby improving the production efficiency and reducing cost.

  • Patent number: 9903700
Abstract: A fixture enables a stylus extension to be angularly aligned relative to an adapter plate that mounts onto a CMM probe head. Alignment may be carried out on a flat surface remotely from the CMM. The adapter plate is mounted to the fixture, which includes an access hole providing access to adjustment screws at the rear of the adapter plate. One or more lateral extensions are connected to the stylus extension to define a calibration axis perpendicular to a probe axis of the stylus extension and perpendicular to a central axis of the adapter plate about which angular alignment is desired. Angular adjustments of the stylus extension are made while the adapter plate is mounted to the fixture, and a degree to which the calibration axis is parallel to a plane of the flat surface is detected, for example using a dial indicator engaging points on the lateral extension(s).
