  • Patent number: 10873930
Abstract: A system and method for mapping a combined frequency division duplexing (FDD) Time Division Multiplexing (TDM)/Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) downlink subframe for use with half-duplex and full-duplex terminals in a communication system. Embodiments of the downlink subframe vary Forward Error Correction (FEC) types for a given modulation scheme as well as support the implementation of a smart antenna at a base station in the communication system. Embodiments of the system are also used in a TDD communication system to support the implementation of smart antennae. A scheduling algorithm allows TDM and TDMA portions of a downlink to efficiently co-exist in the same downlink subframe and simultaneously support full and half-duplex terminals.

  • Patent number: 10848403
Abstract: In one example, a network device external to a services complex injects a plurality of probe packets along service chains provided by the services complex, wherein each of the plurality of probe packets includes a first timestamp indicating a time at which the network device sent the respective probe packet. Each of a plurality of service nodes in the services complex modifies each of the plurality of probe packets by inserting a respective second timestamp indicating a respective time at which the respective service node processed the respective one of the plurality of probe packets. An analytics device aggregates probe report information received from each of the plurality of service nodes to determine one or more path monitoring metrics.

  • Patent number: 10833812
Abstract: Facilitating configurable hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback types for new radio sidelink communication can be performed for a 5G wireless network. Based on whether reception of data was successful or not, a reception node can send acknowledgement (ACK) data or negative acknowledgement (NACK) data to a base station using an uplink control signal. Therefore, the feedback data can be used to manage subsequent resource allocation decisions within the 5G wireless network.

  • Patent number: 10820231
Abstract: A mobility management node in a wireless network receives message data from an Internet of Things (IoT) device. The mobility management node obtains a non-Internet Protocol (IP) Access Point Name (APN) associated with the message data, and extracts Class of Service (CoS) and/or Quality of Service (QoS) indicators embedded in the non-IP APN. The mobility management node queues and prioritizes the message data, among other message data, based on the extracted CoS and QoS indicators. The mobility management node dequeues and forwards the message data, among the other message data, from the mobility management node to a Service Capability Exposure Function (SCEF) node based on the extracted CoS and QoS indicators.

  • Patent number: 10791088
Abstract: Methods, non-transitory computer readable media, network traffic management apparatuses, and network traffic management systems that obtain an assigned Internet Protocol (IP) address from a DHCP server in response to an address request received from a client. One of a plurality of processing cores, on which a traffic management process is executing, is identified. The assigned IP address is modified based on the identified processing core. The modified IP address is sent to the client in response to the received address request. With this technology, connections associated with a same subscriber can advantageously be disaggregated to the same traffic management process.

  • Patent number: 10708144
Abstract: In general, the disclosure describes techniques for evaluating application quality of experience metrics over a software-defined wide area network. For instance, a network device may receive an application data packet of a data flow. In response to receiving the application data packet, the network device determines whether a packet size of the application data packet is represented in a reference data store. In response to determining that the packet size is not represented in the reference data store, the network device predicts, based on the reference data store, flow metrics for the packet size for each of a plurality of Wide Area Network (WAN) links. The network device selects a WAN link on which to send the application data packet based on the predicted flow metrics.
