Abstract: A computer-implemented method including: receiving data representing updates to transaction entries in a ledger of an accounting system, each transaction entry identifying an account that corresponds to the transaction, at least some of the updates a) each changing the identified account from a first account to a second account and b) having been submitted by multiple users of the accounting system; analyzing the updates to infer a correlation between the first account and the second account; generating a rule defining a modification of transaction entries, wherein the rule, if applied to transaction entries received by the accounting system, would modify transaction entries identifying the first account to identify the second account; and storing the rule in a storage system such that the stored rule can be accessed and executed by a computer program executing on one or more computer systems, the execution of the rule causing the modification of the transaction entries defined by the rule.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure generally relate to an electronic cargo payment system and methods for electronically and automatically processing electronic payments for goods shipped by carriers for shippers. In embodiments, the accounts receivable system of the carrier transfers one or more invoices to a central payment system. The central payment system stores and organizes the invoices. A shipper communicates with the central payment system to view invoices related to that shipper. Upon approval of the invoice, the central payment system can automatically pay the invoice for the shipper and to the carrier.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for accessing records using derivative locators. An open financial transaction may be initiated by a consumer at a merchant. The merchant may provide information relating to the transaction, which may include information about the consumer's device, to a repository. The merchant may provide transaction information to the acquiring bank, which may provide transaction to the global financial network, which may provide transaction information to an issuing bank. One or more requesting party (e.g., one or more of the acquiring bank, global financial network, or issuing bank) may formulate a derivative locator based on the transaction information received. The derivative locator may function as an index through which records in the repository may be accessed by the requesting party. A time comparison may be made in assisting with accessing the correct record in the repository.

Abstract: Attendance tracking via mobile devices may be provided. Once a meeting begins, a plurality of mobile devices present at the meeting may be identified. An attendance report for a plurality of attendees at the meeting may be provided based on the presence of each of the identified plurality of mobile devices.

Abstract: There is provided a method and system for qualification testing in a social network service. Qualification testing provides access control into a social network, wherein qualification is based on answers to questions related to a topic. In one example, members admitted to the network provide guidance, notes and research assistance to another member. The social network members access the social network from an external networked computing service, such as another social network, to facilitate easy connection to potential members. The social network may be implemented as an application overlay to the external service, or may access connections in the external network.

Abstract: A system and method for providing product research help to a consumer doing internet shopping. A consumer helper application for internet commerce has been designed to integrate the techniques that are currently used by many internet consumers into a single application program. For example, the consumer helper application allows a user to take notes, store web site links, store web site annotations, obtain collaborative input, and perform other tasks commonly used by web site consumers. The consumer helper application stores all of the information gathered in a single place. Information provided by other consumers may be shared using the consumer helper application. The consumer helper application will suggest specific items for a consumer to purchase based up on the information gathered by the consumer into the consumer helper application.

Abstract: A system and method of providing nutritional data for a user is disclosed herein. The method includes receiving a selected restaurant from a personal electronic device, and providing menu data for the user based on the selected restaurant. The method further includes receiving a selected menu item from the personal electronic device, associating the selected menu item with a plurality of food items in a database, and providing the plurality of food items for the user. Furthermore, the method includes receiving a selected one of the plurality of food items from the personal electronic device, and providing nutritional data based on the selected one of the plurality of food items.

Abstract: An unmanned vehicle obtains first location information associated with a customer order, which causes the unmanned vehicle to travel to a first location. While at the first location, the unmanned vehicle receives, from another device, second location information. The unmanned vehicle uses the second location information to travel to a second location where the other device is located. Once at the second location, the unmanned vehicle performs one or more operations involved with fulfillment of the order.

Abstract: A method for emulating a point of sale (POS) at a mobile device includes identifying a POS based on information associated with the POS received from a mobile device. The method includes generating emulation data descriptive of information captured at the POS, and initiating transmission of the emulation data to the mobile device. The emulation data causes the mobile device to emulate the POS at a display device of the mobile device. The information captured at the POS is associated with a consumer transaction. The method includes dynamically generating updated emulation data as the information captured at the POS changes during the consumer transaction, and initiating transmission of the updated emulation data to the mobile device. The updated emulation data causes the emulation of the POS at the display device of the mobile device to be dynamically updated during the consumer transaction.

Abstract: A method for food order processing includes: determining a user's current location; determining a food preparation premise based on the user's current location; displaying dishes associated with the food preparation premise and allowing the user to make a selection from the dishes; allowing the user to place an order based on the selection; determining whether the order is associated with a table ID; and processing payment associated with the order. If the order is determined to be not associated with a table ID, the method further includes matching a table ID with the order. A system for food order processing is also provided.

Abstract: Various embodiments herein each include at least one of systems, methods, software, and data flows for customized order processing. One example embodiment includes receiving data representative of an ordered item and retrieving data representative of components of the ordered item based on the received data representative of the ordered item. This embodiment further includes assembling at least one aggregate dataset of the retrieved data representative of the components, at least one aggregate dataset being a dataset providing a representation of the ordered item when rendered. Each of the at least one aggregate datasets may then be rendered. The rendering may include rendering a label or a wrapper for the ordered item. The rendering may also or alternatively include publishing the rendered data to one or both of a customer loyalty and social media account.

Abstract: Systems for determining a merchant name as used in mobile expense reporting applications. Embodiments commence upon receiving an image of an expense item receipt from a mobile user device. In addition to the image, embodiments receive metadata derived from a travel app running on the user device, which metadata is sent together with an association to the image. Further processing extracts a set of characteristics of text-containing regions of the expense item receipt, and then forms a feature vector comprising the extracted characteristics of the text-containing regions as well as aspects of the metadata received from the user device. The feature vector is input into a predictor to determine at least one predicted merchant name. The metadata can comprise information selected from a mobile app that is operational on the user terminal. Such information can comprise user travel profile information and/or user itinerary information and/or user mileage tracker app information.

Abstract: A method and system for automating the management of an inventory of consumer items at a consumer location uses a programmed device that accepts input data and executes control logic for automating inventory management. At least one shopping list is received, a shopping list trend is established, and a smart list is generated with the control logic, in accordance with the shopping list trend, such that the smart list predictive of a next shopping list.

Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for auditing in-store sales transactions when a digital receipt is issued. A receipt application server formulates a digital receipt from digital receipt data received from a POS system. The digital receipt is sent from the receipt application server to an auditor mobile device at the location of the POS system. A human auditor can view the digital receipt during an in-store audit. In some embodiments, one or both of the receipt application server and the auditor mobile device reorder receipt entries so that items having specified characteristics are presented more prominently on a display. For example, receipt entries can be re-ordered such that higher profit margin items, bulkier items, or more likely to be stolen items are presented more prominently. As such, a human auditor is more likely to expressly audit these types of items.

Abstract: A system is disclosed for managing an offloading service performed by a service vehicle at a disposal site. The system may have an identity detection device configured to generate an identity signal associated with the service vehicle at the disposal site, a scale configured to generate a weight signal indicative of an amount of waste material disposed of by the service vehicle at the disposal site during the offloading service, and at least one processing unit in communication with the identity detection device and the scale. The at least one processing unit may be configured to correlate the weight signal to a customer for which the service vehicle previously performed an onloading service based on the identity signal, and automatically generate an invoice for the customer for the onloading service and for the offloading service.

Abstract: The invention concerns a method of making a payment transaction by a customer including steps of receiving, by a mobile device (402) of the customer, merchant data; transmitting, by the mobile device to a remote server (408), a payment transaction request including the merchant data; determining, by the remote server; the identity of the customer based on the request and the identity of the merchant based on the data; and implementing the payment transaction between bank accounts of the customer and the merchant.

Abstract: An unattended, automated checkout, computer-controlled automated store outlet and system is disclosed. A customer's identification and payment information are inputted and verified and the customer qualified to remove items from the automated store outlet. Each bay of the automated store outlet is normally locked, and after the customer accesses the bay can remove one or more items from the bay, which are automatically detected and identified and charged to the customer as part of the purchase transaction. These events occur at the location of each automated store outlet. Each automated store outlet communicates with a central control center, which can be used for live customer service and real time surveillance.

Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for location detection devices for use in a courier services network. A first user may travel to a location for a particular reason, such as item purchases or appointments. While at the location, the user may be identified at the location by a server offering courier services to a seller and a second user purchasing items from the seller. Based on the first user's reason for traveling to the location and other indicia of trustworthiness or fraud, the server may determine whether the first user can be trusted as a courier. If the user is trusted as a courier, the server may update the first user and the seller to arrange delivery of the item to another location set by the second user. The first user may also be provided with additional items for the second user to deliver to further locations.

Abstract: Mobile POS techniques are presented. A POS interface is configured and distributed to a mobile device over a network connection. The POS interface is a self-contained retail transaction system for a retailer. The mobile device is configured to execute the retail transaction system providing remote network or cloud-based services for data retrieval, and data storage to the retail transaction system on the mobile device. One or more retail transactions are processed on the mobile device via the POS interface.

Abstract: Various embodiments of system and method for catalog image generation include a method. The method comprises, while a first person is using a mobile device to scan an item in a store, capturing one or more first images of the item from the mobile device and selecting one of the one or more first images. In the method can further comprise uploading the one of the one or more first images to an online catalog for the store and providing instructions to display the one of the one or more first images to a second person. Other embodiments of related methods and systems are also provided.
