  • Patent number: 11645711
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described herein for protecting user accounts using machine learning models. A machine learning model may be trained to determine whether account activity indicates a risk to credit scores. Account data, associated with a first financial account, may processed to determine whether the first financial account is associated with at least one underage user. A transaction request, associated with the first financial account, may be received. A history of transactions conducted by the first financial account may be retrieved. The trained machine learning model may be provided, as input, the transaction request and the history of transactions. An indication of risk to a credit score associated with the at least one underage user may be received as output from the trained machine learning model. A limitation may be added to the first financial account based on the indication of risk.

  • Patent number: 11568419
Abstract: An example method includes receiving information related to a transaction with a financial account initiated by a customer at a financial terminal, the financial account including a transaction limit. Based on the information related to the transaction exceeding the transaction limit for the financial account, the method includes identifying a mobile device associated with the financial account and receiving location information of the mobile device via one or both of a passive location response or an active location response. Based on the location information of the mobile device, the method includes determining that the mobile device is located within a predetermined distance from a location of the financial terminal and temporarily changing the transaction limit for the financial account by a variable amount based on whether the location information of the mobile device was received via the one or both of the passive or the active location response.

  • Patent number: 11562435
Abstract: Proposed is a mobile automotive car system, and method thereof, for a dynamic, telematics-based connection search engine and telematics data aggregator, wherein risk-transfer profiles are captured and categorized in a results list from a plurality of first risk-transfer systems based on dynamically generated driving score parameters by means of appropriately triggered automotive data. As a variant, during a predefined trial period, the automotive and driving behavior data can be collected, which are transmitted together with the generated driving score parameters to multiple automated first risk-transfer systems for quotation. The user is able to dynamically select the best-fitting first risk-transfer system for risk-transfer by means of the results list, which is provided and updated in real-time for display to and selection by a user of a mobile telecommunication apparatus by means of a mobile telematics application of the mobile telecommunications apparatus.

  • Patent number: 11501272
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure enable a transaction to be preauthorized. A system receives a request for preauthorization of a transaction including a transaction amount and a cardholder identifier, identifies a cardholder account based on the cardholder identifier, determines a transaction timeframe and a machine identifier, and accesses the cardholder account to determine whether to process the transaction in accordance with a nonvisual communication program. On condition that the transaction is to be processed in accordance with the nonvisual communication program, the system generates an instruction to identify a capture time, determine whether the capture time satisfies the transaction timeframe, and dispense the transaction amount of cash in accordance with the nonvisual communication program on condition that the capture time satisfies the transaction timeframe. Aspects of the disclosure provide for preauthorizing the transaction in a secure and user-friendly manner.

  • Patent number: 11494845
Abstract: A predictive insurance underwriting system. An electronic life insurance policy application processing apparatus accepts data describing a consumer. An underwriting desktop processing apparatus receives the data. An underwriting rules processing apparatus determines, based on the data describing the consumer, whether the consumer is eligible for expedited underwriting of a life insurance policy covering the consumer. If it is determined that the consumer is eligible for expedited underwriting, a tele-interview processing apparatus collects first additional data relating to the consumer during a telephonic interview and, in response to a request from a processing unit, one or more third party databases transmit second additional data relating to the consumer.

  • Patent number: 11087405
Abstract: A method is disclosed for mitigating the risks associated with driving by assigning risk values to road segments and using those risk values to select less risky travel routes. Various approaches to helping users mitigate risk are presented. A computing device is configured to generate a database of risk values. That device may receive accident information, geographic information, vehicle information, and other information from one or more data sources and calculate a risk value for the associated road segment. Subsequently, the computing device may provide the associated risk value to other devices. Furthermore, a personal navigation device may receive travel route information and use that information to retrieve risk values for the road segments in the travel route. An insurance company may use this information to determine whether to adjust a quote or premium of an insurance policy.
