Abstract: Several aspects for resolving a device prompt are described. A processor detects a prompt at a first device connected to a network, wherein the prompt is configured to alert a user proximate to the first device. The prompt may also be configured to solicit one of a plurality of prompt responses from the user. A processor receives a user audio input at a second device connected to the network. A processor determines that the user audio input comprise a first prompt response of the plurality of prompt responses. Once the first prompt response is determined to be included in the user audio input, a processor transmits the first prompt response to the first device. Once received at the first device, a processor executes the first prompt response at the first device to resolve the prompt.

Abstract: An information processing system includes a server apparatus that provides a plurality of applications; and a terminal device coupled to the server apparatus via a network, and sets a plurality of pieces of custom information for customizing display screens of the applications. The server apparatus includes a memory and a processor coupled to the memory and configured to manage application information that includes the plurality of pieces of custom information and reference information, cause the terminal device to display a setting screen on which a given piece of custom information is to be set, in response to a request from the terminal device, display a list of the plurality of pieces of custom information, included in the application information, enabled for selection on the setting screen, and determine an order of displaying the list of the plurality of pieces of custom information based on the reference information.

Abstract: A system and method for modifying the appearance of graphical elements in an application (“app”) to promote cross-brand synergy for a company is described. In one embodiment, the app displays a top-level banner menu that includes a plurality of selectable icons. Each selectable icon serves as a link to a landing page for a specific product group (“brand”) of the company. When the user initially accesses the app, each of the selectable icons appear greyed-out. When a user selects one of the icons in order to navigate to the landing page for the corresponding product group, the app responds by altering the appearance of that icon from a greyscale to a chromatic format. In some cases, the color applied to the icon corresponds to the color associated with the selected brand.

Abstract: Techniques for auto-executing instructions provided in a video on a computing platform are provided. A script is developed from audio provided in the video. Text shown in frames of the video is extracted. Simulated user interaction (UI) events present in the video are identified. A timeline representation is generated to include entries for elements of the script and the extracted text, and identified UI events. Like elements are collected into common entries. Each entry in the script that lacks an associated UI event but is likely to involve a user action prompt is identified. Each entry having an associated identified UI event, and each entry identified as likely to involve a user action prompt, is converted into a corresponding user action command representation. Each user action command representation is mapped to a computing platform executable command, each being performed using processing resources of the computing platform, automatically, without user intervention.

Abstract: Techniques for obfuscating selection of an option during user-input of sensitive information, involving displaying several targets, such as via a virtual keyboard, on a device display, where each target corresponds to one of multiple options. When a first visual indication of a current user target moves to a first target in response to a first user navigation input, an obfuscation system can concurrently or soon thereafter move a second visual indication of a first distractor target to another target. The current user target is thus obfuscated as two different visual indicators move through the targets.

Abstract: An interaction system capable of making a user form an attachment to a particular interaction model is provided. A first interaction model is configured so that a communication function expressed to a user is improved from an initial state through communication with the user. A second interaction model is configured to interact with the user by a communication function better than the initial state of the first interaction model, and to make a speech for the user, the speech being made so as to support the improvement of the communication function of the first interaction model.

Abstract: Systems and methods related to user interfaces for object exploration and manipulation within virtual reality environments may include a plurality of user interfaces that are presented responsive to various user inputs or interactions. For example, a first user interface may comprise a hover card that is presented responsive to a hover indication over an object, a second user interface may comprise a detail card that is presented responsive to a selection input associated with an object, and a third user interface may comprise a detail page having a plurality of detail panels that are presented responsive to a selection of a full details option associated with an object. Further, individual detail cards and detail panels may be graspable, movable, scrollable, and otherwise manipulatable by a user to facilitate object exploration.

Abstract: The embodiments of the disclosure provide an information display method, device and terminal, relating to the field of human-computer interaction technologies. The method includes: acquiring a target file; displaying a navigation bar, the navigation bar comprising an operation control of the target file; receiving a first touch signal triggered on the operation control; and displaying, according to the first touch signal, a program entry of at least one application, the at least one application being configured to process the target file. By adding the display of the operation control of the target file, where the operation control is configured to trigger the program entry of the application for processing the target file, so function entries for processing the obtained files are increased based on the original virtual buttons, and the functions of the navigation bar are enhanced.

A device receives a first message and displays a first notification element in a first area of a user interface. The first notification element includes information about the received first message. While displaying the first notification element, the device receives a second message. In response, the device determines whether the second message is associated with the first message. In accordance with a determination that the second message is not associated with the first message, the device delays displaying a second notification element for the second message until the first notification element has been dismissed.

Abstract: Systems, devices, methods, and instructions are described for generating and using expressive icons with status indicators for a map based graphical user interface (GUI). One embodiment involves accessing location information, map data icon information, and action indicator information associated with an account of a social media platform. A device then causes generation of a combined action icon generated using the icon information and the action indicator and causes display of a map interface with the map data and the combined action icon positioned at a location indicated by the location information.

Abstract: Systems and methods for displaying a group of virtual objects and a scrollbar in a virtual, augmented, or mixed reality environment are disclosed. The group of virtual objects can be scrolled, and a virtual control panel can be displayed indicating objects that are upcoming in the scroll. The scrollbar can provide real-time feedback that can give the user an indication of the point from which the scrolling started, the point at which the scrolling currently has reached, an amount of the group of virtual objects that are displayed to the user relative to the total amount of the group of virtual objects, or a relative position of the currently-viewable virtual objects relative to the entire group of virtual objects.

Abstract: A GUI and processor-based method for managing selectable entities such as files and directories. When the number of selectable entities in the GUI is large (e.g. over 50 entities) or if similar operations must be done repeatedly, the user experience can be drastically improved by generating and operating on sets of selectable entities. Users (such as a human user) start by picking a plurality of entities displayed on the GUI and save them in memory as a named selection set. Users operate the GUI to manipulate any such selection sets via various means (such as intersection, union, inversion/negation, or via user defined programs) until a selection set contains only the entities that the user wishes to operate on. The user then directs the GUI to automatically perform any of memory/storage operations and/or network transmission operations upon any files and directories in the selection set as desired.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing a program and a method for determining whether data utilization is privacy compliant. The program and method includes receiving input, via a graphical user interface, that includes identification of an application feature that utilizes user data collected from a plurality of users of the application; generating, for display in the graphical user interface, a plurality of fields that characterize utilization of user data; receiving, via the graphical user interface, a selection of one or more fields, the selected one or more fields characterize the utilization of the user data by the application feature; determining, based on the selected one or more fields, whether the utilization of the user data is privacy compliant; and generating, for display, an approval status indicating whether the utilization of the user data is privacy compliant.
