Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and a User Equipment (UE) supporting transmission power adjustment. The UE first receives a first signaling, and then transmits a first wireless signal. A first modulation symbol sequence is used to generate the first wireless signal; the first modulation symbol sequence employs a target waveform; a first bit block is used to generate the first modulation symbol sequence; the first signaling is used to determine the target waveform out of X waveforms; a transmitting power of the first wireless signal is a first power; at least one of an upper bound of the first power and the first power is related to the target waveform. The method can adjust the UE transmitting power according to the waveform of the uplink transmission, thus reducing the power loss of the UE or improving the coverage performance of the uplink transmission.

  • Patent number: 10820257
Abstract: Narrowband Internet of Things synchronization signals are described that carry offset information. In one example an evolved NodeB (eNB) to performs operations to transmit synchronization signals for time and frequency synchronization between the eNB and user equipments (UEs) for narrowband Internet of things (NB-Iot). The operations include concatenating a plurality of short ZadoffChu (ZC) sequences each having a different root index, the ZC sequences being ordered to indicate an offset for use by a UE, generating an NB-Iot Primary Synchronization Signal (NB-PSS) using the concatenation of short ZadoffChu (ZC) sequences, and transmitting the resulting NB-PSS by the eNB in a periodic manner to the UE, wherein, the offset is identified by the order of the ZC sequences.

  • Patent number: 10813086
Abstract: A wireless local area network (WLAN) point-to-point communications link between an evolved universal terrestrial radio access network node B (eNB) and a user equipment device (or simply UE) is identified by UE/eNB media access control (MAC) identifiers on a per UE or per data radio bearer (DRB) basis for offloading cellular data from a long term evolution (LTE) link to the WLAN point-to-point communications link. A wireless local area network tunneling protocol (WLTP) includes packet formats and network protocol stack arrangements to support functions facilitated by the WLAN point-to-point communications link, such as, for example, identification of control and data traffic messages, DRB identification for WLTP packets, quality of service (QoS) delay and packet loss measurement, support of bearer splitting, and support of a general framework for offloading cellular traffic at different depths of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) network protocol stack.

  • Patent number: 10798742
Abstract: A pedestrian-located UE monitors selected subframes of a sidelink resource to detect periodic transmissions from other mobile devices to assist it in selecting a free resource for its own sidelink transmissions. The subframe selection is based on a cost metric which takes into account a probability of missing detection of a transmission with periodicity p from another mobile device, an average number of transmissions with periodicity p that are expected from another mobile device within a predefined transmission period of the mobile device, and a number of transmission cycles of the mobile device that need to occur in order to have a single potential collision with each periodic transmission from said at least one other wireless communication. The method provides a trade-off between avoiding future collisions and battery life.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In one example, phase-noise compensation tracking signals (PTRS) may be transmitted using sets of resource blocks (RBs), where a frequency for each PTRS within the sets RBs is different from a frequency corresponding to a direct current (DC) tone. In another example, a time-domain-based PTRS may be used, where a discrete Fourier transform (DFT)-spread-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (DFT-s-OFDM) symbol may include a cyclic prefix and a PTRS inserted in the DFT-s-OFDM symbol. Additionally or alternatively, a guard-interval-based DFT-s-OFDM symbol may include a PTRS that replaces part or all of a guard interval. In some examples, subsets of tones used for PTRS across a system bandwidth may be transmitted using a scrambled modulation symbol, where at least one antenna port may be used for the transmission of PTRS.
