  • Patent number: 11947510
Abstract: A distributed storage system may store data object instances in persistent storage and may store keymap information for those data object instances in a distributed hash table on multiple computing nodes. Each data object instance may include a composite key containing a user key. The keymap information for each data object instance may map the user key to a locator and the locator to the data object instance. A request to store or retrieve keymap information for a data object instance may be routed to a particular computing node based on a consistent hashing scheme in which a hash function is applied to a portion of the composite key of the data object instance. Thus, related entries may be clustered on the same computing nodes. The portion of the key to which the hash function is applied may include a pre-determined number of bits or be identified using a delimiter.

  • Patent number: 11941142
Abstract: Methods for using SQL statements to access an application-server-managed database are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a user sends, either directly or indirectly (i.e., remotely) a SQL statement from an ODBC application or server, respectively, to an application server that preprocesses SQL statements for accessing data from a centralized database. The application server may have a SQL endpoint, and access to the SQL endpoint may be determined by a user's logon credentials, a user's presentation of a SAML token, or a user's presentation of a valid certificate. The application server may then parse the SQL statement and determine the user's authorization to access certain objects in the centralized database based on a SQL handler design-time configuration. A result from the statement may be sent back to the user either directly or indirectly and exposed.

  • Patent number: 11928120
Abstract: Example solutions are disclosed for performing a distributed data query for a connected data set, such as a property graph or a relational database, distributed across a plurality of regions (e.g., different geographic regions) under data flow limitations. For a restrictive limitation, a first region stores a data entity that is subject to a data flow limitation, and a second region stores only a reference to the data entity (e.g., a pseudonymous reference). The query is executed in the first region, and at least a partial representation of the state is injected into the query for execution in the second region. The query locates the reference to the data entity in the second region, and the state of the query from the second region is returned. Query results from the plurality of regions are synthesized into a final result. Further solutions address prohibitive limitations when references are not permitted.
