Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a way to combing websites that can be edited over the Internet using distributed revision control. This also makes it possible to use writable web sites while not being connected to the Internet. In some embodiments, the present invention is applied to wikis. When a wiki reconnects, differences are automatically sent over and changes from other wikis are merged automatically. Wikis may also be synchronized on a periodic or event driven basis. Embodiments of the present invention may also be used for load balancing between wikis, or to share information with users who can only occasionally connect to the Internet.

Abstract: A system and method for collecting and processing data over a communications network. A data mining marshaller module associates each plugin to a particular data source and manages the plugin to periodically retrieve unstructured data from the data source based on a plurality of data items to be monitored on behalf of a plurality of users. The plugins convert unstructured data received from the data sources to structured data and the data marshaller module stores the structured data in a database. This enables the system and method to aggregate and display the structured data in multiple graphical representations according to the user's preference.

The search system includes a search engine configured to search a web content and a marker, in response to an input of a user, a matching unit configured to match the searched web content with the searched marker, and an output unit configured to transmit a document including the searched web content and the searched marker to the user.

Abstract: A system and method for managing media advertising enterprise data including a process for learning enterprise data matching. An EDM (Enterprise Data Management) application module can be configured to include a set of rules at an enterprise level to manage disparate and disconnected records associated with an entity. A number of unmatched and enterprise entities that matches with respect to an active entity can be returned based on a fuzzy logic associated with various matching options stored in an EDM database. A matching process can then be performed to accurately match similar records regardless of manual input, location, and format of the records in a distributed system. Each unmatched record can then be assigned with a parent enterprise entity. Such an optimization mechanism can interactively manage and report records at the enterprise level in a simple and efficient manner.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product includes transmitting over a network a user's request for a history of a currency bill. A serial number, a location, a date and an indication of possession is transmitted, where the serial number is used in a partial matching search, and mistaken alpha characters of the serial number are included in the partial matching search. First results of the partial matching search are received. Further identifying information is transmitted, where the identifying information is used in a matching search of the first results. Second results of the matching search are received. Additional information regarding the currency bill is transmitted for inclusion in the database where the indication of possession at least, in part, determines entries. A notification request of a next finding of the currency bill is transmitted, where registration of the user is verified. The history of the currency bill is received.

Abstract: In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms and methods for saving multiple rows together through an object relational mapping layer to a database. These mechanisms and methods for saving multiple rows together can enable embodiments to detect faults in the save operation(s) and recover. The ability of embodiments to detect faults in the save operation(s) and recover can enable embodiments to provide a robust forgiving published API that saves a set of rows together whenever possible.

Abstract: Architecture that employs machine-based learning to automatically categorize data on a per-user basis. Auto-tagging reduces the burden on infoworkers by creating a machine learning model to learn from user tagging behavior or preferences. Once this information is obtained, a trained model for this specific user is used to assign tags to incoming data, such as emails. The architecture finds particular applicability to compliance and message retention policies that otherwise would mandate extra work for the infoworker. The architecture learns the tagging behavior of a user and uses this learned behavior to automatically tag data based on the user's prior tagging habits. A regression algorithm is employed to process the training data according to an n-dimensional framework for prediction and application of the tag(s) to the incoming messages.

Abstract: A computer-based system includes a backup server, a production server, a recovery agent that executes on the production server, a database on the production server, a backup database on the backup server, and a meta data file on the backup server. The meta data file includes file names, a file directory, and file attributes. The system is configured to copy the metadata file from the backup server to a production server. When the copying of the metadata file from the backup server to the production server is complete, and before or during a time period in which backup data is copied from the backup server to the production server, the system is configured to receive a request from the production server to restore a file from the backup server with a higher priority than other files on the backup server.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for an anonymous personalized recommendation is provided. The method includes receiving select server fingerprints selected from server fingerprints based on predetermined metrics. The server fingerprints correspond to a plurality of public entities and each server fingerprint includes encoded information about a corresponding public entity. The method also includes generating a user fingerprint based on user information associated with a user, the user fingerprint comprising encoded user information. The method further includes comparing the user fingerprint with the select server fingerprints to select a server fingerprint for recommendation, and generating a recommendation of a public entity corresponding to the server fingerprint for recommendation. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.

Abstract: Methods and systems for processing multimedia content captured from a plurality of locations via one or more capturing devices include obtaining multimedia content from one or more capturing devices. The capturing devices identify a type of content being captured and/or location of capture. An interest type for multimedia content is obtained from a consuming user. The multimedia content from the capturing devices are searched based on the interest type of the consuming user. A subset of the multimedia content conforming to the interest type is presented in substantial real-time at the receiving devices of the consuming users. Feedback regarding the presented multimedia content is obtained from consuming users and communicated to the capturing devices in substantial real-time so as to influence future capture of multimedia content.

An index for the objects within the system that match the query is generated. The index is segmented into pages. A set of page state queries is returned to the requester. The page state queries specify criteria for retrieving objects from segments of the index.

Abstract: A system and methods for unit of measurement conversion and search query expansion are described. The search query expansion may include identifying an initial unit of measurement associated with a property and an initial numeric value for the initial unit of measurement within a search query, automatically forming an expanded search query by expanding the search query to include at least one related unit of measurement associated with the property, and sending the expanded search query to a search engine to search a database. Abstract: Sorting inquiry results includes, based on extracted inquiry results matching search conditions of a user, collecting features of the inquiry results. The collected features may be used as features of a respective inquiry result and feature fitting may be conducted based on a support vector machine (SVM) regression model to obtain a feature fitting value of the respective inquiry result. The inquiry results may be sorted based on relevancy values of the inquiry results, and, for inquiry results having a same relevancy level, the inquiry results may be sorted in a top-down manner based on feature fitting values of the inquiry results.

Abstract: A method for restoring deduplicated data may include receiving a request to restore a set of deduplicated data segments to a client system, where each data segment in the set of deduplicated data segments is referred to by one or more deduplication references. The method may also include procuring reference data that indicates, for each data segment in the set of deduplicated data segments, the number of deduplication references that point to the data segment. The method may further include using the reference data to select one or more data segments from the set of deduplicated data segments for client-side caching, caching the one or more data segments in a cache on the client system, and restoring the one or more data segments from the cache on the client system. There are steps which comprises a step that when a slave node which has received an instruction for retrieval does not receive a return massage from a master node within a predetermined time period (Ts1) from the transmission of a request message to the master node, the slave node requests the master node to provide a transaction log up to the latest version with respect to the update of a master database; a step that the master node which has received the request transmits the transaction log to the slave node; and a step that the slave node updates a replica database with reference to the transaction log transferred from the master node.
