  • Patent number: 10520106
Abstract: A normally closed solenoid valve includes a valve sleeve, a pole core fixedly positioned in the sleeve, an axially displaceable armature, a spring, a closing element, a valve seat, and an elastic component. The spring acts between the pole core and the armature in order to push the closing element into the valve seat. The closing element interacts with the armature. A prestressing force of the spring causes a deformation of the elastic component, which is positioned between the armature and the pole core, such that an impact of the armature on the pole core is damped via a regression of the deformation of the elastic component.

  • Patent number: 10428965
Abstract: A flow control device (10) operates on digital instruction from a controller, especially in association with a tire curing press. A valve body (42) has a flow conduit, along which a seat (52) is formed. A valve stem (48) has a valve seal (50) positioned in the flow conduit and an end that extends out of the valve body at a valve bonnet (54). The seal move toward and away from the valve seat. A smart motor (20) in bi-directional communication with the controller sets the position of the seal by rotating an output shaft (22) to a predetermined position. An actuator (7) arranged between the stepper motor and the valve body translates rotation of the outlet shaft into axial movement of the valve stem. A spring (76) in the actuator moves the valve stem to a predetermined default position in the event of loss of power.

  • Patent number: 10415571
Abstract: A cooling system that includes two or more fans that each have a chassis. The chassis includes a first face, a second face, and a sidewall. The fans then can be attached to each other by attaching a sidewall of a first fan chassis to a sidewall of a second fan chassis. An adjustable vane is attached perpendicularly and approximately equidistant between the fans, with an angular control element that is attached to the first fan chassis. The vane can be oriented such that the vane divides the airflow distributed to the fans. The vane then can be adjusted radially by the angular control element, which is attached to the fan chassis. If an impeller of a fan chassis fails the vane can be adjusted radially using an angular control element to distribute more airflow to the failed fan superimposing the non-failed fan chassis.

  • Patent number: 10415721
Abstract: A micro electrical mechanical system (MEMS) valve is provided. The MEMS valve includes first and second bodies, a medium and a thermal element. The first body defines a first channel and a second channel intersecting the first channel. The second body defines a third channel and is movable within the first channel between first and second positions. When the second body is at the first positions, the second and third channels align and permit flow through the second and third channels. When the second body is at the second positions, the second and third channels misalign and inhibit flow through the second channel. The medium is charged into the first channel at opposite sides of the second body. The thermal element is proximate to the first channel and is operable to cause the medium to drive movements of the second body to the first or the second positions.
