  • Patent number: 11185062
Abstract: The present invention relates to an assembly for trolling with multiple fishing lines, and in particular to an assembly allowing the multiple fishing poles to rotate simultaneously. The assembly has a rail having a channel and that can be affixed to the side of a boat. One or more units can be secured to the rail. Each unit has a base that can be secured to the channel, a swivel, a platform and a rod holder. An actuator can be pivotally secured to the rail and to an actuator arm secured to the back end of the platform of the adjacent unit. Extension and retraction of the actuator makes the platform and rod holder swivel relative to the base. Tie rods are used between adjacent units so that each unit swivels in unison with each other. Two parallel tie rods are used when three units are present.

  • Patent number: 11178862
Abstract: A spring-loaded fishing pole holder and method of operation retains a fishing pole in a fishing position by a tension-adjustable, interchangeable spring, and upon mechanical detection of the fish taking the bait, a trigger subassembly triggers the fishing rod to automatically articulate upward to a hooked position using the tension load applied by the spring; whereby the fishing pole may then be removed from the device to manually reel in the fish. A height adjustable stand mounts the device on ground surface. A pole-retention tube receives the handle of the fishing pole. A motion-sensitive line retention bar creates a counter-tension to the tension load on the tube support bar, whereby upon detection of a force exerted on the fishing line, a trigger lever disengages from the fishing line, causing the counter-tension to be removed, and the pole holder to automatically snap back to a release hooked position.

  • Patent number: 11178861
Abstract: A tool for feeding a fishing line through the eyelets of a fishing rod has a loop of filament attached to an elongated guide and twisted across itself at a distal overlap to form a figure-eight with proximal and distal portions wider and narrower, respectively, than the eyelets. The wider portion facilitates insertion of a free end of the line into the loop. The loop is resiliently flexible so that the overlap separates and then recovers as the inserted line is passed transversely through the gap into the narrower portion of the figure-eight. The passed line is then transversely wedged in the narrower portion of the figure-eight. The loop is also resiliently flexible so that, as the guide leads the loop and the line through each eyelet, the wider portion of the loop compresses and then expands, inhibiting inadvertent withdrawal of the tool from an eyelet.

  • Patent number: 11166448
Abstract: An animal trap apparatus having a collection of individual components is mounted onto a rim of a bucket and comprises a plank having a bait receiving end and a mounting end, with a fulcrum feature therebetween. The fulcrum feature may have a non-circular cross section. A bracket with a notch is received by the rim of the bucket while a receiving feature having an occluded open end is configured to receive the fulcrum feature. In use, the plank is configured to pivot about the fulcrum feature in a forward direction when an animal approaches the bait receiving end thereby placing the animal trap apparatus in a tripped condition whereby the bait receiving extends downwardly toward the closed bottom of the bucket and the animal falls into the cavity. The individual components may be formed of a food-grade material.
