    Abstract: A control system and method for a group of interconnected feeders which enables fault location, isolation and service restoration without requiring each switch to have topology knowledge of devices in adjacent feeders. The method defines, for each switch, connectivity and X/Y directional information about its neighboring switches and propagates this information throughout each feeder. A leader device is also determined for each feeder. Information about topology of adjacent feeders is not needed by all devices. Only normally-open tie switches which define a boundary between two adjacent feeders have knowledge of the devices in both feeders. Switches which open during fault isolation automatically find open tie switches in a direction opposite the fault, and request service restoration downstream of the fault by providing power from an adjacent feeder. Leader devices ensure an overload condition is not created before initiating opening and closing operations of switches downstream of the fault.

    Abstract: A cooling system for a plurality of heat-generating components in a chassis of an information handling system includes an array of fans, each fan operable to generate an airflow in a range of airflows, and a control system configured to monitor temperatures for the components and adjust a direction of one or more airflows based on the component temperatures. If a component temperature gets too high for a first fan associated with the component to cool the component, a portion of a second airflow generated by a second fan may be directed to provide additional airflow to the component such that the component is cooled without increasing the fan speed of the first fan. Adjacent fan speeds may also be adjusted to reduce losses due to differences between adjacent airflows.

Base materials, bodies, and structural templates, each of which includes associated physical properties, are utilized to generate a 3-dimensional model. The 3-dimensional model is discretized and tested to determine if the selected combination of base materials and bodies have physical properties that substantially equal the physical properties of the original object. If the physical properties do not equate, the 3-dimensional model is optimized by adjusting the combination of base materials, bodies, and structural templates. When the difference between the measured physical properties of the 3-dimensional model and the identified physical properties of the original object is less than a tolerance value, the method instructs an additive manufacturing system to generate a replica composite object based on the original object.

The irrigation manager may guarantee that the system will provide a return on investment within a predefined period of time. During subsequent use, the wireless controller (200) may use the corresponding IR protocol during subsequent communication with the mini-split HVAC unit (100).

A processor activates the secondary cooling device to absorb and dissipate heat from the electronic device when the flow detection device detects a lack of flow of the cooling fluid in the primary cooling device.
