  • Patent number: 5248849
Abstract: An adapter box having a base structure that has an annular sealing ridge on the cover side and with a cover that has a sealing effect with an annular sealing strip in conjunction with the sealing ridge. The technical problem is complete sealing of the adapter box in the area of the cover and of a connector so that jet-proofing is attained. The sealing strip (54) has a trough-shaped section (35) overlapping the sealing ridge (7), and the sealing ridge (7) has two tongues (32) separated by a gap (33). Each window (11) formed as a cutout in a wall (3) has a contour consisting of straight sections (12) and centric arc sections (13) with the same radius, which together form in each case a one nth partial arc, with n=3, 4 . . . , of the full arc. The collar (18) of the sealing flange has an external contour identical with the contour of the window (11).

  • Patent number: 5247133
Abstract: An enclosure providing an evacuated region about an array of microelectronic vacuum devices including a substrate, a first encapsulation member defining a cavity, a second encapsulation member defining a cavity and mating with the first encapsulation member so as to define an encapsulated region, a ledge formed in the first encapsulation member for supporting the substrate and defining a communicating passage between the cavities and a sealing agent disposed between the mating surfaces of the encapsulation members to effect a vacuum seal such that when the encapsulated region is evacuated it will be at the same vacuum levels throughout to eliminate differential pressure induced deformation of the substrate. The evacuated substrate enclosure further provides for assembly without an evacuated environment.

  • Patent number: 5212346
Abstract: An electrical junction box is generally cylindrical, and has terminals on the peripheral surface. The box is divided into a plurality of layers, each layer being one polarity, so polarized wires can be easily plugged into the appropriate terminals. A cover may be used over the box if desired, the cover being fixable to the box. Also, the cables to be connected in the box may be fixed with respect to the box. Each terminal has a release slot adjacent to it so wires can be removed as desired. Each layer has a connector that electrically connects all terminals in that layer.
