Abstract: A turnable window arrangement has a window sash to be rotated about a horizontal axis through approximately 180.degree. relative to a window frame. The window frame is provided with a separately removable air screening filter secured to the frame in a position inside the swinging path of said sash. A link arm mechanism is arranged to lock the sash in different positions between completely closed and opened venting positions.

Abstract: Apparatus for mounting component magazines on a component insertion machine ncludes a pair of pins extending from one surface of each of the magazines and a pair of corresponding openings in a plate mounted on the machine, the openings being adapted to accommodate the pins. A lever slidably mounted on the plate has openings adapted to engage recessed cylindrical surfaces forming the bottom of annular grooves in the pins thereby locking the magazine in place.

Abstract: A foldable cooling/baking rack has first and second end frames, each of which includes a pair of laterally spaced posts. The rack also has a plurality of generally rectangular shelving elements which are generally horizontally disposed and which are connected to the end frames. The shelving elements and end frames are movable between an upright, operable position and a folded, inoperable position. In the upright positions, the shelving elements are disposed generally perpendicularly to the end frames, while in the folded, inoperable position, the shelving elements and end frames are disposed in a generally non-perpendicular relationship. In one embodiment, the shelving elements are detachably connected to the second end frame, and are pivotably, but non-detachably, connected to the first end frame. A number of alternative joints, including T-shaped and L-shaped joints, are suggested for the pivotal connection between the sheliving elements and the first end frame.

Abstract: It is a rack structure for storing balls and related equipment thereof; the rack structure mainly comprises two frame plates, several horizontal rods, two side plates, and several hooks. The two frame plates are same in shape, and have several corresponding rod-inserting holes; each of the frame plates has at least a supporting arm. The rod-inserting holes can provide the horizontal rods with various assemblages. Every two horizontal rods is one set to be set up at a given angle against a wall so as to form a storage space. Each set of the horizontal rods is used for storing one size of balls. The fixed hooks on the frame plate may be used to hanging sports gloves. The two side plates are mounted on the outside of the tops of the frame plates respectively; each of the side plates has several slots with an open end for holding longer equipment each as rackets, baseball bats, and sleds, etc.

Abstract: A universal mounting bracket is provided for one or both ends of the head rail of a venetian blind or other such article, for example, a curtain rod, fireplace screen, drapery rod, or the like. The mounting bracket is operative for securing the aforementioned articles either within or across the opening of a window frame by compression fit without the necessity of nails and screws or other such items which would permanently injure the window casing. The mounting bracket may be easily installed or removed in order to accommodate simple installation of an article, its realignment or removal for repair or replacement and the like.

Abstract: A hard plastic tambour slat commonly used in roll-up doors is made silent when contact is made with neighboring slats by the addition of some soft plastic at one or more of the contact points of the slat with adjacent slats.

Abstract: A shutter for application over a window comprises a plurality of horizontal slats mounted in vertically-spaced relation, a tilting device for simultaneously tilting all the slats about their horizontal axes from horizontal positions to vertical positions, and a raising device for raising the slats from lowered positions to raised positions with respect to the window. The plurality of slats are mounted on shafts received within channels located at opposite sides of the window and guiding the movement of the shafts of the slats when the slats are tilted, raised and lowered.

Abstract: A foldable window covering formed of a single web of flexible material. The web is formed with a plurality of independent loops extending from one side with opposed faces of the loops connected together along a horizontal seam parallel to and spaced from the end of the loop to form a pocket in each loop. The seams of adjacent loops are spaced apart such that the web forms a curtain wall section between adjacent loops which limits the spacing between adjacent loops when the window covering is in the expanded condition, and the loops are adapted to hang down and have a length such that each loop overlaps a subjacant loop when the window covering is in the expanded condition.

Abstract: A roll shutter for roof windows, particularly of the hinged casement-type construction, including a roll shutter draw mechanism having two cords, one end of each of which is attached to the lower end of the roll shutter plating. The ends of the two cords are connected to a common cord which after being guided over stationary diverting elements is guided to a drivable spool. In addition, the roll shutter draw mechanism includes a length compensating device having a diverting element which can slide against the force of an elastic member and over which the two cords are guided in tandem. The length compensating device has at least one additional diverting element which can slide together with the slidable diverting element, and the cords are guided in their path from one slidable diverting element to the next by passing over a stationary diverting element.

Abstract: The strap winder has a base plate (1) with a recessed grip (2) which is arranged laterally alongside the usual spring-tensioned strap drum (11) and through which the pulling strap (3) passes transversely, the pulling strap running from the device to be operated via a strap clamping device to the recessed grip and from the latter via deflection rollers to the strap drum, so that the strap winder can, due to its relatively flat design, be fitted countersunk in a thin-walled lintel surface above a skylight and thus allowing for more convenient operation.

Abstract: A vertical louver assembly of the type designed to movably support a plurality of vertically oriented louvers from a horizontally oriented housing and accompanying track structure and a tilt rod extending along the length of the housing. Each louver is supported by a carrier assembly itself including a carrier frame structured to accomplish collective positioning of the louvers along the length of the housing and also in a rotatable orientation about their own longitudinal axis through operation of the tilt rod as well as other control facilities. Each carrier frame includes a biasing assembly disposed and structured to force gear elements into mating engagement with one another and a clutch assembly disposed and structured to allow for realignment of any louver which has become inadvertently disconnected without damage thereto.

Abstract: A manually and automatically operable curtain is provided with an electric motor, a planetary gearing of which the sun gear is fixed to the output shaft of the motor, a driven gear engageable with the planet gear of the planetary gearing, a cord pulley fixed to the driven gear for drawing the curtain, and an electric control system including a motor-reversing device. The rotation of the motor is transmitted to the cord pulley through the intermediary of the planet gear when the motor turns. Responsive to a signal to stop the motor, the motor-reversing device reverses the motor for a very small time so as to disengage the planet gear from the driven gear. Thus, the curtain is easily operated by hand without receiving the rotational resistance of the motor.

Abstract: An extruded plastic wall track for affixing fabric to a wall includes an elongated base adapted to be secured to a wall which includes a generally flat surface having first and second edges. A first shoulder extends outwardly from the first edge of the base away from the wall and a second shoulder extends outwardly from the second edge of the base away from the wall. The first shoulder includes a first lip and the second shoulder includes a panel hingedly secured thereto having a second lip adapted to lock over the first lip. The second shoulder includes a flange extending outwardly therefrom and essentially parallel to the base and spaced therefrom, the flange being adapted to support a lining material spaced from the wall.

Abstract: A segmented shutter or gate with a plurality of gate segments which have dowels on both sides in the area of the upper edge and in the area of the lower edge of the gate segment. The upper dowels are connected in an articulated manner with transporting chains guided along vertical guide rails and driven by chain wheels which transfer the ends of the upper dowels onto storage rails. The lower dowels ride over control cams horizontally moving the lower portion of the gate segment toward the storage rails to allow the next lowermost gate segment to proceed upwardly with the transporting chain.
