    Abstract: A mobile roll baler including a pickup device at the forward end operable to pick up and move a windrow of crop material to a finger feed drum which then moves the material into contact with a section of an expandable and contractable apron driven in a direction to cooperate with the direction of movement of the finger feed drum to effect unidirectional coiling of the material into a roll which is coiled in the same direction in which a finished roll rotates during discharge from the rear of the machine when the tailgate frame is raised and the roll is still rotating from being formed, thereby minimizing discharge time and preventing uncoiling of the roll when discharged from the baler.

    Abstract: A noisemaker formed of molded plastic material having a central body portion with a projection extending from one end thereof and preferably a pair of paddle portions each having a projection extending from an end thereof, with the paddle portions being disposed on opposite sides of the body portion, with the paddle portions including flexible hinge sections adapted for providing for pivotal movement of the paddle portions relative to the body portion, and a separate handle member having a recess receiving therein the projections on the body and paddle portions to hold such portions in generally adjacent relation, with means for locking the handle member to the body and the paddle portions. The paddle portions are adapted to pivot into and out of impacting relation to the body portion upon shaking of the noisemaker by the handle member, thus creating a hand-produced rhythmic-like noise.

    Abstract: A disposable rupturable shipping and installation strap holding in a retracted position the output member of a linear actuator such as a pre-filled pre-bled hydraulic actuator. The strap has a retaining member fitted over the end of the actuator output member and a pair of symmetrically disposed strips or bands integrally formed with the retaining member and attached at their other end to a portion of the actuator housing. The strips or bands have portions of reduced strength which cause the strap to break and free the actuator output member upon first operation of the actuator. Preferably, the strap is molded of relatively thin flexible plastic.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus is disclosed for mechanically removing loose debris from harvesters such as grape harvesters moving along a row of living plants from which it dislodges grapes along with elongated canes and other debris, all of which are collected and moved rearwardly of the harvester to a debris collecting point. The grapes and some debris are then moved transversely outward from the living plants. At least one vine engaging finger is moved through the collecting point for engaging long pieces of debris, such as canes, and deflecting the canes into snagging engagement with the plants which pull the canes and other debris attached thereto free of the harvester as the harvester moves away from the snagged canes.

The second and third sections are angularly positionable about the first section. The angular position is controlled by a fluid cylinder (100). A cylinder link (106) is pivotally connected with the first section and with the fluid cylinder.

    Abstract: A connector is fabricated from dielectric material, typically ceramic, to enable the isolated assembly of neon connections, the plugging in of neon tubes, and the maintenance of high voltage neon connections (in the order of 30,000 volts). The connector includes a dielectric housing and separate dielectric cover plate with an optional silicon rubber gasket therebetween. In connector assembly, commonly bound, oppositely-polarized high voltage wires enter a common chamber defined between the backside of the housing and the mounting. On the front side of the housing are first and second paired and communicated chamber sets. Each set of chambers includes a connector chamber and a tube receiving chamber. The connector chamber receives an insulated wire of one polarity from the common housing at the connector back and provides an isolated dielectric cavity in which the wire is stripped and electrical conductor connection made.

Each of the print modules contains a supply of a dry erase ink which is located into the print module when the carriage is in proximity to the re-inking station. As the carriage is caused to move in a predetermined direction, each of the print modules is deactuated and the erase roller wipes the display surface to remove any previously-printed information.

The conveyor mechanism comprises a pair of largely self-contained sections which may be latched together and shifted to one end of the header with their upper surfaces driven in a common leftward direction for left delivery and discharge, or shifted to the opposite end of the header and driven with their upper surfaces in a righthand direction for right end delivery of the materials, or they may be unlatched and separated while their upper surfaces are driven in opposite directions centrally toward one another for centered delivery of the materials.
