  • Patent number: 9454298
Abstract: In one general aspect, a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium can be configured to store instructions that when executed cause a processor to perform a process. The process can include receiving an indicator configured to trigger movement of a representation of a first portion of data and a representation of a second portion of data in a direction toward a boundary where the boundary is oriented with respect to a display area. The process can also include modifying a position of the representation of the first portion of data with respect to a position of the representation of second portion of data in response to the indicator.

  • Patent number: 9383910
Abstract: Technologies are described herein for autoscroll regions. A device establishes a trigger line near an edge of a selectable region of content that is adjacent to a non-selectable region of content. The device detects user input within the selectable region and detects movement of the user input that intersects the trigger line. In response to detecting the user input intersecting the trigger line, the device scrolls a scrollable region.

  • Patent number: 9367144
Abstract: In accordance with some implementations of the disclosed subject matter, mechanisms for providing a remote control interface are provided. In some implementations, a method for providing a remote control interface is provided, the method comprising: receiving an image of a user input interface associated with a media playback device; identifying the user input interface from a plurality of user input interfaces based on image recognition; determining a code library associated with the identified user input interface; and transmitting the code library to a mobile device that provided the image of the user input interface, wherein the code library allows a mobile device to control the media playback device.

  • Patent number: 9335910
Abstract: Inadvertent activation of a portable medical device such as an ambulatory infusion pump can be reduced by locking a touchscreen of the device when it is indicated that an uninterrupted operation is to be performed. When a processor receives a device operation input from the touchscreen that indicates an uninterrupted operation is to be performed on the portable device, the touchscreen is automatically locked such that touch input at the touchscreen is not processed by the processor to navigate between or among menu screens or set pump parameters. Following completion of the uninterrupted operation, the touchscreen can be unlocked. In one embodiment, the touchscreen can be unlocked by selection of an unlock icon on the touchscreen.

  • Patent number: 9335886
Abstract: User interaction with multiple domains is facilitated while preventing cross-domain transfer of data from those domains. A compositioning domain facilitates this interaction in a secure manner in which cross-domain transfer of data is prevented. This includes obtaining pixel information from the domains via one or more read-only communication paths, providing a user interface to the user, which includes providing a display buffer including at least some of the pixel information obtained from each domain of the domains for display to the user, and maintaining an in-focus domain state. The in-focus domain state indicates which domain of the domains is currently in-focus. User input from the user based on the user interface is provided by a user input handler directly to the currently in-focus domain indicated by the in-focus domain state absent transfer of the user input to the compositioning domain.

  • Patent number: 9310988
Abstract: A system and machine-implemented method for providing a visual cue of overscrolling displayed content on an electronic device. When the end of a scrollable page or content has been reached, the visual cue corresponds to the user's physical scrolling input. The content in the window is effectively attached to the window so that when the end of the content is reached in one direction, the window containing the content is pulled in the same scrolling direction. The pulling in the scrolling direction occurs in a logarithmically decreasing manner, providing a tactile-like visual effect that the outer frame of the window is resisting the attempt to scroll further in the scrolling direction. The visual resistance effect may include squishing or stretching portions of the window without distorting the content within the window.

  • Patent number: 9294547
Abstract: A mobile device application is described that runs on a mobile device and allows a user to log in to the user's account on a presentation server. The user can download previously stored presentations to the local memory of the mobile device to make an in-person offline presentation from the mobile device. While the user is making the presentation, the mobile device application tracks analytic data pertaining to the slide presentation, such as how long each slide is open and viewed. This analytic data is uploaded to the server when an internet connection is available for integration with other data tracked for the presentation.

  • Patent number: 9285967
Abstract: A computing device having a display portion for displaying information and a user input portion for receiving an input from a user. The device is operable to display a first set of user-selectable function elements in a first format and is responsive to an input from a user corresponding to a user-selected portion of the display portion to display a second set of function elements that include one or more function elements of the first set of user-selectable function elements that are associated with the selected portion of the display portion in a second format different from the first format. The device is operable to allow a function element displayed in the second format to be selected by the user thereby to execute a function associated with the element.
