  • Patent number: 10625117
Abstract: Tracking and monitoring athletic activity offers individuals with additional motivation to continue such behavior. An individual may track his or her athletic activity by completing goals. These goals may be represented by real-world objects such as food items, landmarks, buildings, statues, other physical structures, toys and the like. Each object may correspond to an athletic activity goal and require an amount of athletic activity to complete the goal. For example, a donut goal object may correspond to an athletic activity goal of burning 350 calories. The user may progress from goal object to goal object. Goal objects may increase in difficulty (e.g., amount of athletic activity required) and might only be available for selection upon completing an immediately previous goal object, a number of goal objects, an amount of athletic activity and the like.

  • Patent number: 10630755
Abstract: A problem with Internet access in a number of markets is the issue of data-limited network connections. Selective, on-demand consumption of web page data is provided. A user's browser presents a “light” version of a web page by loading compressed or low-fidelity versions of the web page images in place of the actual, higher-fidelity images. In the event that the user wishes to see the original higher-fidelity version of an image, clicking on the image or an associated icon loads the original-fidelity version of the image, replacing the low-fidelity version. The light version of the web page loads faster than would the original version of the web page, and requires less data to be downloaded when rendering the web page. This enables a user with a data-limited connection to select how he or she wishes to “spend” their data consumption.

  • Patent number: 10629290
Abstract: Systems and methods are used to display data obtained from a qPCR instrument. Each of two or more samples is probed with a first labeling probe and a second labeling probe. A first data set is received from a qPCR instrument at a first cycle number that includes for each sample a first labeling probe intensity, and a second labeling probe intensity. A second data set is received at a second cycle number that includes for each sample a first labeling probe intensity and a second labeling probe intensity. A first plot of first labeling probe intensity as a function of second labeling probe intensity is created using the first data set. A second plot of first labeling probe intensity as a function of second labeling probe intensity is created using the second data set. The first plot and the second plot are displayed in response to user defined input to provide dynamic and real-time analysis of genotyping data.

  • Patent number: 10613738
Abstract: User interface controls are provided for transferring an asset in an intuitive and unambiguous manner. According to one embodiment, the user interface has a “source indicator” that represents the source of asset transfer, and a “target indicator” that represents a potential recipient of an asset transfer. While the source and target indicators are visibly displayed on the display of a computing device, a user transfers the asset from the source represented by the source indicator to the target indicated by the target indicator by performing a dragging operation that drags the source indicator in the direction of the target indicator. The edge of the source indicator that faces the target indicator, and the edge of the target indicator that faces the source indicator, are interlocking. That is, rather than have linear edges, the respective facing edges have non-linear shapes so that, when dragged together, the shapes interlock.

  • Patent number: 10540060
Abstract: A device may be configured to provide a user interface that supports sequential selection of objects displayed on a screen. As configured, the device may display a presentation of multiple objects, and the device may receive a user input that defines a path within the presentation of displayed objects. The device may then determine the sequential order of a selected subset of the displayed objects. Based on this sequential order, the device may select, initiate, and perform an action that is targeted at the selected subset of the objects. In the context of an action game, the user may trace the path through various enemies, and the device may select and perform the action based on the number of enemies, the type of enemies, or the order in which the enemies were selected. Selection and initiation of the action may begin while the user input is still being received.

  • Patent number: 10528232
Abstract: User interface state (UI) information (such as UI control values) are stored and revived when the user navigates and returns to an application. When an instance of a page is created, the page registers with a tombstone list and indicates which page state information on the page is to be stored and revived when a user navigates away from the application. When the user provides an input indicating navigation away from the application, the application accesses the tombstone list and stores the UI page state information. UI page state information is stored in a page state dictionary data structure that corresponds to the current instance of the page. Then, when the user navigates back to the application, the application accesses the page state dictionary and restores the values of the UI page state information so that the user interface display is in the same state as when the user navigated away from the application.
