Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards real time display of event records with an indication of previously provided extraction rules. A plurality of extraction rules may be provided to the system, such as automatically generated and/or user created extraction rules. These extraction rules may include regular expressions. A plurality of event records may be displayed to the user, such that text in a field defined by an extraction rule is emphasized in the display of the event record. The same emphasis may be provided for text in overlapping fields, or the emphasis may be somewhat different for different fields. The user interface may enable a user to select a portion of text of an event record, such as by rolling-over or clicking on an emphasized part of the event record. By selecting the portion of the event record, the interface may display each extraction rule associated with the selected portion.

Abstract: A CAD model comprises an entity comprising an input face comprising a normal direction. Via user input, a translation for the input face in the normal direction is obtained. From the CAD model, a list of faces parallel to the input face is automatically determined. From the list of faces, a snap face comprising a distance along the normal direction to the current position of the input face which is minimal over the list of faces is automatically selected, without acquiring the snap face via user input. Via a visualization means, a snap plane comprising the snap face, and either a coplanar alignment of the input face in the snap plane; or a distance indicator from the input face to the snap plane, are automatically displayed. Via user input, validation of the coplanar alignment or a numerical value for the distance indicator is obtained. The entity is automatically adjusted accordingly.

Abstract: In various examples, a gaze direction of a user's eyes may be tracked and synced with perception data of the vehicle to determine POIs that the user is interested in. In some examples, POIs may be stored as waypoints in a waypoint catalog or store and included as part of a map. As a user is driving in a vehicle down a roadway, a system onboard the vehicle may access the map to determine locations of the vehicle, and may reference the waypoint catalog to determine the POIs that the vehicle passes. Using an advertiser name, contact information, an advertisement image, advertiser website information, links to additional content, etc. relating to each waypoint, a log of the passed POIs may be stored for access by the user.

Abstract: A design engine implements a probabilistic approach to generating designs that exposes automatically-generated design knowledge to the user during operation. The design engine interactively generates successive populations of designs based on a problem definition associated with a design problem and/or a previously-generated population of designs. During the above design process, the design engine generates a design knowledge graphical user interface (GUI) that graphically exposes various types of design knowledge to the user. In particular, the design engine generates a design variable dependency GUI that visualizes various dependencies between designs variables. The design engine also generates a design evolution GUI that animates the evolution of designs across the successive design populations. Additionally, the design engine generates a design exploration GUI that facilitates the user exploring various statistical properties of automatically-generated designs.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program and a method for navigating an avatar based on time zones. A global event is identified that begins at a particular time on a given date; a sequential list of time zones associated with a plurality of geographical locations is retrieved; and a current time at a first time zone of the sequential list of time zones is determined to have reached the particular time on the given date. In response, an avatar is generated for display on a map at a first of the plurality of geographical locations associated with the first time zone and is navigated to a second geographical location when a current time at a second time zone, associated with the second geographical location, reaches the particular time on the given date.

Abstract: Disclosed example power supplies, user interfaces, and methods provide for monitoring, analysis and/or presentation of input power characteristics for a welding-type power supply and/or wire feeder. A welding system includes a power supply to deliver power to a welding torch based on one or more input power characteristics. The input power characteristics may correspond to received input power characteristics values during a welding procedure. The input power characteristics are responsive to the power demanded during the welding operation and may change accordingly. To maintain an accounting of the input power characteristics and their values as they change during the welding operation, control circuitry may receive information regarding the input characteristics, analyze the information, and/or generate presentable indicators for display on one or more graphical interfaces.

Abstract: Users can switch between applications using contextual interface elements. These elements can include icons for applications determined to likely be accessed by the user for a current context. Information is gathered to determine the current context, then information such as patterns of historical usage are utilized to determine and rank the applications by likelihood of use. Different contexts can include different icons, and a given context can include different icons for different points in time or locations. A user can access a contextual interface element by performing a swipe motion, for example. The user can continue the motion to an area associated with an icon of interest, and perform an action such as a tap or release to cause the associated application to be launched. Such an approach enables a user to quickly and easily launch another application independent of the application currently active on the device.

Abstract: The technology disclosed relates to formulating and refining field extraction rules that are used at query time on raw data with a late-binding schema. The field extraction rules identify portions of the raw data, as well as their data types and hierarchical relationships. These extraction rules are executed against very large data sets not organized into relational structures that have not been processed by standard extraction or transformation methods. By using sample events, a focus on primary and secondary example events help formulate either a single extraction rule spanning multiple data formats, or multiple rules directed to distinct formats. Selection tools mark up the example events to indicate positive examples for the extraction rules, and to identify negative examples to avoid mistaken value selection. The extraction rules can be saved for query-time use, and can be incorporated into a data model for sets and subsets of event data.

An indication of the selected applicable topology property for configuring the topology is received. A topology is automatically generating based in part on the selected applicable topology property.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to evaluating the performance characteristics of annotator configurations against text pattern constructs in unstructured text. In a non-limiting embodiment of the invention, unstructured text is received by a processor. A text pattern construct is identified in the unstructured text and a first performance characteristic of an annotator is determined based on the text pattern construct. The text pattern construct is converted to a natural language text and a second performance characteristic of the annotator is determined based on the natural language text. A delta is determined between the first performance characteristic and the second performance characteristic. An alternative annotator configuration is identified for a portion of the unstructured text comprising the text pattern construct.

Abstract: A map database stores data describing a set of connected roadways, each having one or more lanes. A coverage system selects lanes from the map database along which AVs can stop, such as parking lanes. The coverage system generates buffer regions for each of the stopping lanes, where each buffer region includes an area within a given distance of the respective lane. The coverage system combines the buffer regions to generate a coverage area, and provides a display of the coverage area overlayed over a map of roads corresponding to the coverage area.
