Abstract: An image data set is generated for output by an infotainment system of a motor vehicle. Input data sets associated with respective functions of the infotainment system are clustered according to at least one predetermined criterion. The clustered input data sets are evaluated to determine at least one parameter of a circular representation for the image data set, which is generated using the at least one determined parameter.

Abstract: The various implementations described herein include methods, devices, and systems for clarifying media content. In one aspect, a method is performed at a client device that includes a microphone, memory, and one or more processors. The method includes: (1) receiving, via the microphone, audio content of a media content item playing on a second client device in proximity to the client device; (2) receiving, via the microphone, a verbal query from a user of the client device to clarify a portion of the media content item; (3) sending a request to a remote server system; (4) receiving from the remote server system information responsive to the verbal user query for the portion of the media content item; and (5) presenting the information to the user.

Abstract: The technology disclosed relates to formulating and refining field extraction rules that are used at query time on raw data with a late-binding schema. The field extraction rules identify portions of the raw data, as well as their data types and hierarchical relationships. These extraction rules are executed against very large data sets not organized into relational structures that have not been processed by standard extraction or transformation methods. By using sample events, a focus on primary and secondary example events help formulate either a single extraction rule spanning multiple data formats, or multiple rules directed to distinct formats. Selection tools mark up the example events to indicate positive examples for the extraction rules, and to identify negative examples to avoid mistaken value selection. The extraction rules can be saved for query-time use, and can be incorporated into a data model for sets and subsets of event data.

A first set of data on multiple substances in a first position of a body of a user is obtained by scanning the first position with a substance detecting sensor. A body part corresponding to the first position is determined with a camera. Fitness plan is determined according to the first set of data and the body part and then pushed via a display.

Abstract: A system and method for linking management requirements for financial instruments to source documents. The system generates a viewing interface for viewing managed accounts that contain various financial instruments. Source documents for the financial instruments are converted into a digital format, therein producing digitized documents. The digitized documents are stored in a searchable database. The digitized documents are analyzed to locate specific clauses within the digitized documents that create management requirements. The clauses are identified with unique numerical identifiers. The numerical identifiers are used to create hyperlinks for recalling said clauses from the database. The hyperlinks are added to the viewing interface wherein the hyperlinks can be used to recall and review the clauses directly.

Abstract: A vehicle control system includes in-vehicle devices, a comparison unit, and an occupation management unit. The comparison unit calculates a section and time of a road occupied by a first vehicle and unavailable for another vehicle to travel based on the trajectory of the first vehicle generated by the trajectory generation unit. The occupation management unit adds the section and the time calculated by the comparison unit into the occupation information.

Abstract: Users can switch between applications using contextual interface elements. These elements can include icons for applications determined to likely be accessed by the user for a current context. Information is gathered to determine the current context, then information such as patterns of historical usage are utilized to determine and rank the applications by likelihood of use. Different contexts can include different icons, and a given context can include different icons for different points in time or locations. A user can access a contextual interface element by performing a swipe motion, for example. The user can continue the motion to an area associated with an icon of interest, and perform an action such as a tap or release to cause the associated application to be launched. Such an approach enables a user to quickly and easily launch another application independent of the application currently active on the device.

Abstract: A geo-analytical program is integrated into a customer relationship management (CRM) solution. Via the geo-analytical program, users are able to define layer configuration settings for a layer for plotting on a map-based GUI. Layer configuration settings for a respective layer comprise an indication of a data object type serving as a base object type for the respective layer. A method involves receiving from a user user-defined configuration settings for a first layer, electronically receiving, at a geospatial computer system, geospatial data for a plurality of connected devices; electronically receiving, at the geo-analytical program from the geospatial computer system, real-time geospatial data for the plurality of connected devices; and utilizing, by the geo-analytical program, the user-defined layer configuration settings for the first layer to plot the first layer on the map-based GUI based on the received real-time geospatial data for the plurality of connected devices.

An image processing method includes an image analysis step of analyzing an acquired image and extracting an object from the image, a kanji string decision step of deciding a kanji string that includes one or more kanji characters related to the object, a layout decision step of deciding a layout in which the kanji string is composited with the image, and a composition step of generating a composite image by compositing the kanji string with the image based on the layout, in which in the layout decision step, a layout in which the object is set as a foreground of the composite image and the kanji string is set as a background of the composite image is decided.

Abstract: Systems and methods for generating user interface elements associated with a guided workout are disclosed herein. For example, by analyzing location data associated with a user device, along with digital content corresponding to the guided workout, the system may generate user interface elements including graphical representations, segmented timelines, and performance metrics associated with a user's progress and performance while consuming the guided workout content. These interface elements may be displayed to the user during and/or after the workout and may allow for user interaction to view varying levels of detail associated with the interface elements.

Abstract: Systems and methods for performing ultrasound visual protocols to increase the speed and accuracy of examinations. A system can include an ultrasound probe, a storage medium for storing ultrasound visual protocols associated with anatomy to be examined, a storage medium on which a scan map comprising a graphical representation of anatomy being examined for a visual protocol is stored, and a touch-screen image display for displaying on a user interface scan map and visual protocol information, a working ultrasonic image of the anatomy being examined, and selectable thumbnail ultrasound images of the anatomy being examined. The display is responsive to receive, for an object identified in an image, object measurement and location information for a visual protocol, and in response to receiving the such information, to display visual protocol steps, location information of the object on the working image, and measurement information of the object.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for interactive workplace health therapy are disclosed, which include a movement station having a processor, memory, a user interface communicatively coupled to the processor, a communication interface, and at least one sensor. At least one piece of health therapy equipment is provided in a receptacle of the movement station. The sensor of the movement station is arranged to detect a mobile computing device that is in proximity of the movement station, and a user associated with the mobile computing device is identified. Based on the identity of the user, user profile information is retrieved from a user profile database. At least one directive is presented to the identified user via the user interface. The directive instructs the user in the use of the at least one piece of health therapy equipment. Information regarding the user's use of the at least one piece of health therapy equipment is collected and stored in the user profile database.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for providing information to guide a user along a determined route to a destination through a navigable network using a navigation apparatus. The method comprises obtaining, using instructive data, a next manoeuvre to be made by the user and a distance to the next manoeuvre from a current position of the navigation apparatus. The method further comprises determining, using informative data, whether there is at least one event within a predetermined distance of the current position of the navigation apparatus.

Abstract: An activity tracking device for tracking and incentivizing personal goals. One embodiment of the activity tracking device is formed as a fitness smart watch with sliders for tracking water and fruit/vegetable intakes, and with the typical smart watch features, including a pedometer, heart-rate monitor, altimeter, stop watch, vibrating notifications, alerts, etc. Another embodiment of the activity tracking device is formed as a band that would have no automated tracking, however users could choose from different bands for tracking their goals for various activities like drinking enough water, fruit and vegetable intake, daily exercises, meditation breaks during the day and more.

Abstract: A graphical planner allows a user to create or select, and then display, images that represent tasks and events to be completed by the user, as well as corresponding images that represent tasks and events that the user has already completed. The graphical planner allows a user to plan and schedule events and tasks by indicating an event or task in a non-textual (i.e., graphic or symbolic) manner. Completion of the events and tasks by the user can also be signaled or otherwise indicated in a non-textual (e.g., visual, audible) manner.
