Abstract: A reference monitor (RM) operates within a network having controllers that each control a corresponding network part having a forwarding element (FE) for forwarding data within the network. The RM enforces the security policy for a first network part managed by a first controller. The method includes: receiving a first rule request from the first controller, checking the first rule request for policy compliance, authorizing a part of the first rule request that is policy compliant, receiving a second rule request, the second rule request being from a second controller configured to control a second part of the network, the second rule request comprising an outside modification impacting the first network part, which is not managed by the second controller, checking the outside modification part for policy compliance, and based on determining that the outside modification part is policy compliant, authorizing the outside modification part of the second rule request.

The monitoring device receives packets including status, the data indicating activity for one or more clock ticks. The monitoring device can compute statistical measures, rather than the network device. The monitoring device maintains the status data in a buffer. The monitoring device lags actual activity, but has is more likely to capture delayed packets. The network device sends packets as wrappers, each wrapper indicating sets of status information. When the information in a wrapper crosses a clock tick boundary, the monitoring device allocates reported activity among clock ticks, assuming that activity follows a uniform distribution.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for providing cloud-based services securely to on-premises networks or other infrastructure. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to systems and methods for enriching first-party data (e.g., data collected directly by an on-premises server) stored within on-premises networks by enabling the on-premises networks to retrieve and process third-party data stored on cloud-based networks. As a technical benefit, cloud-based services can be performed on the first-party data within the on-premises networks.

Abstract: Apparatuses, techniques, and methods for a security and/or automation system are described. In some cases, methods may include receiving, from a first device at a first location, a request to access data associated with a time period from a second device at a second location, the data comprising at least one of audio data, visual data, or a combination thereof, receiving, from the first device, a category associated with the request, identifying a first set of data associated with the time period, the identified first set of data based at least in part on the request and the category, and automatically transmitting the first set of data to the first device based at least in part on the category.

Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying conversion eligible legacy user profiles for conversion from a legacy production environment to a production operating environment are discussed herein. The system can include an eligibility engine configured to determine the conversion eligible legacy profiles within the legacy operating environment, a conversion coordinator configured to monitor the conversion process and provide information during the conversion process, and a data injection system that creates the production user profiles within the production operating environment while the production operating environment is live. The system can identify the conversion eligible legacy user profiles, replicate the legacy user profiles within a conversion environment, resolve eligibility issues associated with the legacy user profiles, and map information from the legacy user profiles to a production user profile.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include systems and methods managing messages on a user device. A first plurality of message tiles in a first vertical list may be displayed on a visual display of the user device. The first plurality of message tiles in the first vertical list may be associated with a first time period. A motion-based gesture may be detected. The motion-based gesture may include at least one of a tap on a surface of the visual display, a swipe across a surface of the visual display, or an acceleration of the user device. In an embodiment, in response to detecting a first motion-based gesture, a second plurality of message tiles in a second vertical list associated with a second time period may be displayed. In an embodiment, in response to detecting a second motion-based gesture, one or more message management functions may be performed.

The centralized notification service may store notification data received from a plurality of devices and workspaces in a notification database. The notification database may store user account information, associated device and workspace information, associated application information, and notifications received or retrieved from each device and application associated with a user account. The notification service may receive notification data from a plurality of applications based on hooks injected into applications or into a notification manager service.

Abstract: Methods of synchronizing sequence numbers of a number of devices of a network are disclosed. A method may include resetting, at each of a first device and a second device of a network, a sequence number to an initial predetermined count value responsive to a timing event. The method may also include generating, at each of the first device and the second device, a frame for transmission. Further, the method may include incrementing, at each of the first device and the second device, the sequence number, wherein the sequence number is indicative of a number of frames generated at the associated device since the timing event. The method may also include inserting, at each of the first device and the second device, the sequence number into an associated frame. Related networks and devices are also disclosed.

Abstract: Techniques for managing a network system are disclosed. For example, a method comprises: receiving, at a network adapter, an access request from a client, the access request including first header information and first payload information; transmitting the first header information to a load balancing server associated with the network adapter; receiving the updated first header information from the load balancing server, wherein the updated first header information is determined by the load balancing server based on the received first header information and an identifier of the load balancing server, and wherein the updated first header information indicates a destination server to which the access request is to be transmitted; and, generating, based on the updated first header information and the first payload information, an updated access request. Accordingly, the processing capability of load balancing servers and the performance of load balancing servers in a network system may be improved effectively.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a page loading method and an electronic device. The method includes: collecting history browsing behaviors of a user during using a browser, and obtaining visited pages involved in the history browsing behaviors and browsing manners used by the user; training a learning model based on the visited pages and the browsing manners used by the user, such that the learning model learns a correspondence relationship between the visited pages and the browsing manners; in response to receiving a page visiting request, analyzing a target page to be visited based on the trained learning model, so as to determine a target browsing manner from the manner of browsing in a current tab and the manner of browsing in a new tab; and loading the target page according to the target browsing manner.

Abstract: Described herein are systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for generating a network topology for a network based on dependencies between network components. Transactions between network components may be monitored in accordance with at least some embodiments. Dependencies may be identified between network applications and/or network devices based on detected transactions detected between those network components. A network topology may then be generated for a network based on the identified dependencies. In some embodiments, the network topology may be used to determine an impact score for one or more network components within the network. An impact score may be used to make determinations with respect to the network.

Abstract: A physiological monitoring system includes a first handheld computing device, a second handheld computing device, and a biometric sensor device provided on an article of apparel. A method of operating the physiological monitoring system comprises receiving, at the second handheld computing device, user physiological data transmitted from the biometric sensor device, the second handheld computing device configured for wireless communication with the biometric sensor device and the first handheld computing device according to a communications protocol in a device network. The method further comprises operating the second handheld computing device in a first mode wherein the second handheld computing device operates as a slave controlled by the first handheld computing device in the device network. The present disclosure uses URL hyperlinks, badges, watermarks, icons and visual displays that are representative of a given function and that may be identified by reference of unique coding structure. The present disclosure relates to the publishing and display of relevant visual codes or images for viewing by members of the public, (human readable) as well as machines. The present disclosure enables the tracking and measurement of uses of coded representations in public or private channels. Structured hyperlink codes allow brief messages to be sent in shortened form to instruct or deliver messages or processes.

Abstract: Techniques for messaging bot controls based on machine-learning user intent detection are described. In one embodiment, an apparatus may comprise a message queue monitoring component operative to monitor a messaging interaction, the messaging interaction exchanged via a messaging system, the messaging interaction involving at least one client device; an interaction processing component operative to determine a user intent for the messaging interaction; and a bot management component operative to determine a messaging bot options configuration for the client device based on the user intent; and send the messaging bot options configuration to the client device.
