Abstract: A computer-implemented method of prioritizing a predefined set of electronic data sources includes a step of identifying one or more second data sources corresponding to one or more first data sources if it is determined that the first data sources do not have the ability to provide data related to one or more query dimensions of a query statement. The identified one or more second data sources meet the following criteria: (1) one or more source fields of the one or more second data sources are equivalent to the one or more query dimensions not contained in the first data source; and (2) each source dimension field of the one or more second data sources are either: (A) equivalent to a source field of the first source or (B) have values that are capable of being obtained from the query statement. The one or more first data sources are linked with the corresponding one or more second data sources to generate one or more composite data sources.

Abstract: A method for replacing a first sub-hierarchy of a New Technology File System hierarchical filesystem (NTFS HFS) with a second sub-hierarchy is disclosed. The first sub-hierarchy includes a first root directory having at least one special system file, and a first plurality of files. The second sub-hierarchy includes a second root directory located in a second location of the HFS, a second plurality of files and at least one placeholder file corresponding to the at least one special system file. The method includes the steps of configuring the first plurality of files to branch from the first root directory once the first root directory is accessed through the second location, exchanging the first plurality of files with the second plurality of files, and exchanging at least one directory pointer corresponding to the at least one special system file with at least one directory pointer corresponding to the at least one placeholder file.

Each of the products may be classified under a plurality of HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) codes, which may then be assigned to the product. The assigned HTS codes may be entered and stored in a database of a trade compliance system. A plurality of certifications may be requested and obtained from the suppliers of the product. The certifications, which may include a COO certification or a NAFTA certification, for example, may be entered and stored in the database. Each certification may identify and certify one of the multiple supply sources for the product. Each certification may be associated with one of the plurality of HTS codes.

Related local data objects are referenced via global objects or reference containers within a global data model or a global address space of an integration solution. The present disclosure assumes that the integration solution is per default in a consistent state, e.g., an engineered or initially configured global address space is regarded as consistent, and all software components that operate within this space assume that the information they access is valid and likewise consistent. The local applications are the only components that can interact with the global address space and introduce invalidations, they are continuously monitored for changes.

Abstract: A mechanism for automating the process of establishing a resource grid is provided. First, a grid establishment component (GEC) is communicatively coupled to a plurality of nodes, wherein each node provides zero or more resources. Next, the GEC selects which of the nodes to include in a resource grid and establishes the resource grid by configuring each selected node (i.e., grid node) to participate as part of the resource grid. In addition, the GEC establishes one or more grid masters to manage access to the resources provided by the grid nodes. Once the grid nodes are configured, and one or more grid masters are established, the resource grid is ready for regular operation. By automating the grid establishment process, the GEC removes a significant burden from a system administrator, and greatly simplifies and accelerates the process of establishing a resource grid.

Abstract: A system is provided to facilitate tag-based organization of documents. During operation, the system receives an original user query. The system extends the query to include documents with an IN-tag and exclude documents with an OUT-tag. The system then performs a search based on the extended query to indicate a collection of documents which satisfy the extended query. The system further allows a user to add a document to the collection of documents or remove a document from the collection of documents. Next, the system modifies a tagging property of the document.

Abstract: One or more databases may be created through an array of onomastic convolutions performed on lists of names. The creation of one or more databases may result in an array correlating individual onomastic elements and normalized probabilities that the onomastic elements belong to various categorizations. A software program preferably determines all possible onomastic elements within a selected name that may be useful in determining a selected name's categorization. The software program preferably takes the onomastic elements from the selected name and compares the onomastic elements to the one or more databases. The software program preferably executes the one or more algorithms and selects categorizations with the highest probability of matching the onomastic elements. The results of the matching process preferably are displayed to the user in one or more formats depending upon the user's preferences.

Abstract: The similarity between a query set comprising query set tokens and a database set comprising database set tokens is determined by a similarity score. The database sets belong to a data collection set, which contains all database sets from which information may be retrieved. If the similarity score is greater than or equal to a user-defined threshold, the database set has information relevant to the query set. The similarity score is calculated with an inverse document frequency method (IDF) similarity measure independent of term frequency. The document frequency is based at least in part on the number of database sets in the data collection set and the number of database sets which contain at least one query set token. The length of the query set and the length of the database set are normalized.

Abstract: A start date of check-out processing of setting a shared document accessible by a plurality of users via a network into an exclusive state is reserved as a check-out start date based on an instruction of a user. In the exclusive state, the shared document can be updated by the user but cannot be updated by other users. When current date has reached the check-out start date, the shared document is set into the exclusive state for the user. The shared document can be released from the exclusive state in response to an instruction of the user checking-out the shared document. An expected check-in date to release the shared document from the exclusive state after the check-out start date can be reserved. This invention enables reservation for a document operation and prevents any decrease in the operation efficiency of users.
