  • Patent number: 5934631
Abstract: A hanger bar assembly supports an outlet box between spaced apart support elements. The assembly includes a longitudinally expandable elongate support bar having a first elongate open ended channel member, and a second open ended channel member. The first channel member being slidably and telescopically received in the second channel member. A fastening element slidably supported within the first channel member. The channel members having adjacent facing surfaces, one of the surfaces having a gripping element for engaging the other surface. A mounting apparatus for attaching the outlet box to the fastening element. Upon securing the outlet box to the fastening element, the facing surfaces are urged together and the gripping element engages the other facing surface thereby restricting movement between said members. Additionally, an attachment member coupled to each opposed end of the support bar is provided.

  • Patent number: 5927661
Abstract: A bottle suspension apparatus secured to the handle of a baby car seat for suspending a bottle in a suitable position adjacent to the baby's mouth to enable the baby to drink from the bottle without the need for a person to continuously hold the bottle and which maintains the bottle in a tilted position to direct the fluid in the bottle into the nipple and thereby minimize the amount of air taken in by the baby. The bottle suspension apparatus provides sufficient tension to maintain the bottle's nipple in the baby's mouth even if the baby makes slight movements but is sufficiently flexible to allow the baby to remove or displace the nipple from the baby's mouth when the baby is done drinking and/or when the baby is choking or gagging.

  • Patent number: 5927671
Abstract: A panel holder is disclosed for hanging posters and other sheet material and which can be either wall mounted or suspended from a ceiling. The holder includes two longitudinal extruded panels each having a longitudinal C-shaped flange situated along one of the panel edges. One flange is inserted within the other one to form a longitudinal interlocking hinge connection. The panels are movable with respect to each other in a transverse direction about this hinge coupling between an open and a closed position. The flanges are dimensioned in such a way that rotation of the panels with respect to one another in the transverse direction results in one of the flanges being elastically deformed during the first part of the motion, with the resulting stored elastic energy being abruptly released during the second part of the panel motion, thereby giving rise to the holder snapping open or closed.

  • Patent number: 5927755
Abstract: The knee bolster structure to be mounted on an instrument panel 13 comprises a panel 2 and a stay 3 for supporting the panel 2, while the stay 3 is composed of a stay main body 4 and patch 5 so disposed on the stay main body 4 as to cover the stay main body 4. In a vehicle collision, the stay 3 is deformed starting from notches 8 respectively formed in the stay main body 4 but, during the deformation of the stay 3, the leading end side 11 of a top plate 9 provided in the patch 5 is butted against the bottom surface 6 of the stay main body 4, thereby being able to prevent stresses from being concentrated onto the notches 8. Also, since the wall portions 7 of the stay main body 4 are held by the side walls 10 of the patch 5, they are prevented from being opened outwardly. Due to this structure, the drag of the stay 3 or the knee bolster structure can be stabilized, so that shock energy caused in the vehicle collision can be absorbed efficiently.

  • Patent number: 5927681
Abstract: A support bracket or camera tripod mount serves to support a camera tripod by attachment to a center post of the tripod and to allow the tripod with camera attached to be hung from a vertical structure such as a fence. The support bracket includes a crosspiece member which is approximately horizontal in use, first leg portions extending in parallel, perpendicular to the cross-piece member to first elbows. Intermediate leg portions are connected to each of the first elbows which may rotate relative to the first leg portions. Distal leg portions extend in parallel to the first leg portions and are fixed to ends of the intermediate leg portions through second elbows. A set screw fitting is provided in each of the first elbows for locking the intermediate leg and distal leg portions against rotation. A connecting member extends perpendicular from the cross-piece member to a post bracket for attachment to the center post of a camera tripod.

  • Patent number: 5927665
Abstract: The mounting system for mounting the implement to a boom assembly forming part of a construction vehicle, such as an excavator, pedestal boom, and backhoe. A pair of spaced apart side plates include aligned apertures for receiving adapter plugs sized to be received within the apertures and for resisting relative rotation therebetween. Each adapter includes a transverse bore which is sized to receive a first pin member, such that each transverse bore is of an associated pair of adapter plugs defines the pin diameter that will be accepted, as well as partially defining the distance between a first pin member and a second pin member. Each adapter plug defines a flange portion having a surface abuttably engages a side surface of its associated side plate. The flange portions of an associated pair of adapter plugs define thrust surfaces for a boom member coupled to a pin carried by the adapter plugs. The thrust surface may be machinable to adjust the lateral spacing between an associated pair of adapter plugs.
