Abstract: A terminal apparatus including a display screen, a display controller that displays a first display window with a second display window on the display screen in a superposed manner, and an input obtaining unit for obtaining a user's input for moving the first display window on the display screen. The display controller changes, when a user's input for moving the first display window toward an outside of the display screen is obtained during a first display state in which the first display window is displayed in the display screen and the movement satisfies a predetermined criterion, the state of the first display window to a second display state in which the first display window is displayed in a region at an end of the display screen in accordance with a direction of the movement of the first display window.

Abstract: Provided are a system and method for semantic generation and enrichment. In one example, the method includes displaying a plurality of tiles on a user interface, each displayed tile visually representing a data entity obtained from a data file, detecting, via the user interface, a selection of a first displayed tile visually representing a first data entity and a second displayed tile visually representing a second data entity, and in response to detecting the selection via the user interface, generating a new data entity based on the first data entity visually represented by the first displayed tile and the second data entity visually represented by the second tile, and displaying a new tile visually representing the newly generated data entity. Accordingly, an end user can provide semantic creation and enrichment to visually displayed data without the need for an administrator.

Abstract: A system for selecting, through a mobile device provided with accelerometer sensors, items of lists that can be displayed on a visual display of an interactive display system, is provided. The system includes a receiver located at a surface of a user interaction station distinct from the visual display and adapted to wirelessly receive data from the mobile device when in short range communication with the mobile device. The system further comprises a processor adapted to collect acceleration data received through the receiver and generated by the accelerometer sensors in response to movements of the mobile device carried out when the mobile device is in short range communication with the receiver. The processor is further adapted to associate the collected acceleration data with corresponding selection values over a selection scale. The processor is also adapted to control the interactive display system to select items based on the selection values.

Abstract: An electronic device displays a user interface of a first software application that includes one or more draggable objects and one or more control objects; and, detects a contact on a touch-sensitive surface at a first location while a focus selector is displayed over a first draggable object and a movement of the contact across the touch-sensitive surface to a second location that corresponds to a first control object. In accordance with a determination that the contact at the first location satisfies object selection criteria, the device moves the first draggable object to the first control object in accordance with the movement of the contact across the touch-sensitive surface to the first control object. In accordance with a determination that the contact at the second location satisfies first intensity criteria, the device performs a first predetermined operation that corresponds to activation of the first control object.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed which facilitate management and monitoring of page-level usage data. Specifically, a client computing device may retrieve content from a remote system for local display. A local interaction monitoring component may monitor local interaction with the content, and transmit local interaction information to the remote system. In one embodiment, interaction may be monitored with regard to predefined portions of the content. In another embodiment, interaction may be transmitted to the remote server for processing, in order to generate page-level usage data. In still more embodiments, page level-usage data may be processed or formatted in order to facilitate ease of retrieval and display. In yet more embodiments, the remote system may enable clients, such as administrators, to view aggregate page-level usage data why viewing a corresponding content.

Abstract: The present embodiments provide a system for generating design palettes over a network. In one embodiment, the system comprises a database configured to store design product data corresponding to one or more design features of a plurality of design products. A user interface is configured to allow submission of information specifying one or more requested design features. An e-palette server is in operative communication with the database and the user interface. The e-palette server is configured to receive the requested design features and to generate a subset of the design products. Each design product in the subset of the design products shares at least one design feature in common with the requested design features. An e-palette generator is configured to generate a design palette including at least one design product from the subset of design products and to send the design palette to the user interface for display.

Abstract: A vessel display system includes a first screen display unit, a second screen display unit, and a screen transition unit. Abstract: A system and method for textually displaying weather data on an onboard aircraft display comprises receiving weather data from onboard weather radar. A data collector is coupled to the weather radar and collects relevant data, which is then manipulated to place it in a PIREP (pilot report) format. The formatted data is then rendered on the aircraft display and subsequently transmitted to a ground station.

Abstract: Methods and systems may be provided for user association of a computing application with a contact in a contact list. A view of one or more contacts of the user may be transmitted to a user, the view included a first contact. A request may be received from the user to associate an application with the first contact. A revised view may be transmitted to the user responsive to the received request, the revised view including a user-selectable mechanism for invoking the application on the first contact. The user may be redirected to a user interface of the application subsequent to the user selecting the user-selectable mechanism associated with the contact in the revised view, and the redirection may include transmission of information associated with the user and information associated with the first contact.

Abstract: Systems and processes for generating output dialogs for virtual assistants are provided. An output dialog can be generated from multiple output segments that can each include a string of one or more characters or words. The contents of an output segment can be selected from multiple possible outputs based on a predetermined order, conditional logic, or a random selection. The output segments can be concatenated to form the output dialog. In one example, a dialog generation file that defines the possible outputs for each output segment, an ordering of the output segments within the output dialog, and format for the output dialog can be used to generate the output dialog. The dialog generation file can include any number of functional blocks, which can each output an output segment, that can be arranged hierarchically and in a particular order to generate a desired output dialog.

Abstract: In some implementations, an access device may sense movement in six degrees of freedom for interacting with information in a user interface. In some implementations, a security feature may be included for verifying an authorization of a user to use the access device. Additionally, in some implementations, the access device may establish communication with an available computing device for accessing and interacting with information that may include remotely stored information, cloud data, cloud services, and the like.
