  • Patent number: 11023467
Abstract: A graph database for outbreak tracking and management is disclosed. In an example embodiment, an outbreak management system includes a memory device storing instructions that define a graph database for disease outbreak tracking. The instructions specify for a given host that a host node is created and an episode node is connected to the host node via a ‘case’ link. The episode node is associated with episode parameters that are related to a disease classification of the host. In addition, the instructions specify that an outbreak node is connected to the episode node via a ‘part of’ link to indicate that the host has become part of an outbreak of the disease. The outbreak node is connected to a definition node via a ‘defined as’ link. The definition node specifies disease parameters of the disease that is related to the outbreak node.

  • Patent number: 10997562
Abstract: Technologies are described herein for a user interface uniting two primary components, a list view and a reading pane, within a message reading application. Technologies are also described for synchronizing status and parameters between the two primary user interface components. In particular, a user interface for reading messages can represent all components of a conversation with both a list view for presenting a message map, and a reading pane for presenting a content view. The list view can present a list of messages grouped by conversation. The reading pane window can contain smaller windows or frames. Each of the smaller windows or frames can contain a message within a given conversation. Synchronization provided between the list view and a reading pane can allow message selection in one of the user interface components to cause display and selection of the corresponding message in the other user interface component.

  • Patent number: 10955956
Abstract: An electronic device includes a display and an input region separate from the display. The device detects a first portion of a first input on the input region. In response to detecting the first portion of the first input: if the first portion of the first input meets first criteria that do not require a characteristic intensity of the first input to increase above a first intensity threshold in order to be met, the device displays a precursor object of a user interface object that includes one or more selectable options. While displaying the precursor object, a second portion of the first input is detected on the input region, wherein an intensity of the first input increases above the first intensity threshold. In response to detecting the increase in intensity, the device reveals the user interface object by an amount that varies with a current intensity of the first input.

  • Patent number: 10891105
Abstract: Loading content on a screen in a structured manner in accordance with embodiments of the invention can provide a smoother user experience by simulating progress with visual cues. Depending on network bandwidth available to a control device, load times for displaying elements on the graphical user interface of a control device can vary from imperceptible (nearly instantaneous) to a perceived lag where a user may lose patience. Embodiments of the invention utilize gradual staging and progressive loading to reduce the perception of delay and create a more pleasing, less harsh experience for a user no matter longer or shorter load times.

  • Patent number: 10887424
Abstract: The description relates to opportunity events. One example can filter events based upon at least one parameter from a profile of a user. The filtering can produce potential opportunity events for the user. The example can compare the potential opportunity events to the user profile utilizing a similarity threshold such that the potential opportunity events that satisfy the similarity threshold are considered opportunity events. The example can rank the opportunity events by confidence level of matching the user profile. The example can also automatically populate high ranking individual opportunity events onto a calendar of the user. The example can further notify the user about the automatically populating.

  • Patent number: 10886030
Abstract: A mechanism is provided for presenting contextually relevant patient data in relation to other patients in a graphical user interface. Using a medical condition associated with a patient and a current treatment being followed by the patient, a cohort of similar patients with the same medical condition are identified. For each of the patients in the cohort, a set of next treatments are identified for those patients that stopped the current treatment and followed a next treatment. For each next treatment followed by a patent in the cohort of similar patients, a determination is made as to whether the next treatment controlled or failed to control the same medical condition for the patient. Then a presentation is provided indicating the set of next treatments, a number of patients following each next treatment, whether each treatment controlled or failed to control the same medical condition, and a statistical significance.

  • Patent number: 10884584
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and methods for managing large user selections in an application. An invertible collection software module solves the problem of managing a large number of user selections within an application. When not inverted, the invertible collection tracks what a user has selected. When inverted, the invertible collection tracks what a user has not selected thus saving memory. One method may comprise defining a specific context having a set of items available for user selection, representing, by an empty inverted invertible collection, the selection of all items within the specific context, tracking one or more items a user has deselected within the specific context depending upon whether the collection is inverted or not inverted and tracking one or more items a user has deselected.
