Abstract: Methods and apparatus enabling a wireless network to generate data that can be used by a receiver (e.g., UE) to resolve the contributions of individual transmitters, such as to determine its location without resort to external devices such as GPS satellites. In one embodiment, the wireless network comprises a single frequency network (SFN), and a unique base station identifier is embedded within the data, and encoded in a manner which allows the UE to calculate path characteristics (such as path latency, and Direction of Arrival) to triangulate its position. In one variant, the data encoding comprises weighting frames of data from different base stations using an orthogonal matrix. Advantageously, the encoding and embedded identifier are also transparent to legacy UE, thereby allowing for implementation with no infrastructure or UE modifications other than software. Network and user apparatus implementing these methodologies, and methods of doing business, are also disclosed.

Abstract: A nozzle for a viscous liquid dispensing apparatus has a nozzle tip with a generally conical outer surface that tapers toward a dispensing orifice and forms an annular discharge air passage substantially parallel to the conical outer surface. Pressurized fluid is directed over the conical outer surface toward the dispensing orifice and thus, prevents viscous liquid dispensed from the dispensing orifice from being pulled back toward the nozzle tip and accumulating on the conical outer surface of the nozzle tip.
Abstract: A spraying device includes a housing that has a spraying unit and a trigger assembly. The spraying unit is a removable insert within the housing. The spraying unit includes an air chamber that is coupled to a liquid tank. A front end portion of the air chamber has a nozzle. The air chamber receives a liquid tube that opens in the nozzle. The liquid tube receives a needle and the needle and the liquid tube are coaxial with each other. The trigger assembly controls the flow of liquid through the liquid tube by positioning a tapered front end of the needle. The trigger assembly includes a trigger that has a first position and a second position. In the first position, the opening of the liquid tube is closed by the needle. In a second position, the liquid tube is opened to discharge a liquid from an opening of the liquid tube.
Abstract: The filler neck includes a neck tube body having a fuel passage a guide member for guiding the fuel gun and a recirculation passage that connects the fuel tank and the neck tube body through a passage separate from the fuel passage, and that directs fuel vapors inside the fuel tank into the fuel passage. The neck tube body includes a housing chamber a primary connector section and a secondary connector section connected to the housing chamber and defining part of the recirculation passage. The guide member is a member that is housed in the housing chamber and includes a guide section for guiding the fuel gun into the fuel passage and a passage-defining section formed in the guide section, and partly defining the recirculation passage inside the housing chamber.

Abstract: The universal wall mount toilet gasket has a planar configuration and has at least one opening therein for engagement about a drain, the gasket being maintained in position by a base of the toilet engaged thereover.
Abstract: A seat lifting system includes a toilet and a seat and a lid, which are hingedly coupled together by a hinge and secured to the toilet so that each of the seat and lid are positionable in lifted position or lowered position relative to the toilet. A pivot bar is rotatably coupled to the seat and the lid adjacent to the hinge. A lifting arm is coupled to a first end of the pivot bar. The lifting arm extends outwardly from the pivot bar and engages a bottom face of the seat. The lifting arm lifts the seat when the pivot bar is rotated. A lifting assembly is coupled to the pivot bar and is actuated to rotate the pivot bar to lift the seat of the toilet. The lifting assembly is actuated again to rotate the pivot bar to lower the seat of the toilet.

Abstract: A drip irrigation device for distributing a portion of the water flowing in an irrigation pipe to a plant, the device comprising: a housing formed from a relatively soft plastic; and a connector for coupling the housing to the irrigation pipe comprising a bayonet for puncturing the irrigation pipe formed from a relatively hard material over-molded onto a feature of the housing made from the soft plastic.
Abstract: Methods of managing features in a portable electronic device are provided. Use of a portable electronic device by a user is monitored over a period of time. Adaptive settings are established for features and/or profiles in the portable electronic device based on the monitored use of the portable electronic device. Related system and computer program products are also provided.
Abstract: Methods and systems of fire protection of an attic space having a sloped roof above a ceiling deck so as to define a concealed space defining a protection area. The method includes disposing at least one upright sprinkler having a deflector disposed beneath the roof and coupled to either a wet or a dry pipe system and defining a hydraulic demand of the at least one sprinkler as being equivalent to a hydraulic demand for the protection area so as to eliminate any increase in the hydraulic design area for the sloped roof.

Abstract: A cartridge for a handheld electrohydrodynamic (EHD) spraying device and a spraying device incorporating the cartridge. The cartridge is disposable, and can contain therapeutic products. The device includes a wetted lead screw with a compliant seal, where the placement of the seal relative to the screw inhibits leakage during both cartridge use and storage. A frame disposed within the cartridge acts as a load-transferring mechanism for the weight of the cartridge to a handle of the spraying device.

Abstract: A dispenser discharging antibacterial, self-drying disinfectant solution is suspended from an inside wall of a public rest facility stall to transport the solution through a length of tubing to an inlet port at a rear or side surface of a non-porous and non-absorbent toilet seat in filling a hollow therein below an opening in the top surface of the seat in introducing the disinfectant solution to be spread about the top surface in cleansing it of any generally sexually transmitted germs, viruses and bacteria that might be present.
Abstract: The components used in this invention has never been utilized in this special type of arrangement ever before. This new “Noise Reducing Valve for Toilet Systems” does not exist and cannot be found anywhere. Once available to the public it will be very useful and will help many light sleeper to have a better change of getting a good sleep at night, as they will not have to listen to loud toilet noises at night, on whenever they take a sleep.
Abstract: An agricultural sprayer includes a centrifugal pump used for transferring fluid from a nurse tank to fill the sprayer tank. It is sometimes required that the centrifugal pump be primed in order to perform the transfer of fluid and this priming is done by creating a vacuum in a priming line that is connected to a suction line extending between an inlet of the pump and to a discharge line of the nurse tank, with the vacuum being caused by routing a flow of compressed air through a venturi having its throat coupled to the priming line.

Abstract: A nozzle for dispensing a random pattern of liquid adhesive filaments generally comprises an adhesive shim plate positioned between first and second air shim plates. The first air shim plate includes air slots configured to direct pressurized process air along a first angle relative to the adhesive shim plate, and the second air shim plate includes air slots configured to direct pressurized process air along a second angle relative to the adhesive shim plate. The first angle is different than the second angle so that the first and second air shim plates direct the pressurized process air asymmetrically toward adhesive filaments discharging from liquid slots in the adhesive shim plate.
