  • Patent number: 11120480
Abstract: Methods and computing apparatus for real-time online traveler segmentation. A machine learning classifier may be trained using computed feature vectors and associated tags corresponding with records in a training set. A machine learning classifier receives a feature vector comprising values of the plurality of features corresponding with an unidentified user in an online context. The machine learning classifier may determine an estimate of whether the unidentified user is a member or a non-member of a predetermined traveler category.

  • Patent number: 10997628
Abstract: A method and system for directing a browser or browsing application associated with a user to a targeted web site after the user performs at least two activations or “clicks” of his pointing device. The first “click” is typically on a communication provided by the system, serving as an intermediary, and the second “click” is typically on a first data object or web page of the intermediary, before the browser of the user is redirected to a second data object or targeted web page, typically associated with a party unrelated to the party or entity controlling the system.

  • Patent number: 10991014
Abstract: In generating a customized notification on a website, a server receives a request for events from an events database from a browser. Each event includes event parameters for interaction(s) of a user with an instance of the website. The event parameters include a template reference, variable value(s), and a timestamp. The server retrieves an application identifier for the instance of the website from the request, finds events associated with the application identifier, and finds the referenced template. The template includes a message structure with template variables. For each event found, the server parses the event parameters and template variables in the referenced template and replaces the template variables with the variable values in the given event. The server sends an array of event objects to the browser, each including a message with the variable values, a link, and a timestamp.

  • Patent number: 10943184
Abstract: Methods and computing apparatus for retrieving records relating to content placement events and records relating to user interaction events. A set of enriched training feature vectors is computed from raw feature values, and used with interaction event tags to train a machine learning model. Information is received relating to an online content placement slot and information is received relating to a user to whom content within the online content placement slot will be displayed. An enriched estimation feature vector is computed based upon a content item selected for placement within the online content placement slot, the information relating to the user, and the information relating to the online content placement slot. A machine learning model is executed to determine an estimate of likelihood of the user interacting with the selected content item, based upon the enriched estimation feature vector.

  • Patent number: 10796331
Abstract: A decentralized offer management system is described. An appliance may be capable of storing and managing offers related to the appliance without communication with a central server. The appliance may receive and store offer attributes related to offers received from an offer provider computer. When a user utilizes their user device to communicate with the appliance, the appliance may determine offers related to the stored offer attributes that can be provided to the user. In some cases, the offers may be specific to the appliance or specific to the user. The appliance may send an offer to the user device, where the offer may indicate that the user is to perform certain actions to qualify to redeem the offer. The appliance may verify that the user has performed such actions before enabling the offer to be redeemed.

  • Patent number: 10650412
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards employing multiple profiles to track identification of users across multiple domains. Multiple application-domain profiles and multiple web-domain profiles may each include a statistical identifier. A profile enrichment store may be generated from the application-domain profiles and web-domain profiles, where each entry in the profile enrichment store may be based on statistical identifiers. The profile enrichment store may be utilized to determine categories associated with a statistical identifier for a request from a client device. A targeted advertisement may be determined based on the determined category and may be provided to the client device. A client caching identifier may be used in a mobile web domain, in combination with the statistical identifier, to track mobile web users. If a request is associated with a profile that includes an affirmative opt-out flag, categories in the profile enrichment store for a corresponding statistical identifier may be cleaned up.

  • Patent number: 10453070
Abstract: A system, method, apparatus, and processor readable non-transitive storage media are described for matching items in large datasets based on non-invasive fingerprints of users so that collected metric data for advertisements (media) and behavioral data may be reconciled and analyzed. Since user fingerprints may not generate a unique one to one correspondence or mapping under certain constraints, the various embodiments employ a sampling method that optimally matches the output of a random sampling of non-invasive fingerprints. The use of non-invasive fingerprints and specialized sampling enables the various embodiments to provide advanced analytics for advertising content and metric data in targeted behavior advertising campaigns. To compare impressions with user profile data, the various embodiments employ in part the time stamp dimension of user profiles to generate temporally unique persistent non-invasive fingerprints.

  • Patent number: 10382910
Abstract: An electronic certificate system facilitates the secure application of certificates against wireless data transfers with a distributer system by a device user. A certificate enabled device carried by the user stores electronic certificates in memory. When the distributer system detects a certificate enabled device within a proximity radio frequency field, the distributer system queries and obtains applicable certificates for the user from the certificate enabled device carried by the user, applies the certificates to a data transfer, and securely communicates the resulting data transfer metadata back to the certificate enabled device.

  • Patent number: 10255616
Abstract: A social networking system captures performance metrics of an offer by selecting a whisper code to include in an offer when presenting the offer to users of the social networking system. The social networking system receives information for providing its users with an offer for redemption at a merchant establishment. The social networking system also receives a set of rules for selecting a whisper code to go with the offer. The rules may be based on any context for which the advertiser or merchant may want to track performance of the offer. When presenting the offer, the social networking system selects a whisper code using those rules. This tracking using different whisper codes enables the merchant to understand the performance of the offer campaign based on the context in which the social networking system presents the offers to its users.

  • Patent number: 10204351
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards collecting, aggregating and indexing unique and non-unique user data from a plurality of users. The result for a query of this indexed aggregation of user data is provided in a plurality of sub-sets of aggregated user data. Each subset of aggregated user data corresponds to a particular portion of the plurality of users. Also, each of these particular portions of the users is set at least large enough to provide general anonymity for the individual users. User data may be collected by one or more user data suppliers and provided to a user data aggregator. In some embodiments, user data may be collected as unique user data, non-unique user data, or any combination thereof. In some embodiments, user data may be aggregated by zip code, expanded zip code, and/or one or more attributes.
