Abstract: There is provided an information processing device including an activity acquiring unit configured to acquire an activity of a first user in a first scene of content, a scene extracting unit configured to extract a second scene similar to the first scene from the content or another content, and a feedback diverting unit configured to divert a feedback that arises in the first scene in response to the activity of the first user, to the second scene provided to a second user.

Abstract: A mechanism is provided for optimizing web page pre-loading. Source codes of a web page file are analyzed to generate a module dependency graph that describes load dependency relationships between respective modules in the web page file. A load flow graph that indicates load flows of respective modules in the web page file is generated based on the module dependency graph. The load flow graph and the module dependency graph are analyzed to determine pre-load sequences of respective modules in the web page file. A pre-load profile is then generated based on the determined pre-load sequences.

Abstract: A system and method are directed towards providing non-requested content to a mobile terminal based on characteristics of, and tracked usage of the mobile terminal to request content through an online portal service, which provides access to content in multiple subject areas. A mobile user profile is created from the characteristics and patterns of the tracked usage. The tracked usage information includes the time, location, frequency at which the content was requested. Based on the mobile user profile information, content related to previously requested content is provided to the mobile terminal upon a trigger that is related to the requested content. The trigger event may include the mobile terminal returning to a location from which certain content was previously requested. The non-requested content may further be based on a related general user profile that indicates usage of an alternate electronic device to access content through the portal.

Abstract: An apparatus of this invention is directed to an information processing apparatus that proposes an action to reduce an energy consumption amount by users of a system when an acceptance user proposes a place for accepting users. The information processing apparatus includes an acceptance information acquiring unit that acquires a proposal of an acceptance place accepting a plurality of users, a user position collector that collects the current positions of the plurality of users from communication terminals of the plurality of users, and a guidance information notification unit that selects the acceptance place as a place for gathering the plurality of users, and notifies the communication terminal of a user absent in the selected place of guidance information to the selected place.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a method and a device for managing compliance of one or more network devices. The method comprises receiving one or more configuration changes of the one or more network devices. Also, the method comprises identifying each configuration change as one of a compliant configuration change and a non-compliant configuration change by correlating, the one or more configuration changes using a first set of parameters. Further, the method generating an impact value of the one or more configuration changes and generating a recommendation for the one or more network devices based on the impact value.

Abstract: Example implementations relate to determining variable chunk size for transfer of a file. For example, a system for determining variable chunk size for transfer of a file may include an available memory engine to determine an amount of available memory in a receiving server, where the receiving server is to receive a transferred file greater than a threshold size from a sending server, a raw chunk size engine to determine a raw chunk size for transfer of the file based on the available memory of the receiving server and a memory usage ratio for the receiving server, and a variable chunk size engine to determine a variable chunk size for transfer of the file based on the raw chunk size and a memory storage integer limitation of the receiving server. The system may further include a transfer engine to cause a transfer of the file from the sending server to the receiving server using the variable chunk size.

Abstract: A method and database server for synchronizing contents of a local database with contents of a remote database. The method includes writing data transactions to a local transaction log file, assigning bin numbers to the data transactions, and determining if the assigned bin numbers have changed due to receipt of subsequent data transactions and if the bin numbers have changed, inserting the subsequent data transactions into a local sequence log file and assigning the subsequent data transactions a first sequence number. The method includes providing, to a remote replicator service, access to the first sequence number, the remote replicator service having access to a second sequence number, and if the first sequence number does not match the second sequence number, providing to the remote replicator service access to the subsequent data transactions, the remote replication service updating a remote database to include the subsequent data transactions.

Abstract: Network Function Virtualization Infrastructure (NFVI) servers execute Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) to exchange user data under the control of a Management and Orchestration (MANO) system. A Hardware-Trust (HT) server maintains hardware trust in some of the NFVI servers. The HT server exchanges NFVI/VNF execution data with the MANO system to associate executing VNFs with hardware-trusted NFVI servers. A control set of the VNFs receives a request for a hardware-trusted communication and responsively selects a network bearer supported by data VNFs. The HT server determines if the data VNFs are hardware-trusted VNFs, and if so, the HT server indicates to the control VNFs that the hardware-trusted communication may proceed. The control VNFs direct the data VNFs to transfer the hardware-trusted data communication over the selected network bearer.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for transmitting notifications to customers. One example method may include identifying a notification event associated with a customer via a customer management module and retrieving a customer preference record. The method may also include determining a notification device preference for a customer Internet protocol (IP) device included in the customer preference record and determining a current presence status of the customer Internet protocol (IP) device. The method may also include transmitting the notification event to the customer's IP device based on the notification device preference.

Abstract: The exposing of a server function to a browser. From the browser's perspective, the browser submits a request for a web page to a web server, the web page being one of multiple web pages in a web application offered by the web server. The web server responds to the request by, for at least one of the server functions, formulating a corresponding script language function that defines a matching name and parameter set of the server side function. The script language function has a body that, when executed, serializes at least the name and parameter set of the server side function. The web server then provides the web page code and the corresponding script language function to the browser. The browser may then calls the server side function via the script language function.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for managing execution of software operations is provided. The method includes a computer processor determining that a software program executing on a computing device utilizes a server to execute at least one software operation. The method further includes identifying a first server from a plurality of servers that are capable of executing the at least one software operation of the software program based, at least in part, on a responsiveness associated with the first server and responsiveness associated with the plurality of servers. The method further includes executing the at least one software operation of the software program on the identified first server. The method further includes updating the responsiveness of the first server based, at least in part, on one or more responsiveness values attributed to the execution of the at least one software operation of the software program on the first server.

Abstract: An activity stream based interaction model is disclosed. To cause a desired application level action to be performed at a remote system, such as automatically retrieving and displaying a document in a viewer or other portion of a user interface at the remote system, a text-based tag, such as a hash tag, is inserted into an activity stream. The activity stream is sent to the remote system, which is configured to respond to the text-based tag by performing, at least in part automatically, the corresponding application level action.

Abstract: According to one aspect, a method includes an Intercloud Fabric Switch (ICS) included in a public cloud and an ICS cluster obtaining a packet, and determining if the packet is obtained from a site-to-site link that links the ICS to an enterprise datacenter. If the packet is obtained from the site-to-site link, it is determined whether the packet is an unknown unicast packet. If the packet is an unknown unicast packet, the packet is dropped, and if not, the packet is provided to an access link that links the ICS to a virtual machine. If the packet is not obtained from the site-to-site link, it is determined whether the packet is obtained from an inter-ICS link that allows the ICS to communicate with the ICS cluster. If the packet is obtained from the inter-ICS link, the packet is dropped if it is an unknown unicast packet.

Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for operating a cognitive computing system comprises starting a capture agent on a processor, subscribing the capture agent to a second agent, receiving a first message from the second agent, storing the received first message in a memory, receiving a notification of a new subscription from a third agent, and registering the capture agent to subscribe to the new subscription from the third agent.

Abstract: A master TSM is provided. The master TSM intermediates between entities connected to different TSMs by connecting the TSMs via an interface module which is communicable with a plurality of TSMs. Accordingly, interoperability is possible between entities and clients connected to different TSMs and thus a variety of services can be provided. Therefore, conveniences for all of the entities and clients can be guaranteed from the information processing and service providing aspects.

Abstract: A portion of a transaction is received at a distributed transaction system from an initiator region. The distributed transaction system operates under a multi-tier two-phase commit protocol. A local unit of work is established that represents the portion of the transaction received from the initiator region. Processing of the local unit of work is invoked with at least one transaction participant. An indication is received from the initiator region to assume a role of transaction coordinator for the transaction. The initiator region is instructed to commit last relative to the at least one transaction participant of the local unit of work.

Abstract: A browsing process is directed to the generation and management of a browse session at a network computing provider. A client computing device requests a remote browse session instance at a network computing provider. The browse session instance may correspond to requested network content. The network computing provider determines a browse configuration. The browse configuration may identify a communication protocol and various processing actions. The network computing provider retrieves the requested content through an instantiated network browse session instance, and performs a first set of processing actions to generate a processing result. The network computing provider determines whether the requested content is likely to perform high risk operations on the client computing device, and notifies the user or transmits a processed representation of the requested content to the user such that the likelihood of high risk operations being performed on the client computing device is reduced.

Abstract: A data distribution method and a data distribution device are described. The method includes parsing a GTPU message from a user terminal to obtain a Hyper Text Transport Protocol (HTTP) request message for requesting a resource, and determining whether the data request mode of the HTTP request message is an HTTP compression mode; when the determination result is that it is an HTTP compression mode, directly sending the HTTP request message to a server; otherwise, setting the data request mode of the HTTP request message as an HTTP compression mode and then sending the message to the server; setting the data format of an HTTP response message sent by the server as a data format fitting the data request mode of the HTTP request message and sending the response message to the user terminal. In this way, the consumption of backhaul bandwidth and the consumption of air interface bandwidth can be reduced significantly.

Abstract: In a first enterprise joined in a distributed, federated network of second enterprises, a system is provided for managing data flow between enterprises, the system including a data management server in the first enterprise having access to sets of rules for managing data flow to and from the first enterprise, a first data interface in the first enterprise dedicated to data transfer to a paired second dedicated data interface at a neighboring second enterprise in the federation, wherein the first data interface manages data sent to the second interface and/or data incoming from the second interface according to the sets of rules for managing data flow.

Abstract: A communication connecting method between nodes through a network, includes: storing communication connection information acquired through searching for communication entities of other nodes; determining whether communication connection information on a communication entity of a connection target node exists by searching for the stored communication connection information; and configuring communication connection with the communication entity of the connection target node based on the determination result.
