  • Patent number: 9854048
Abstract: A Network Function Virtualization (NFV) Management and Orchestration (MANO) data communication system drives an NFV Infrastructure (NFVI) to support a Network Service (NS). The NFV MANO system exchanges hardware trust data with a hardware-trusted subsystem in the NFVI to maintain hardware trust with the NFVI subsystem. The NFV MANO system exchanges NS data with an operations system and responsively exchanges network data to drive the NFVI to execute a Virtual Network Function (VNF) externally to the hardware-trusted subsystem to support the NS. The NFV MANO system also exchanges trust data for the NS with the operations system and responsively exchanges network data with the hardware-trusted subsystem to drive the subsystem to execute the VNF to support the NS.

  • Patent number: 9819747
Abstract: A network combining wireless and wired elements is described, using a multi-slot modular mesh node to house diverse transceiver elements (e.g. IR, Wi-Fi, Powerline). A radio agnostic tree based mesh network is formed, based on what type of wireless links are formed on the uplink and downlink of the backhaul and what type of radios are used for the Access Points AP. In addition to servicing IP based clients (e.g. Wi-Fi, WiMax, Bluetooth), the modular mesh nodes APs may also serve as receivers/collectors for low cost chirp devices. The method of transport is standard IP based packets yet security is inherent in this chirp-based implementation: only mesh nodes are privy to the routing tables that indicate that packet addresses are not IP. Multiple methods to obfuscate packet flow are presented. An organic approach to providing category/class based form of data type identification is proposed, to support a (dynamic) M2M Social Network Applications in-device discovery, registration and control are presented.

  • Patent number: 9762443
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a method and system for processing network data. During operation, the system obtains, at a remote capture agent, configuration information for the remote capture agent from a configuration server over a network. Next, the system uses the configuration information to configure the generation of event data from network data obtained from network packets at the remote capture agent. The system then uses the configuration information to configure transformation of the event data or the network data into transformed event data at the remote capture agent.

  • Patent number: 9747384
Abstract: A social media and social network system matches and personalizes websites and communication to specific users using profile, location, GPS, mobile device, and ecommerce data. Websites may behave in a personalized manner for each individual user and deliver matched content. A user behavior model enables history and decision processes to be stored for future predictive behavior models, algorithms, advertisements, and analysis. A server may enable mathematical and behavioral modeling of one or more social network users as individuals, groups or in the aggregate to establish one or more personalized states for the social network, website, webpage, or subset webpage. Social network data may match a user with search engine results, products, brand products, vendors, users, and services desired by a user on a social network, website, or ecommerce site. Users receive more targeted information. Personalized marketing and ecommerce by a vendor is enabled and unsolicited e-mail and advertisements are minimized.

  • Patent number: 9716703
Abstract: The embodiments described herein recite a geo-location based community of interest (COI) system and method that add the capability to configure Network Connect Devices (NCD) to identify the location of the source and destination IP addresses. The NCDS may drop any packets that are destined to an IP address outside of its predefined radius. For any sent/received packets, the geo-location position of the remote IP-address on the wide area network (WAN) may be determined. The distance between two points on the earth given their latitudes and longitudes of the devices may be determined. If the distance is greater than the predefined range, the data packets may be denied. If the distance falls within the pre-determined range, the data packets are allowed to reach their destination.

  • Patent number: 9641653
Abstract: A communication system synchronizes subscriptions between a user terminal (UT) and a Subscription Service Host (SSH). The UT conveys, to the SSH, multiple subscription messages associated with a Watcher that each initiates a subscription associated with the Watcher and requests watched entity status information. The UT starts a timer and, in response to an expiration of the timer, conveys a subscription information consolidated status update (SICSU) request to the SSH that requests a consolidated status update of all subscriptions associated with the Watcher. In response, the UT receives an SICSU notification comprising a first one or more SICSU values that indicate a status of multiple subscriptions associated with the Watcher, determines a corresponding second one or more SICSU values based on its own list, compares the first SICSU values to the second SICSU values, and determines whether the UT is out of synchronization with the SSH based on the comparison.

  • Patent number: 9634995
Abstract: Method and system for improving the security of storing digital data in a memory or its delivery as a message over the Internet from a sender to a receiver using one or more hops is disclosed. The message is split at the sender into multiple overlapping or non-overlapping slices according to a slicing scheme, and the slices are encapsulated in packets each destined to a different relay server as an intermediate node according to a delivery scheme. The relay servers relay the received slices to another other relay server or to the receiver. Upon receiving all the packets containing all the slices, the receiver combines the slices reversing the slicing scheme, whereby reconstructing the message sent.
