Abstract: An outlet for connecting spray nozzles, drop tubes or the like to an irrigation pipe comprising a generally cylindrical-shaped member having an inner end, an outer end, an annular shoulder protruding outwardly therefrom between the inner and outer ends, and an internally threaded bore extending therethrough. When the outlet is positioned in an opening formed in an irrigation pipe, the annular shoulder of the outlet is in engagement with the exterior surface of the pipe. A machine is also disclosed for creating a plurality of horizontally spaced-apart bulged areas in the pipe with each of the bulged areas having a flat surface thereon. The machine includes a bulging punch which creates the bulged areas in the pipe. The machine further includes a punch for creating an outlet opening in the flat surface of the bulged area.
Abstract: A power cutter is disclosed whose dust suction-discharge fan is driven to rotate at a high speed to thereby attain sufficient dust suction-discharge performance, and which can be constructed relatively compactly in size as a whole at a reduced cost. The power cutter includes two rotating operative components (30, 50) driven by a prime mover (5) and a centrifugal clutch (10) operatively connected to the output shaft (7) of the prime mover (5) for rotationally driving the two rotating operative components (30, 50). The centrifugal clutch (10) includes a clutch drum (11) composed integrally of a small diameter pulley portion (21) and a large diameter pulley portion (22). Belt-type drive trains (15A, 16A and 17A, 18A) transmit the rotational drive force to the rotating operative components (30, 50), respectively.
Abstract: In a circular saw, a high speed motor has a housing attached to a casing by a mechanical coupling including bolts, circular sleeves, and end washers. A speed reduction gear-box includes first and second gears. The sleeve fits inside a circular channel. When the bolts are tightened, the casing is free to move, to some extent, relative to the housing, so the gear self-align and are much less noisy during use. This structure also enables less precise quality control for the manufacture of the relevant components of the saw.
Abstract: An apparatus for punching transversely throughgoing coaxial holes in spaced walls of a workpiece has a holder supporting the workpiece and an outer tool part formed with a pair of transverse bores and displaceable between an advanced position engaged over the workpiece on the holder and outwardly flanking the walls and a retracted position spaced from the holder. An inner tool part formed with a transversely throughgoing bore is displaceable in the advanced position of the outer tool part between an advanced position engaged between the walls and with its bore coaxial with the bores of the outer tool part and a retracted position with its bore spaced from the workpiece in the holder. The outer tool part is formed with a waste passage aligned with the inner-part bore in the retracted position of the inner part.
