  • Patent number: 10227958
Abstract: A pre-filter assembly for a vehicle arranged with an aspiration duct extending between the pre-filter and a fan of the vehicle. A variable valve element is provided as part of the aspiration duct adjacent the fan, such that the aspiration rate through the duct can be controlled by appropriate variation of the valve element, to control the rate of airflow drawn through the aspiration duct by the fan. This allows for the aspiration rate of the pre-filter to be at least partly independent of the flow rate of the fan, without the need for an additional motor-driven blower unit.

  • Patent number: 10222077
Abstract: A dust removing apparatus is provided. An air blower performs air blowing in a space. A processor determines a first period in which a user is absent in the space. An air sucker collects dust by performing air suction from the space during the first period. A sensor measures an amount of dust collected by performing the air suction in the space during the first period. The processor determines whether or not a usage status of the dust removing apparatus in the space is appropriate based on a comparison between the measured amount of dust collected in the first period and an estimated amount of dust, which is estimated to be collected under a usage condition in which the user is absent in the space, and outputs information indicating whether or not a usage status of the dust removing apparatus is appropriate based on a result of the comparison.

  • Patent number: 10222080
Abstract: An air purifier capable of reducing time required for purification of a room without giving a feeling of discomfort to a human in the room is provided. During operation of an air purifier 1, air drawn from an inlet 3 into a casing 2 is purified by a purification device 7 and the air is blown to the outside from an outlet 4. If a user of the air purifier 1 selects a particular operation mode in which the user designates an air volume, a control device 12 performs air volume maintaining control. In the air volume maintaining control, with a volume of air blown out from the outlet 4 by the air blowing device 5 maintained constant, a speed of the air is varied by an air guiding device 8 based on a status of pollutant detection. Alternatively, the speed of the air is varied by the air guiding device 8 and the volume of the air is varied by the air blowing device 5.

  • Patent number: 10201774
Abstract: A bag house filter bag is suspended vertically from a separable hanger. The filter bag has a closure at the top, which is constructed by a series of tucks and folds. The closure also provides a support loop for engagement with the hanger. The filter bag is constructed mainly of woven fabric formed into a cylinder. The folding and stitching pattern of the fabric at the top end enables the bag to transition from linear at the site of the support loop to cylindrical with an even distribution of stress on the fabric. The hanger includes a cross member and a surrounding tube to reduce specific stress on the fabric. The hanger has a removable joint opening clasp at one end of the cross member to enable rapid insertion and removal of the hanger from within the suspension tube without contact, removal or other disturbance of the filter bag.

  • Patent number: 10184686
Abstract: A system for maintaining a pollutant controlled workspace includes an airtight enclosure with a front access window. A set of impermeable exterior panels and a set of permeable interior panels are slidably mounted within the access window in a spaced apart relationship. Regulated either through a manual control panel or programmable controller, a fan filter unit treats a supply of source air and delivers the filtered air down into a narrow vertical airflow channel located between the exterior and interior panels. Once a suitable amount of pressure accumulates, the treated air penetrates into the workspace as a horizontal laminar flow. Any particulates present in the workspace are drawn rearward by the laminar flow and are trapped behind a multi-apertured back board. The contaminant air is then drawn from a low pressure return located behind the back board and into the fan filter unit for recirculation within the enclosure.
