Abstract: The present teaching relates to identifying content that matches a query. Train data include queries, advertisement, and hyperlinks associated with query sessions. A plurality of subwords for each of the queries in the training data are identified. A query/ads model is then trained by optimizing vectors associated the plurality of subwords for each of the queries, advertisements, and hyperlinks in the training data with respect to an objective function. At least one vector associated with each of the queries is derived based on the plurality of subword vectors in the query/ads model that represent the plurality of subwords of the query.

Abstract: Systems and methods for creating, editing, sharing and distributing high-quality, media-rich web-based communications. The communications are created in a layered fashion that integrates user-selected text, colors, background patterns, images, sound, music, video, or other media. The systems and methods are used to generate, edit, broadcast, and track electronic presentations, brochures, advertisements (such as banner advertisements on highly trafficked media websites), announcements, and interactive web pages, without the need for the user to understand complex programming languages.

Abstract: An information sharing system with a display screen and a network computing system is disclosed. The display screen may be capable of either being manually moved by a person or move automatically under its own power. The apparatus also includes a power system, a communication subsystem, a memory and a computing device. The communication subsystem communicates with the computing device, the network computing system, and the memory. The network computing system has an end-user display screen. The network computing system is configured to receive media and media secondary information, associate the media and media secondary information to a unique identifier, and show the media and the unique identifier on the display screen. The networking computing system is further configured to receive the unique identifier and an end-user account, and then show the media secondary information on the end-user display screen.

The method for generating a machine-learning system for classifying transactions as either fraudulent or genuine based on a plurality of training transactions, each training transaction being associated with labelling information that indicates whether the training transaction is either genuine or fraudulent, comprises clustering the plurality of training transactions into a plurality of clusters based on a similarity measure. The method comprises determining, for each of the plurality of clusters, whether the cluster is homogeneous or heterogeneous. A heterogeneous cluster includes both fraudulent and genuine training transactions.

By way of example, a method may include receiving, from a website server, first identity data representing an identity of a user and data identifying a quest activated by the user, the quest comprising one or more activities to be performed at a physical location, and receiving, from at least one reporting device, second identity data representing the identity of the user at the physical location, and activity tracking data in response to the user performing an activity associated with the quest at the physical location. Abstract: Architecture that enables the detection of a user by a user device and interaction with content of the user device by the user before the user physically contacts the device. The detection capability can utilize one or more sensors of the device to identify the user and the proximity (distance) of the user to the device. Based on the user identity and the proximity, the device operates/functions in a certain way. Moreover, ongoing interaction can be enabled by recognition of a natural user interface (NUI) gestures, alone or in combination with other recognition techniques (e.g., speech recognition). Device activity can include causing the device to operate in predetermined ways such as power modes, application launching and manipulation to cause control of hardware and other software (local and/or remote) and, obtaining and presenting specific types of content (e.g., advertisements, notifications, messages, reminders, news, incoming communications, etc.).

Abstract: Impact-based strength and weakness determination includes receiving a plurality of industry-wide feedback items, the industry-wide feedback items pertaining to a plurality of entities associated with an industry. It further includes, based at least in part on an evaluation of the plurality of industry-wide feedback items, generating an industry-wide reputation scoring model usable to determine an expected reputation score for a typical entity in the industry based at least in part on a combination of one or more reputation score components. Generating the industry-wide reputation scoring model comprises determining (1) a baseline reputation score, and (2) an expected impact of a reputation score component on reputation scoring for the typical entity in the industry.

Abstract: A promotion value model uses deep neural networks to learn to calculate the promotion value of a commercial brand. The model determines and reports the promotion value of a plurality of electronic media files each containing at least one commercial brand indicator. The learned model identifies the electronic media files and determines at least one context for each of the at least one commercial brand indicators. Promotion value is modeled with a deep neural network that maps the context for each of the commercial brand indicators to feature vectors mapped to an input layer of the neural network. Network parameters are learned to indicate relative weighted values between transitions of the layers of the neural network.
