  • Patent number: 12262355
Abstract: There is provided a communication device that determines a wireless resource for a downlink without performing signaling between a base station and a terminal. A communication device includes a communication unit that transmits and receives a wireless signal, and a wireless resource determination unit that determines a wireless resource used for transmission and reception. • Patent number: 12262220
Abstract: An apparatus includes antenna, selector, estimator, imager and creator. The antenna includes antenna elements of N rows by N columns (N is a natural number of 2 or more) arranged in an array and captures an incoming wave. The selector selects an antenna element group including antenna elements of M rows by M columns (M is a natural number less than N) from the antenna elements of N rows by N columns according to a band of the incoming wave. The estimator estimates an incoming direction of the incoming wave from an element signal of each of the antenna elements included in the selected antenna element group. The imager acquires image data by imaging an orientation direction of an aperture of the antenna. The creator creates a visualized image by visually synthesizing the estimated incoming direction with the image data.

  • Patent number: 12244546
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to improving an available bandwidth for a transceiver of an electronic device and to reducing a footprint of an associated integrated circuit of the electronic device. To do so, an isolation circuit is disposed between a transmit circuit and a receive circuit. The isolation circuit has first and second signal paths. A first portion of the signal propagates along the first signal path and a second portion of the signal propagates along the second signal path. A non-reciprocal phase shifter is disposed on the first signal path to shift a phase of the first portion to match a phase of the second portion and improve isolation between the transmit circuit and the receive circuit. The phase-shifted first portion may be combined with the second portion to reduce or substantially eliminate an insertion loss caused by the isolation circuit.

  • Patent number: 12238731
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may have a capability to support a number of temporally overlapping sidelink transmissions. The network may transmit first and second signaling that schedule temporally overlapping first and second sidelink transmissions based on first and second configured grants. The UE may transmit at least one of the first or second sidelink transmissions based on whether the first sidelink transmission and the second sidelink transmission are associated with a same beam or different beams and a frequency relationship between the first and second sidelink transmissions. If the UE is not capable of transmitting the first and second sidelink transmissions concurrently, the UE may transmit the sidelink transmission associated with the higher priority. The first and second sidelink transmissions may be scheduled with overlapping frequency resources.

  • Patent number: 12238786
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may perform a transmission detection procedure on each base station before combining control information. The UE may use demodulation reference signals (DMRS) as a detection mechanism. If the UE detects a DMRS from a base station, the UE may determine that a control resource set associated with the base station is valid for combining. If the UE does not detect DMRS from the base station, the UE may refrain from combining control information from the base station. In another example, base stations that pass a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure may transmit a preamble before transmitting control information. A preamble may carry a preamble sequence associated with a specific control resource set. The UE may identify a preamble sequence and determine that the corresponding control resource set is valid for control information combining.

  • Patent number: 12218741
Abstract: The disclosure herein describes using satellites and ground sinks and/or stations for routing IoT device data packets from IoT devices. A target ground sink in range of the satellite is identified and an expected reception (ER) score for the target ground sink is calculated based on ER parameter data and location data of the satellite. A data packet in a first level of a multi-level data structure of the satellite is sent to the target ground sink and, based on an ER threshold exceeding the ER score, the packet is moved to a second level of the multi-level data structure, whereby the data packet is queued to be sent to another ground sink. The disclosure further includes using cell towers as ground sinks and/or using them for backhauling with other ground sinks. The flexibility of the disclosure enables large ground sink networks to be established, reducing latency of packet routing.
