  • Patent number: 9026064
Abstract: A wireless communication node (10) dynamically estimates passive intermodulation (PIM) interference coupled into the node's receive path from the transmission of a composite signal through the node's transmit path. The node (10) then cancels the estimated PIM interference in the receive path. In some embodiments, the node dynamically estimates the PIM interference as a function of the composite signal that models PIM interference generation and coupling in the node (10) according to one or more coefficients (30). The coefficients (30) may be determined by transmitting a test signal (34) during a test stage, when the node (10) is not scheduled to receive any signal. Later, when the composite signal (18) is transmitted, the node (10) uses the coefficients (10) to dynamically estimate and cancel the resulting PIM interference.

  • Patent number: 9002296
Abstract: A communication terminal and a driving method thereof are provided. The driving method of a communication terminal includes: forming a transmitting path and an absorption path by controlling a time division duplex (TDD) switch in a transmitting mode to isolate the transmitting path and the receiving path from an absorption path, the transmitting path transmitting a transmitting signal in a wireless scheme, and the absorption path diverged from the transmitting path through a circulator of the TDD switch to block a reflecting signal in the transmitting signal reversely transferred to the transmitting path; processing the transmitting signal through the transmitting path. Because a TDD switch has an isolation function, insertion loss in a transmitting path may be suppressed.

  • Patent number: 8996082
Abstract: A radiation passing layer has a top surface and a bottom surface below which a proximity sensor is positioned. A visible light opaque layer covers the bottom surface of the radiation passing layer except for an opening therein that allows radiation from the emitter to pass, and scattered radiation to pass to the detector. A radiation shield is between the emitter and the detector, and extends to the bottom of the radiation passing layer. A cold mirror is between the shield and the bottom surface of the radiation passing layer, covering the opening in the opaque layer. A radiation absorber being a separate piece and a different material than the shield provides a radiation seal between the top surface of the shield and the bottom surface of the cold mirror. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
