  • Patent number: 10640085
Abstract: A method for authorizing the use of a motor vehicle by a portable identification transmitter is provided. According to the method, a first vehicle antenna emits a first signal and a second vehicle antenna emits a second signal. An identification transmitter determines at least one of the spatial components of first and second electromagnetic fields, respectively, of the first and second signals. The identification transmitter transmits a measure or a value for the at least one spatial component of the first electromagnetic field, and a measure or a value for the at least one spatial component of the second electromagnetic field to the motor vehicle. A computer determines an angle between the spatial components of the first and second electromagnetic fields. The motor vehicle transmits an authorization signal for authorizing use of the motor vehicle only if the angle exceeds a predetermined threshold value.

  • Patent number: 10559145
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing behavioral based intention detection. Based on behavioral measurements of a user associated with an access request to a protected resource, systems and methods are provided for generating an access decision indicating whether the user access request is accepted based on a determined potential intention of the user and a motivation score. The systems and methods may receive, from a movement detection sensor, stimulus-based micromovement data representing head micromovement upon the user being presented with a target stimulus associated with the potential intention and determine, based on the stimulus-based micromovement data, a stimulated frequency of the head micromovement pattern associated with the user being presented with the target stimulus. The systems and methods may determine whether the user has the potential intention based at least on a baseline frequency and the stimulated frequency of the head micromovement pattern.

  • Patent number: 10521760
Abstract: A customer may collect a package from an automated collection point (ACP) operated by an entity having a central computer system, even when there is no functional communications link between the ACP and the central computer system. A first collection code is generated at the central computer system by means of an algorithm based on a data item particular to the package, such as a package identification code (package ID). The first collection code is sent to the customer who inputs it at the ACP, where it is validated independently using a corresponding algorithm based on a corresponding data item which is independently available to the ACP, preferably the same package ID which is carried by the package and scanned when the package is delivered.
