Abstract: A method of forming a carrier ring on a metal article having an open end and a sidewall extending therefrom. The method includes contacting an inner surface of the sidewall with an inner roller to form a protrusion and contacting an outer surface of the sidewall with an outer roller to form a first groove positioned below the protrusion. The protrusion forms a gap therein. The method further includes contacting a portion of the outer sidewall with at least one second outer roller to form a second groove below the protrusion. The method further includes contacting a portion of the outer sidewall with at least one third outer roller to flatten the protrusion, such that the gap is substantially reduced or eliminated. The flattened protrusion forms the carrier ring.

Abstract: A lock for a bin including a body and a lid hinged to the body. The lock includes a lever mounted to the lid and a plunger movable by the lever. The plunger is configured to engage a catch mounted to the body when the lid is closed and the lever is in a first position. When the lever is moved to a second position, the plunger is moved to disengage the catch and the lid is allowed to open.

Abstract: A water flotation device and floating audio devices are disclosed herein. In an example, a flotation apparatus for supporting a portable audio device on water includes an inflatable flotation device including at least one compartment configured to securely contain an audio device. The at least one compartment is configured to enable the audio device to be inserted and removed from the at least one compartment. The flotation apparatus also includes at least one air valve configured for inflating and deflating the inflatable flotation device and at least one connection point. The at least one connection point is configured to connect to at least one line that is configured to be connected to at least one anchor. The inflatable flotation device is configured to float on a surface of a body of water and securely contain the audio device in the at least one compartment.

Abstract: A sorting apparatus for separating a receptacle into multiple sections includes a first member and a second member. The first member is slidable relative to the second member via respective overlaid portions, and the first member and the second member are configured to engage the receptacle via respective end portions, to secure the sorting apparatus to the receptacle. The sorting apparatus is operable to secure one or more bags or liners within separate sections of a cavity defined within the receptacle, and is operable to increase and/or decrease the volume of the separate sections of the cavity through additional sliding of the sorting apparatus when secured to the receptacle. The one or more bags are usable for separately collecting different types of waste such as trash, compostable material, and recyclables, allowing a user to partition the receptacle and increase ease of collecting compostable material and/or recyclables in addition to trash.

Abstract: An instrument is described for collecting domestic organic waste comprising: an external container forming a cavity with an inner surface, a lid for hermetically closing the cavity of the container, a device for decreasing the pressure inside the container by extracting air from the cavity, an inner bag located inside the cavity to contain organic waste, a protruding element comprising a portion which is spaced and cantilevered from the inner surface and configured to support the bag inside the container suspending it inside the cavity in order to avoid pressure difference between inside and outside of the bag.

Abstract: A device for compartmentalizing a container, such as a waste bin, into several compartments incudes an attachment which is configured to be attached to an edge of the container, which edge defines an access to a space for holding waste, and a dividing body which is configured, in use, to extend inside the edge of the container in order to divide the access into a first opening of a first compartment and at least one second opening of a second compartment. The dividing body is attachable to the edge of the container by means of the attachment. The dividing body and/or the attachment is at least partly flexible in order to be adjustable between a first, relatively compact, position of the device and at least one further, extended, position of the device.

Abstract: A grill basket including a basket portion having a bottom with sides extending upwardly and outwardly therefrom. A handle is removably engageable with one of a plurality of engagement assemblies that are provided on different sides of the basket portion. The handle is selectively engaged with different engagement assemblies in order to change the orientation in which the grill basket is able to be used. The grill basket further includes one or more removable dividers that are movable between a storage position and a use position. In the storage position the one or more dividers are located proximate one or more sides of the basket portion and an interior compartment of the basket portion is substantially the same size as when the one or more dividers are completely removed from the basket portion. In the use position, the dividers are placed to divide the interior compartment into smaller compartments.

Abstract: A liquid container includes a first storage level configured to store the liquid, a second level of pressurization configured to receive a gas in order to keep the first level under pressure. The first and second levels can be stored flat when empty of carbonated liquid and gas. The container further includes an envelope configured to maintain the first and second levels in a maximum volume, the envelope being configured to be stored flat with a thickness of less than 5 cm.

The closure assembly comprises a lid, a first ring member, a second ring member, a coupling element connected to the lid and one of the first ring member and the second ring member, at least one rupturable first coupling bridge connecting the first ring member and the second ring member to one another; and at least one rupturable second coupling bridge connecting the second ring member and the lid to one another.

Abstract: A container with adjustable storage space is an apparatus that enables the user to easily retrieve all the product stored within the container. The apparatus includes a lid assembly, a tubular shell, an end cap, a raisable platform, and a gearing system. The lid assembly helps seal the tubular shell to protect the stored product within the apparatus to prolong the product life cycle. The tubular shell retains the raisable platform in such a manner that the raisable platform can be moved within the tubular shell. The raisable platform is used to adjust the storage space within the tubular shell to retain different amounts of product. The gearing system facilitates the controlled movement of the raisable platform within the tubular shell to adjust the storage space of the tubular shell. The end cap enables the user to manually engage the gearing system from outside the tubular shell.

Abstract: A type IV conformable pressure vessel has improved mechanical coupling between an outer composite shell and a boss. The pressure vessel comprises an inner polymeric liner having a flare edge fixedly coupled to the boss. The boss has a bore in fluid communication with an interior of the pressure vessel. In addition, the boss has a shank extending between the liner and the outer composite shell. The shank includes a plurality of spikes projecting radially away from the boss. The outer composite shell of resin and fiber surrounds an outer periphery of the liner and an outer periphery of the shank. The spikes are embedded into the outer composite shell to mechanically fasten the outer composite shell to the boss.

Abstract: The present invention provides a locking device for a waste container that keeps the lid of the container closed when the container is knocked over on its side, as may arise from a sudden jerking or jarring motion, such as by impact with the ground, to prevent spillage of its contents. The locking device allows the lid to open automatically when the waste container is tipped over by a dumping operation. The locking device includes a sliding block slidable between a locked position and an open position, and a pendulum weight detachably attached to a magnet, when detached from the magnet, the pendulum weight blocks the sliding block from sliding to the open position. When attached to the magnet, the pendulum weight allows the sliding block to slide to the open position.

Abstract: A transport container for bulk cargo/materials has a rectangular base and four sidewalls. The sidewalls are hingedly connected to the base and movable from an erect condition, providing a box structure for loading of the container, into a folded flat condition for stacking of the container. The base includes hinged floor for discharge of the particulate material contents by lifting the container with forklift engaging formations at an upper end of two oppositely arranged sidewalls. Forklift sleeves on an underside of the floor allow for movement of the loaded container.

Abstract: According to the present disclosure, a lid fastener and receptacle assembly is provided to removably secure the lid of a garbage receptacle assembly. Lid fastener is designed to allow the contents of the receptacle assembly to be secured within the assembly while it is in an upright position and automatically disengage when receptacle assembly is in the dumping position, relocking when receptacle assembly is returned to the upright position.

Abstract: A trash can having an easy-to-assemble lid and a decorative ring, including a trash can body and a lid in a split-type design. The lid is arranged at an opening of the body, and can flip with respect to the body. The lid is configured to cover the opening of the body. The trash can further includes a connecting part at the opening of the body. Abstract: In multiple embodiments, a collapsible container includes a base and a plurality of walls pivotably connected to edges of the base and collapsible onto the base. The plurality of walls include a retractable first wall. The first wall includes a frame having a lower horizontal portion and a pair of upstanding vertical portions extending upward from the lower horizontal portion to define an access opening therebetween. An upper beam is slidably coupled to the vertical portions and movable between a first position away from the lower horizontal portion of the frame and a second position proximate the lower horizontal portion of the frame. In some embodiments, the first wall includes a mid-beam coupled to the upper beam. The mid-beam is spaced away from the upper beam and spaced away from the lower horizontal portion of the frame when the upper beam is in the first position.
