  • Patent number: 11158188
Abstract: An autonomous computing system managed through an internet of things (IoT) protocol is provided. A computing device determines a clustering of autonomous vehicles based on expression sentiment data of each passenger of a respective autonomous vehicle. A computing device determines a node within an IoT network and monitors a plurality of autonomous vehicles traveling though the node. A computing device identifies a time frame in which each respective vehicle in the cluster is predicted to pass through an intersection. A computing device identifies a current traffic pattern of a vehicle that is external to the cluster of autonomous vehicles. The one or more processors adjust the traffic flow to allow the clustering of autonomous vehicles to pass through an intersection at a rate that maintains a threshold level of comfort for each passenger in the determined cluster of autonomous vehicles.

  • Patent number: 11131117
Abstract: An electromagnetic-based sensor system includes a sensor assembly with a biometric identification sensor to determine a unique biometric characteristic of a user using a first non-visible electromagnetic radiation. Specifically, a palm vein sensor may measure a unique pattern of veins in a user's palm using near-field infrared light. A gesture sensor uses a second non-visible electromagnetic radiation, such as infrared or radio frequency to detect movement in a specific gesture pattern. An object detection sensor uses a third non-visible electromagnetic radiation to detect the presence of an object. A mirror overlies the sensor assembly and is reflective to visible light and transmissive to the non-visible electromagnetic radiation. The sensor assembly may be used within a vehicle to authenticate an individual user as an authorized user to unlock the vehicle. One or more settings of the vehicle may be set to predetermined values depending on the identity of the user.

  • Patent number: 11120686
Abstract: A method for determining space allocation and signal timing of an isolated signalized intersection consists of at least one remote server and a processing module that is communicably coupled with the at least one remote server. A plurality of traffic-related data, wherein the plurality of traffic-related data reflects activity at the isolated signalized intersection, is received through the processing module. A space determination process is performed on the plurality of traffic-related data through the processing module. Next, a timing determination process is performed on the plurality of traffic-related data through the processing module in order to minimize the average intersection delay at the isolated signalized intersection. Based upon the results from the space determination process and the timing determination process a cycle length is determined for the isolated signalized intersection.
