The screen information includes a common section that is common among the plurality of pieces of screen information regardless of the type of the external device and a difference section that differs among the plurality of pieces of screen information depending on the type of the external device.
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a management unit and a plurality of image processing modules. Each of the image processing modules performs image processing. The management unit manages a processing status of each of the image processing modules. The number of colors and the number of pixels for each of the colors are set as a processing unit for each of the image processing modules, and each of the image processing modules starts the image processing using the processing unit which is set, on the basis of the processing status of a previous image processing module among the processing statuses managed by the management unit.
Abstract: A device control system has a terminal 3 with an application 31, and a printer 5 that controls a scanner, or other device. The terminal 3 sends a request written in XML generated by the application 31. The printer 5 receives the XML request, and the terminal 3 receives an XML response. If the terminal 3 requested control of the scanner in the XML request, the terminal controls the scanner.
Abstract: Raster image processing computer devices buffer pages of print-ready bitmaps waiting to be printed by a printing engine. A computer device monitors the printing speed of the printing engine and estimates the processing time for the raster image processing computer devices to produce the print-ready bitmaps, based on the complexity of the pages of the print job. The computer device compares the printing speed to the processing time to predict whether the number of pages of the print-ready bitmaps buffered by the raster image processing computer devices will increase or decrease. The computer device places one or more of the raster image processing computer devices in a reduced-power sleep mode when the number of pages of the print-ready bitmaps buffered is between a buffer minimum and a buffer maximum, and is predicted to not decrease.

The apparatus includes an image code display part configured to display an image code into which the connection information is converted, a request reception part configured to receive a job request specifying the IP address of the apparatus and transmitted from the portable terminal having decoded the image code and connected to the network using the network connection information, and a job execution part configured to execute a job based on the job request.
Abstract: An image forming apparatus capable of preventing print setting information of print data transmitted from an external apparatus from being changed into infeasible information. A CPU of the apparatus stores print data transmitted from the external apparatus. The print data includes a content to be printed and print setting information indicating whether the content is to be printed in color or in monochrome. The CPU determines whether or not the content is chromatic. The CPU receives an instruction for changing the print setting information from a user, before starting to print the print data. In a case where the print setting information indicates that the content is to be printed in monochrome, the CPU permits changing the color mode information as for a content determined to be chromatic and restricts changing the color mode information as for a content determined to be not chromatic.
Abstract: An information processing apparatus according to the present invention, starts initialization of a first module which performs conflict resolving processing for resolving a combination of invalid print settings, performs the conflict resolving processing by the first module if a print setting is changed on an application and initialization of the first module is completed, and calls the conflict resolving processing by a second module if an instruction to terminate the application is received and initialization of the first module is not completed.
