  • Patent number: 9357185
Abstract: A video encoder is configured to encode a binary sting indicating a position of a last significant coefficient within a video block. A video decoder is configured to decode the encoded binary string. The string may be coded using context adaptive binary arithmetic coding (CABAC). Binary indices of the binary string may be assigned a context. The context may be determined according to a mapping function. A context may be a assigned to one or more binary indices where each index is associated with a different block size. The last binary index of a 16×16 video block may share a context with the last binary index of a 32×32 video block.

  • Patent number: 9280865
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying defects in a roulette wheel are described. A first trajectory of a roulette ball may be determined after launch of the roulette ball by capturing movement of the roulette ball on the roulette wheel. The roulette wheel has a region where the roulette ball orbits and spins around before the roulette ball falls into a roulette number pocket. The determining step may be repeated to determine additional trajectories, and a plurality of areas that the roulette ball avoided during travel along the trajectories may be identified. A graphical representation of the plurality of avoided areas may be generated to identify regions of the roulette wheel that include defects.

  • Patent number: 9258495
Abstract: The multi-spectral imaging system for real-time measurement of combustion efficiency of an industrial flare is provided. The system includes four spectral bands, one for a hydrocarbon group (fuel), one for carbon dioxide (CO2), product of complete combustion), one for carbon monoxide (CO, product of partially completed combustion), and one for background reference. More spectral bands can be added to measure combustion efficiency of specific compounds or enhance the background reference adjustment. The analysis apparatus includes a machine readable storage medium, which provides instructions that cause the analysis apparatus to perform operations to obtain the combustion efficiency of the flare. The operations includes acquiring at least three spatially and temporally synchronized intensities from an imaging unit capturing images of the flare, and producing the combustion efficiency of the flare from said at least three intensities, and absorption coefficients of materials contained in the flare.

  • Patent number: 9167233
Abstract: A plurality of pixels is arrayed on a display device. On the display device, a lenticular lens is arranged in a state where a periodic direction thereof is inclined with respect to a horizontal direction. The lenticular lens divides video data of N different viewpoints into separate viewpoint directions, presents the divided video data, and creates stereoscopic vision. In the event of assigning respective pieces of pixel data of video data composed of less than N viewpoint images to the plurality of pixels and displaying the pixel data, the drive unit lowers brightness of pixel data of viewpoint images seen to overlap each other.
