Abstract: The present invention discloses a disruptive low capital and operational cost logistics system and method that provides for fast and massive delivery of e-commerce merchandise, including same day delivery, of thousands of items and packages, in extensive geographical areas, such as whole states, countries and continents, reducing the need for building, operating, or using multiple fulfillment warehouses located near the consumers as in traditional e-commerce logistics, creating a revolution in the e-commerce industry worldwide. In a disruptive manner, the systems and methods of the present invention facilitate the logistics for e-commerce delivery processes, and also may allow at the same time reducing the use of massive quantities of cardboard packages that are used for protection and containment for e-commerce orders, being sustainably beneficial for the e-commerce market, the environment, and the consumer.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for cloud-based management of payment devices includes connecting a point of interaction device (POI) to a terminal management engine (TME) through a computer network, downloading operating software for the POI and configuration files for the POI from the TME to the POI, initializing the POI using the operating software, and configuring the POI using the configuration files. An alternative computer-implemented includes connecting to a POI through a computer network, receiving a transaction request from a TMC through the computer network, confirming access to the POI, transmitting a request for consumer information to the POI, receiving requested consumer information from the POI, transmitting the requested consumer information to the TMC, receiving a transaction approval message or a transaction decline message from the TMC, and transmitting the transaction approval message or the transaction decline message to the POI.

Abstract: Examples provide an item storage cart for verifying correct item placement into containers on the item storage cart. A cart manager component outputs planogram data identifying a location of a selected item. Weight data generated by one or more weight sensors associated with the set of item storage containers is analyzed to verify whether a correct item is placed in a given storage container on the cart and/or verify a selected item is placed into a correct storage container. The cart manager component determines if an unselected item is removed from a storage container and/or if an unselected item is added to a storage container. A notification is output if an incorrect item is added to a cart, an incorrect item is removed from the cart, an item is added to the wrong container or removed from the wrong container.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for automated forecasting of cash flow includes: monitoring, while a plurality of first transactions are being processed in a payment network, payable transaction data associated with the plurality of first transactions, the plurality of first transactions initiated with at least one account issued to a merchant; monitoring, while a plurality of second transactions are being processed in a payment network, receivable transaction data associated with the plurality of second transactions, the plurality of second transactions between the merchant and a plurality of users; determining, based on the payable transaction data and the receivable transaction data, a plurality of seasonal variables; and generating a cash flow forecast associated with the merchant, the cash flow forecast generated based on the plurality of seasonal variables. A system and computer program product for automated forecasting of cash flow are also disclosed.

An exhibit presentation unit 102 presents one or more pieces of the acquired exhibit information to the borrower users UB1 to UBm. A borrow receiving unit 103 receives, from the borrower user UB, an application of wanting to borrow the object as a borrow application. A borrowing presentation unit 104 presents, to the lender user UL, that there has been the borrowing application. Accordingly, the problem is addressed.

Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for determining whether a transaction may be finalized with a user that exits a facility. To do so, the inventory management system may first determine whether the inventory management is to resolve any events prior to finalizing the transaction. In some instances, the inventory management system may refrain from finalizing a transaction with a user that exits the facility if the user is associated with a low-confidence result/event, if the user remains a candidate user for an unresolved event, or if a global-blocking event is in place at the time of the user's exit. In some instances, meanwhile, the transaction with a user may be finalized upon the user's exit of the facility if the user is associated with high-confidence events/results, is not associated with any low-confidence events/results, is not a candidate user for an unresolved event, and if no global-blocking event is in place at the time of exit.

Abstract: Authentication method and systems using RFID-enabled payment cards are disclosed herein where a server receives a request corresponding to authorization of a payment associated with a payment card from an electronic terminal. The server identifies an electronic device of a user associated with the payment card. The server then transmits an instruction to the electronic device to cause an RFID reader of the electronic device to determine whether an RFID tag corresponding to the payment card is located within a predetermined proximity to the electronic device. When the payment card is located within the predetermined proximity, the server executes a first authentication protocol. Moreover, when the payment card is not located within the predetermined proximity, the server executes a second authentication protocol, wherein the second authentication protocol is more restrictive than the first authentication protocol.

Abstract: A system and method for accurately sort items for delivery and track the delivery of items in an item distribution network using a purpose built confidence event recorder. Items can then be tracked while out for delivery through the use of confidence data recorded by a confidence event recorder carried by an item carrier. Confidence data can be used to accurately record when and where item carriers deliver items and can be used for generating and transmitting an expected delivery window.

Abstract: Systems and methods for printing and verifying product codes using ultraviolet (UV) fluorescing ink include, in at least one aspect, a system including: a UV light source configured and arranged to illuminate, with UV light, product codes printed on products; a camera configured and arranged to capture visible light emitted by a single ink of the product codes responsive to the illumination with the UV light, where the single ink includes a combination of a non-fluorescing substance and a UV fluorescing substance; and a controller coupled with the camera and configured to perform machine vision processing on the captured visible light to identify and confirm the product codes printed on the products.

Abstract: Technology for optimizing automated inventory management is described. In an example implementation, a method, implemented using one or more computing devices, may generate unit identifier sets based on affinities between items uniquely identified by the unit identifiers, determine first and second contribution values for each of the unit identifier sets, and calculate a difference between the first and the second contribution values for each of the unit identifier sets. The method may further calculate an incremental carton and expense prevention opportunity (ICEPO) value for the unit identifier sets, calculate an adjusted fulfillment center stocking score using the ICEPO value and the difference between the first and the second contribution values for each of the unit identifier sets, select a subset of the unit identifier sets based on the adjusted fulfillment center stocking score, and output the subset to an inventory replenishment system that manages stocking of items.
