Abstract: A control system for a hydraulic automatic transmission includes a fault detection module and a transmission diagnostic module. The fault detection module detects faults of components of the transmission, wherein the faults may indicate low hydraulic fluid pressure in the transmission or failure of one or more of the components. The transmission diagnostic module determines whether the faults are due to low hydraulic pressure based on the detected faults, a predetermined number of faults, and a plurality of conditions.
Abstract: A target vehicle speed of when a vehicle travels a predetermined forward section is acquired. An acceleration gear ratio for acceleration of the vehicle to reach a vehicle speed higher than the target vehicle speed after the travel of the predetermined section is acquired. The gear ratio of the vehicle is set to the acceleration gear ratio before the vehicle reaches the start point of the predetermined section. Before the vehicle reaches the start point of the predetermined section, the vehicle speed is lowered to the target vehicle speed.
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for administrating an order. In one embodiment, a computer-implemented method is provided. The method includes the steps of receiving, by a first participant, a customer order and checking the availability of an ordered quantity of products within a first group of inventory data objects. Further, the availability of the ordered quantity of products is checked within a second group of inventory data objects, if the ordered products were not found within the first group. The checking may be repeated for additional groups until the ordered products are found or any further group is no longer available. Thereafter, the ordered quantity of products is delivered to the customer.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for creating and managing structured order items. In one embodiment, a method is provided for creating and managing structured order items according to a customer order within a supply chain management system, wherein the customer order specifies a plurality of products and required quantities thereof. The method comprises the steps of checking availability of the required quantity of the products, and comparing the available quantity of the products with the ordered quantity of the products. The method further comprises replacing the ordered product by a variant product, if the available quantity of the product does not correspond to the ordered quantity of the product, the variant product comprising a plurality of replacement products. Additionally, the method includes creating structured order items according to the variant product, and updating the customer order to replace the ordered product with the structured order items.

Abstract: A self-checkout kiosk enables a patron to purchase or allocate to an account a product displayed in a vending area and carrying a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag. The patron exits the vending area through a security portal. The kiosk, a bill acceptor, a computer monitor and/or a mobile device enables the patron to complete a purchase or allocate transaction prior to exiting the vending area through the portal. The portal includes RFID reading antennas for marking products stolen when transferred through the portal without a transaction. Alternatively, a smart shelf keeps track of products on the smart shelf and keeps a checkout tally of removed products. If the patron does not complete a purchase or allocate transaction, or returns the product to the smart shelf within a user-defined set of time, the smart shelf will mark the product as stolen. A security system responds to products marked as stolen.
Abstract: One aspect of the present invention is a computer-implemented method for processing remanufactured part cores. The method includes receiving manufactured part core inventory information. The inventory information can include an inventory forecast and an inventory level for a number of parts. The method further includes receiving a part number of a part to be processed. The part to be processed is a member of the number of parts. The method further includes receiving one or more business rules for processing the part to be processed. A part disposition for the part to be processed is determined based on the remanufactured part core inventory information, the one or more business rules and the part number.

Abstract: An online experience of a user is dynamically configured at the micro-regional level based to achieve an objective associated with sales of a product. A catchment zone is determined, which identifies the geographic region associated with the objective and the product. The online user experience for users in the catchment zone is modified to achieve the objective.
Abstract: Online behavior of users related to a product is captured. Also, offline sales for the product is also captured. Geo-location parameters are also determined for the captured online and offline data. Using the geo-location parameters and captured data for the product, a smallest geo-location parameter of statistical significance for estimating an impact of the online behavior on offline sales is determined.
Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product are provided for associating a first participant and a second participant in a social network. In one embodiment, payment is received from a first participant. Additionally, an association between the first participant and a second participant in a social network is provided, in exchange for the payment.

Abstract: A facility for analyzing ordering trends for an item is described. Based upon an historical ordering activity for the item, the facility projects future ordering activity for the item. The facility compares the future ordering activity projected for the item to inventory in the item. Based upon this comparison, the facility determines when future ordering activity is expected to exhaust inventory in the item.
Abstract: A program by which retailers offer customers an exchange of older technology for newer technology. The older technology and newer technology have a common characteristic that facilitates the retailer to give the customer the newer technology for a reduced cost.
Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product are provided for identifying an optimized rating scheme. In use, a first rate calculated for an event utilizing a first predefined rating scheme is received. Additionally, at least one second rate for the event is calculated, utilizing at least one second predefined rating scheme. Further, an optimized rating scheme is identified by comparing the first rate and the at least one second rate.
Abstract: An assistance method and device for lateral control of an aircraft upon an approach phase is disclosed. The device (1) comprises means (25) to predict in flight a risk of runway lateral excursion and means (20) to advise the pilot of the aircraft about the existence of such a risk.
Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product are provided for dynamically altering a rating based on network conditions. In operation, at least one aspect of a condition of a network is identified. Furthermore, a rating in association with an event is dynamically altered, based on the at least one aspect of the condition of the network.
Abstract: Provided is an electric power steering control device capable of performing damping control without current detection to perform stable damping control even when a target current and an actual current value differ from each other. The electric power steering control device includes steering torque detection means for detecting a steering torque, a torque controller for computing an assist torque current, a motor for generating a torque for assisting the steering torque, rotation speed estimation means for estimating a rotation speed of the motor, and a damping controller for computing a damping current by using an estimated value of the rotation speed of the motor.
