  • Patent number: 11765788
Abstract: The Automated Content Upload System networks a plurality of aircraft together when they are parked at the gates of an airport. Communications among the aircraft are guided by a Content Manager, resident at or near the airport, which maintains data representative of InFlight Entertainment Content presently stored on each aircraft and the list of scheduled InFlight Entertainment Content available on each aircraft. The Content Manager guides the exchange of InFlight Entertainment Content among the aircraft, as well as from the Content Manager to the aircraft, to automatically distribute InFlight Entertainment Content to the aircraft efficiently and timely. This process includes the ability to multicast data from the Content Manager to multiple aircraft in a single transmission, obtaining content delivery efficiency, populating multiple aircraft via a single transmission from the Content Manager.

  • Patent number: 11729607
Abstract: A network device receives a location update message from a mobile network switch. The location update message indicates that a mobile device is registered with the mobile network switch. The location update message includes an international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) associated with the mobile device. The network device determines, based at least on the IMSI, a plurality of MSISDNs associated with the mobile device, including a first MSISDN that is enabled for calling and a second MSISDN that is not enabled for calling. The network device transmits, in response to the location update message, subscriber data to a database associated with the mobile network switch, which associates the IMSI with the first MSISDN.

  • Patent number: 11711693
Abstract: A non-SI device (120) is arranged for wireless communication (130) and cooperates with an SI device (110) having access to a subscriber identity. The non-SI device has a transceiver (121) to communicate in a local network and a processor (122) to establish an association with the SI. A non-SI public key is provided to the SI device via a first communication channel. A verification code is shared with the SI device via a second communication channel. The channels are different and include an out-of-band channel (140). Proof of possession of a non-SI private key is provided to the SI device via the first or the second communication channel. From the SI device, security data is received that is related to the SI and is computed using the non-SI public key. The security data reliably enables the non-SI device to access the core network via the local network and a gateway between the local network and the core network.

  • Patent number: 11711140
Abstract: An apparatus and method are disclosed for mitigating pointing errors resulting from satellite antennas. Reports are received from terminals in a beam hopping satellite communication system, and a pointing error associated with a satellite antenna is determined. The best beam for communicating with each terminal is selected based on the pointing error. A beam list containing the instantaneous traffic demand of terminals for each beam in the system is generated. An active beam set is then selected from the beam list for transmitting data during the next hop in the satellite communication system.

  • Patent number: 11611878
Abstract: Traveling road information including traveling roads of another vehicle and the own vehicle is acquired on the basis of own-vehicle information and other-vehicle information received by a reception unit. Whether or not verification processing is needed for verification information accompanying the other-vehicle information received by the reception unit is determined on the basis of the traveling road information and the other-vehicle information. Thus, a message unnecessary for the own vehicle is not subjected to verification, so that the load on the vehicle communication device is reduced.

  • Patent number: 11523002
Abstract: A network services provider delivers bandwidth services to users in relation to a dynamic limit based on an average user consumption, rather than a fixed amount per subscriber. An average user consumption is employed to compute a consumption limit from relative portions of a user community substantially exceed the average, typically defined as “heavy users.” Usage levels below the consumption limit have an increased availability up to the consumption limit. The consumption limit may vary from a total capacity of the service infrastructure, which changes, generally in an increasing manner, as additional resources are added to the network. The consumption limits may be defined over different service intervals, such as daily, weekly or monthly, and for different groups of users depending on network layout.
