Abstract: The present disclosure describes a method for creating data products in real-time with the aid of a ground station system. The method includes the steps of monitoring one or more communication links for newly captured sensor data and positional data of oblique images, saving the sensor data and positional data to one or more directories of one or more computer readable media, monitoring the one or more directories of one or more computer readable media for sensor data and positional data, processing the sensor data and positional data to create one or more data products for use by one or more mapping and exploitation systems responsive to the sensor data and positional data being saved in the one or more directories, and storing the one or more data products to one or more directories of one or more computer readable media.

Abstract: A method for providing content via a computer network and computing device, which may include: storing data associated with and indicative of a plurality of presentations; receiving a request to host an audio presentation; receiving and storing data associated with the requested audio presentation; initiating and recording one or more telephone calls; and, presenting at least a portion of the stored data for selection by the computing device; wherein, selection causes the stored data indicative of the selected audio/visual or audio presentation to be provided to the computing device for playback thereby via the computer network. The method may include storing data associated with and indicative of a first plurality of presentations; storing data associated with a plurality of second presentation feeds: automatically and periodically accessing each of the feeds; and aggregating each of the presentations for delivery via the computer network.

Abstract: A method and associated systems for using analytics to optimize performance of a messaging system via topic migration to alternate delivery methods. A messaging system delivers messages organized into topics to users by any of several message-delivery mechanisms, such as a publish/subscribe push mechanism and an HTTP polling pull mechanism. A processor analyzes characteristics of messages associated with a particular topic and delivered by a first delivery mechanism, and if it finds that those characteristics render the first delivery mechanism an inefficient or expensive way to deliver those messages, it determines whether a second mechanism would be more efficient or less expensive. If so, the messaging system then migrates all messages associated with the topic to the second mechanism, regardless of an identity or other characteristic of a user that receives messages associated with the topic.

Abstract: In a media server, a registration processing block registers a client apparatus connectable to the media server and an information provision block provides information related with the registered client apparatus to an information processing apparatus. In the information processing apparatus, when an information acquisition block acquires information related with two or more client apparatuses, then a display processing block generates display data for displaying type identification information and device identification information for each client apparatus. The type identification information is a name of the client apparatus and the device identification information is a MAC address.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to question and answer management in a collaborative environment, and provide a novel and non-obvious method, system and apparatus for synchronizing questions and answers in an instant messaging session. In one embodiment of the invention, a method of synchronizing questions and answers in an instant messaging session can be provided. The method can include maintaining an instant messaging session between first and second participants, identifying questions and answers in the instant messaging text, matching each of the answers to a corresponding one of the questions, and displaying the matched questions and answers supplementally to the displaying of the chat transcript, ensuring that a participant does not overlook a question where response on their part is required.

An exemplary embodiment communicatively couples a portable media device to a media device that initially receives a media content stream comprising at least one supplemental media rich content trigger, wherein the supplemental media rich content trigger includes access information configured to access at least one media rich content server; receives a portion of the media content stream with the supplemental media rich content trigger at the portable media device; establishes a communication link between the portable media device and the media rich content server based upon the access information in the received supplemental media rich content trigger; receives supplemental media rich content from the media rich content server; and presents at least the received supplemental media rich content on a display of the portable media device.

Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for generating a dynamically generated ad hoc cloud storage system of mobile devices. A mobile device transmits a request to dynamically generate an ad hoc cloud storage system, to other devices within a local vicinity of the mobile device. Responses are received from the other devices within the local vicinity of the mobile device indicating that a corresponding device is available to participate in the dynamically generated ad hoc cloud storage system. The dynamically generated ad hoc cloud storage system is generated using memory resources of the other devices corresponding to the responses. The mobile device captures recording data and distributes the recording data to the other devices for storage in memory resources of the other devices.

Abstract: A method for spooling diameter transactions is provided. The method comprises receiving from a Diameter client a Diameter request message; determining based in part on a type of the received request message if the received request message should be spooled; determining if a current transaction rate exceeds a predefined spooling threshold, if the received request message should be spooled; and queuing the received request message if the current transaction rate exceeds the spooling threshold.

Abstract: A source network device of a cloud computing network receives a packet destined for a destination virtual machine provided in a destination cloud computing device. The packet is received from a source virtual machine provided in a source cloud computing device. The source network device associates, to the packet, a source shaping resource of the source network device, where the source shaping resource includes a bandwidth that matches or exceeds a bandwidth associated with the source virtual machine. The source network device adds, to the packet, a header that identifies an address of the source virtual machine, an identifier associated with the source shaping resource, and the bandwidth associated with the source virtual machine. The source network device provides, via the source shaping resource, the packet and the header to the cloud computing network for transmission to the destination virtual machine.

Abstract: An Constant Access Gateway provides secure access for remote mobile computing users to centrally stored data without requiring a VPN connection or a direct connection to the LAN in which the data resides. A Cache Server works alone or in conjunction with the Constant Access Gateway to provide distributed access to the centrally stored data. The Cache Server performs local storage of de-duplicated versions of the centrally stored data, and may interact with the Constant Access Gateway to maintain cache coherency with the central data store.

Abstract: An approach is provided for selective sharing of semantic information sets in a smart space interoperable across platforms, devices, and equipment. A personal smart space application creates a personal information space for a user, wherein the personal information space includes a plurality of semantic information sets. Thereafter, the personal smart space application receives a request for selective sharing of the semantic information sets, and merges, in response to the request, a projection of the selected semantic information sets into a shared information space.

Abstract: Profile generation for bandwidth management is provided. A content provider receive a notification regarding a new application or media file. Profile information for the application or media file is determined. Such profile information includes information regarding consumption of bandwidth throughout a time period of usage of the application or media file. The profile may be stored in memory in association with the application or media file. A request is received from a user device regarding access to the application or media file. Access to the requested application or media is provided to the user device; the profile is also provided to the user device for use in evaluating whether bandwidth requirements of the application or media file exceeds an available network bandwidth of a network of the user device.

Abstract: This invention describes a method for establishing an ad-hoc group based on addresses of users in a message (e.g., an e-mail) received or sent using a pre-selected communication method (e.g., an e-mail communication) by an electronic device. Any recipient or a sender of the e-mail message can use the e-mail addresses in the message in order to establish a permanent (stored in the device) or a temporary (used immediately in a context of another communication application) ad-hoc group. The user may select all or only a part of the people (other users) into the ad-hoc group. The group-data can have several types of addresses of users such as phone numbers, SIP addresses, wireless village IDs, etc. needed in conjunction with desired applications. Creating the ad-hoc group from the e-mail message can utilize information that already exists in the electronic device and, if needed, acquired additional information from a remote service.

Abstract: Methods and systems for supplying media over communication networks are described. In one embodiment, a media supplier determines whether a media object hosted on a web server will be supplied to a client by streaming or not by streaming. Preferably, if the determination is to stream, the media supplier streams the media object to the client. In some cases, the same media supplier may be capable of supplying clients with media objects hosted on any of at least two web servers.
